Plane Crash II - Game Thread - GAME OVER!

Another day, another plane. Captain "Anger-Management" Tilden (As he was known secretly by the crew) had always been proud of how he handled the flights on his plane. Always smooth, orderly, and comfortable for the passengers. And he intended to keep it that way, he reflected, carrying his bags through the airport terminal. Today's flight was to be a tedious one over the atlantic. But never mind.

Got to keep alert, he mused as his bags went through a scanner. Terrorists were everywhere these days. The takeoff was, as always, impeccable. The passengers seemed fairly happy, apart from that hungover one complaining about the lack of painkillers, and Tilden settled himself down for a smooth flight.

A few hours into the flight, the door to the cockpit was nudged open, breaking the silence. Tilden stiffened. It was probably that flight attendant. It was no secret amongst the crew that Tilden had a thing for her. But he didn't care. He wasn't about to ruin his chances by shouting again.

"Ah, Marie, could you-"

That was as far as he got. Looking at the reflection in the window, he saw a man in plain clothes. A passenger? He was striding up to Tilden with purpose. Tilden's eyes widened as he saw the flash of a blade. He opened his mouth to speak, but couldn't. A knife was swiftly drawn across his throat. He choked, swiftly passing into unconsciousness.

And yet no-one noticed the 2 dead pilots in the cockpit. Marie, the flight attendant, was about halfway through serving drinks. She glanced to the left, flashed a fake smile to the passenger before seeing he was unconscious.

She sighed, and rolled her eyes, recognising the passenger as the one with the hangover. She was about to turn away, when something caught her eye. Had he spilt coffee on himself? She sighed again, reaching for some napkins.

Wait. That wasn't coffee.

She screamed, noticing the blood spread out over the man's torso. The passenger's heads turned round to look at her. The man's pocket identified him as a Police officer.

It was happening again...

I wouldn't mind finishing Day 1 early myself. Kevin brings up a good point about not doing the lynch on a Friday so the sooner we get it done the better.

MOD: If we lynch crazymolad tomorrow will you send all of the other players a prod notifying them to post their room movements?

No.

I will, however, check for normal prods.

yeah narsis, i don't like firkked and i don't like sincon. they both seem to be changing votes too easily for my liking.

vote: falzis

for trying too much to excuse his vote on a inactive.

That's funny cuz I keyed onto junkahoolic too.

Mainly cuz he first suggested outing the cop plan and his recent vote on Falzis.

I didn't see why he would vote for Falzis...particularly this late in D1.

[i did both thing actually just for giving options and outlying possibilities.[/color] i don't really like the way sinkon was bandwaggoned and accused to be scum by so many people when everyone else was left out of the equation in d1. we lost a lot of time talking nonsense about how we should arrange ourselves and in what rooms should we go when it could have been done a lot faster. this also made the game boring for me.

My bold comments relate to the bold items in junk's posts, green w/ green, etc.

Junkahoolic says he doesn't like SinKon but then 2 days later he says he doesn't like that other people accuse him to be scum?

He doesn't like SinKon and Firkked because they switch votes too easily w/out reason but then turns around and doesn't like Falzis for giving too much of a reason?

He then says his reason for voting Falzis was basically just random.

Junk's posts don't make sense. He's calling people out based off their voting but then throws a vote on Falzis. When questioned about it, he admits it was just a random vote. Also, is he pro-SinKon or anti-SinKon? According to his posts, he's both. His accusations against Firkked have yet to be backed up with evidence although I've asked twice now.

I'm very suspicious of junkahoolic.

I'm very suspicious of junkahoolic.

I'm just wondering what was the point of voting for Falzis.

It's like a wasted vote since Falzis is not a lynch candidate.

He could have placed a SFOS if he thought Falzis excuse was lame.

Meh...maybe I'm reading too much into it.

We'll see what happens on N1.

If I get killed, I think it will probably be by one of the two others in the room with me. (That attempt at humor will not be explained)

I'm ready for D1 to end. We probably want to avoid ending it on a Friday afternoon, though, since the 48 hours will run across the weekend when most are not playing.

That is a very good point. It doesn't seem like Crazyemolad will get active again and since there has been no sign of mole finding a replacement, we may as well end the day now. I'll vote in about 24 hours so that the 48 hour period is still outside the weekend. Anyway, before I, or someone else, votes, we need to make sure the room seating is absolutely clear. From what I understand we are sticking to the following division because we do not want to give the scum a chance to do anything in the cockpit. If you have any objections, please post them as soon as possible.

Room 1 = Sir Jesus, Firkked, junkahoolic

Room 4 = Electric Mango, AoD/SinKon, Kaziocore

Room 7 = Falzis, Narsis, KevinH

Room 8 = CanucksDynasty, Aquinas, Martino

i don't like sinkon. but i don't like more the fact that so many people were hard on his case d1 without any solid evidence. then i found it odd a few of them switched easily to crazy as if they didn't really care about who gets lynched.

I wasn't hard on SinKon as others were. I was just not into him. And I didn't switch over easily, I've made it known since someone popped up the idea (Kevin or Aquinas?) that I'd rather lynch an inactive than put a wrench on our plans.

HMMMMM...

Just so everyone knows.....

If so...then we should get that 7th vote on crazy and get this game moving.

If no one will do it...I'll place that 7th vote tonight or tomorrow.

As I said I'd do it too but, I wouldn't be willing to until the last day of D1 to give maximum time for a replacement and/or suspicions to change.

I did sign on to that idea for sure and use very similar diction but, KevinH could have very well said something to this effect prior to that you are referring too.

Room 1 = Sir Jesus, Firkked, junkahoolic

Room 4 = Electric Mango, AoD/SinKon, Kaziocore

To be clear, at any point in the 48 hours we may post our room assignments as assigned? We are not relying on any order?

To be clear, at any point in the 48 hours we may post our room assignments as assigned? We are not relying on any order?

That would be correct.

5. Players may only carry out night actions on players they in the same area as.

5-1. Any players with night powers may move ONE area adjacent to the one they chose to carry out their actions. This is done by PMing their move with their action.

So this means that people with night powers can move twice per day? Once in the 48 hours period and twice when they would like to use their night powers?

Only once when using their night powers.

They can move, like everyone else can, to somewhere to stay for the night.

They can then move to one adjacent compartment to carry out the action.

MOD: If someone moves to an adjacent area to carry out a night action, will they be allowed to move back to their original area, or will they have to spend the night in the area their night actions were performed?

They stay there.

that is interesting...although i dont quite see how it would prove useful since no one would be in an adjacent room...

Remnants of a tropical storm made me lose power but it's back now.

That would have been bad if it occurred during the 48-hour move phase and lasted a bit longer.

Maybe some of the roles have actions they perform in rooms. There might be a gathering-type role that can collect the special items. They might want to move to an adjacent empty room to gather things rather than compete with another gatherer in the same room.

2. ALL daytime discussion will take place with the players at Location 5

Will we see where players finish the night prior to moving back to location 5?

No. That would make it far too easy.

But nice try. :P

For my purposes...

Townies

CD (me obviously)

Narsis (provided details in 4 separate room strategy)

Firkked (first to post 4 separate room strategy)

EM (presumably he had the same idea as Firkked...I'll believe him on this one)

Kaziocore (was the first to vote for crazy...not wanting to lynch a possible active townie)

crazyemolad (most likely townie lynched on D1)

SJ (hunch he's townie)

Unknown

Falzis

Aquinas

KevinH

Suspects

AoD/SinKon - meh...my gut feeling

junkahoolic - outing cop plan and vote on Falzis

Martino - defended SinKon, says he didn't want a bandwagon lynch

OK...Martino.

I'll let you vote for crazy then.

I haven't seen any objections to the room assignments so let's go with that.

Finally after 27 pages...D1 will soon be over (longest D1 I ever played).

Or a person could move to another location at night if he suspects someone would investigate or kill him.

We may want to consider new strategies now that we know that movements will be tracked. If a mafia had to move to another room to kill someone it would be obvious because he didn't start the night in that room, and then he will be there with the victim in the morning.

I'll post more thoughts later and give it more serious thought.

Hold off on voting for crazy.

Our room placements are actually counterproductive actually. If that was so, then we shouldn't group people in the first place. We'd know anyway if they moved or not (which would suggest they have a night power, pro-town or not). I dunno but the room placements suggestion is now looking fishy and would just benefit the mafia.

MOD: Also, just to clarify, will we know who was in what room when the morning comes?

No.

(Deja vu, anyone?)

Edited by molestargazer

I doubt that's the case EM.

QFT. would allow for soe interesting strategies though...

such as spreading everyone out in 1/2 person rooms. then we'd know who moved where or didnt and could easily find mafia.

of course we would definitely not want any pro-town power roles to do anything if they would have to move...

If we don't know who was in what room when the morning comes, spreading out into 1/2 person room will give us a lot more suspects. Right? I am not too sure about myself anymore. (Please don't hit me <_< )

The one piece of information that completely changes 15 pages of bickering and FoSing...

/me facepalms

so now what? another 25 pages of room assignment discussion?

Either way I'll be ready to move to my assigned area and brace myself for all that D2 holds

If we can track movement's then Mafia would be at a severe disadvantage.

Mafia can never perform a nightkill in a max spread strategy cuz they would be in the room where the nightkill happened.

Something's not right.

Agreed. I don't think we will know in which room everyone ends the night. It just seems to make the game too easy as it completely removes the nightkills. (max 2 players per room, a NK without moving will give a confirmed scum, a NK with moving will also make it clear who the scum was). Still, I will hold off on voting until we know for certain.
