so what is the half majority then? cause unless i'm wrong we got kevinH with 4 votes before his lynch and i was going off narsis claim that the day was almost up before the extension. but if you wanna lynch me then go ahead. just remember the first 4 ppl will be under the most scrutiny after i'm dead and my role is relieved. also i can protect myself if i so choose btw so that argument is a moot point

My vote was just a random vote. Go back and read all the posts again, it was Mole and Martino that were responsible for his death and got everyone to vote for KevinH, not me.

Despite what EM has said, I still strongly believe that AoD is scum and should be our lynch for today. I haven't even finished the PBP. Yet he did very little to contribute to the game during D1 and was very quick to make a fake PR claim during D2 when it was completely unnecessary, as someone has pointed out.

 

Other candidates for today's lynch - well, the main one is EM. I'm not really feeling the EM case right now. This, admittedly, could be due to my pushing for AoD's lynch, but reading Sir Jesus' original vote-post on EM, I really can't see much worth pointing out. His lesser contribution than in other games was prewarned by EM himself, and so is a nulltell in terms of his alignment. Sir Jesus really didn't give EM much of a chance to respond before jumping to a vote. @EM - Why did you ask the question about Carl Vincent that Sir Jesus pointed out here?

 

Cases are getting stronger as time in the game goes by. I feel that Sir Jesus' case on EM is a little reaching. Whilst I will be the first to admit the case I have presented for AoD's lynch isn't watertight, I still feel that he's really worth a lynch.

 

To those who voted EM - are there other reasons for his lynch other than those Sir Jesus pointed out in his original post? If so, could you please link me to them?

Responsibility that I will accept. I will accept that I played a major part in KevinH's death, and don't particularly regret it either. He was scummy as hell, and if he had survived I would just be on his back again today. At least this way we can move on.

I asked this question because it is my belief that there were more scum that did not vote for KevinH than there were who did. I believe this because KevinH had enough evidence against him that it was not necessary for scum to vote for his death. Scum would have liked to sit this one out and keep the attention on other well meaning townies.

 

My question was aimed at those people who voted for others Day1 to see what they had to say in hindsight about their votes. I think that scum would want to vote but lay it on someone who didn't have a good chance to be actually lynched. It's like saying, "I'm participating but I know that my votes won't kill any townies and thus bring less suspicion on me."

 

I've played enough games to understand that in order for scum to win the game they have to appear most townie like. Not voting to lynch townies is a good way to avoid detection. Once the scum saw how much trouble Kevin was getting into, it would seem obvious that they would not want to be associated with his death. This is also why I tend to believe Mole is pro-town because he and Martino were very vocal and not afraid to stick their necks out in regards to Kevin.

Not sure why people think AOD role claim was premature.

 

1. Long weekend and it tends to be inactive.

2. We didn't get an extension prior to AOD hinting to a role claim so deadline was still Sep 8th.

3. AOD roleclaimed on Sep 5/6th.

4. Falzis is wrong about the lynch. SINCE there is only 10 of us left, it only takes 5/6 for a majority lynch. Probably 3 for a half-majority lynch on deadline day.

5.. Guess what...AOD had 3 votes when he role-claimed.

Nope...it past games I've played...half of 6 is 3 not 4.

Not sure how Narsis would have mod it but that's what I've seen in past games.

I also don't believe AoD's role claim. He didn't have a half-majority vote before deadline lynch. He had 3 votes. That's not a half majority (it's 4 out of 7, 7 out of 12 is the majority lynch). Plus, if he is the doc, it's incredulous to role claim since he will surely be NKed since who would protect him. Unless he can protect himself, which I doubt, right?

Lynching is the town's asset. Think of it a bit more. If AOD gets lynched, turns up doc, day ends, mafia lynch townie. See we lost 2 townies now. If we get lucky and lynch scum instead, AOD gets nk...we are still better off cuz we lynched scum.

And yeah...a doc can't protect themselves.

Say we got EM to half-majority lynch, it was deadline in a few days, and he RCed as a powerrole as well, would you give him the benefit of the doubt of the doubt? That's why I'm voting AoD.

Depends on what I see in past and recent posts. I'm not entirely convinced on either one's townieness. I just find it surprising that SJ is so adamant on EM being scum. Lies and truths are being told right now. It's up to us to see the truth.

mole already preempted that. but secondly, wouldn't a doc who can protect himself break a game? because if that was so, then in any game, the doc would role claim, give the townspeople a person they can be certain who is town, and would never be killed, wasting NK attempts of scum on one day?

 

point is, first it's hard to believe anyone would role claim they are the doc in any game because they'd be NK target, but secondly, a doc that can self-protect is a broken power role.

@AOD - how often are you able to protect yourself from a nk? Can you paraphrase your power (don't quote so you don't get modkilled)?

i dont know what the success rate for a self protect is, it was never mentioned in the pm, all it said was i had the ability to protect others or if i choose myself, i'm assuming its a random chance of success or failure
