  1. Someone who is on the far left side of the political spectrum. Not as far as Communism, but someone wanting a soft socialist state. Big government, high taxes, government controlled mandatory programs, infringement on rights, large emphasis on controlling power. wait, did you just call a socialist = liberal? can I have 10 min in a soundproof room. plz. The terms are constanly used interchangeably. From everyday talk to the news media. But for the sake of correctness, I should have said, progressive extremists.

  3. ROFL. Hilary is going to win. Most hilarious thing I have heard all day. So lets hear your reasoning as to why you expect America will chose Obama 2.0? America made it clear in the 2014 Senate and Representatives election that they do not want Democrats running our government. What makes it so obvious that by 2016 people will want a liberal extremist in the office again? Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of Republicans I don't like because they are just as liberal and want big government controlling your ever day life. But isn't it obvious people like Hilary lie and lie and lie and will never tell the truth. But I suppose since ABC, CBS, MSNBC, NBC, CNN all talk about how whichever Democrat is running for election is Lord Jesus Christ and Savior, the American public doesn't know what to believe.
  4. Indeed it is. Granted non important footage is probably only kept for a short length of time before getting deleted. But I would imagine large cities would need to buy several terrabyte drives every few months, especially if shooting in 720p/1080p. Finding the space to store all these external drives could be problematic in the near future.

  6. Hilary Clinton announces 2016 run. Meh, what difference does it make? Going to be a hard for her to gain votes given her screw ups. Only the die hard liberals, uniformed voters, and feminists would cast a vote for her.
  7. I should warn you that running games like Mafia and other RP games is a huge commitment. You definitely need plenty of experience or else your players will likely lose interest.
  8. I saw this video several days ago and I was appalled. That Officer committed murder and I hope he is found guilty in Court. Most police departments require their Officers to wear audio recorders. So if the Officer was wearing one, I would be very interested in hearing the entire conversation. As for this being about firearms, it has nothing to do with that. This was a messed up individual who chose to use his law enforcement authority to kill someone without due cause. Even without a firearm, the officer could killed him with an expandable baton (which is classified as a less than lethal device) by striking his head repeatedly. A firearm is just a tool, take it away and people will still find ways to murder and inflict harm.
  9. I am very intrigued. I haven't played Mafia online before so I'm curious to hear what actually happened.
  10. The victory in Vietnam and Iraq were strategic and solely militarily. Enemy combatants were wiped out and proved no more current threat. However, it was a hollow victory. Victory in Vietnam was achieved by killing and bombing the NVA enough to force them to the peace table. That's where the technicality part come sin because the war was won because of the racked up body count and the fact during the course of the war, the US never lost an engagement. But nevertheless, it was considered a hollow victory based on what happened in 1975.
  11. If you really want to get technical, the U.S. did win the Vietnam War. In 1973, as the U.S. military left, South Vietnam was a stable country and a peace agreement between North and South was reached. The combat mission had been won and the Viet Cong were decimated. And the NVA promised to stay on their side of the border. The U.S. also promised to continue aiding the South in terms of money, vehicles, gear, and weapons. In late 1974, NVA troops broke the peace agreement and began attacking South Vietnam positions. President Ford asked Congress for funding to go toward the South Vietnam, but Congress refused. North Vietnam, supported by both the USSR and China easily swept the South and claimed Saigon by April 1975. Same thing about the Iraq War, if you want to get technical, the U.S. also won that war. Iraq was relatively stable when the US pulled out in 2010. And the real reason why troops left was because the Iraqi Government wouldn't give U.S. Military members immunity from Iraqi Court trials. So the country was deemed safe, the Iraq military in good shape, and everyone left. Al Maliki then proceeded to degrade the military by offering positions to unqualified friends of his. Hence why half the country collapsed so quickly and ISIL ended up with bucket loads of former U.S. Military hardware. If the U.S. Had kept a small presence in these countries its doubtful these countries would capitulate. There is a reason why Germany and South Korea still exist as stable, prosperous countries.
  12. So current news sources are stating the U.S. wimped out and agreed to better Iranian terms. Largely because Kerry wanted a deal. I definitely fear a Middle East nuclear arms race. If it appears Iran has the capability of one day acquiring nuclear weapons, you can sure bet that North Korea will share technology on ballistic missiles. Mate the two together and you have some rather crude Intercontinental Nuclear Missiles. Saudi Arabia will probably begin development on their own program (with likely assistance from Pakistan). Israel may attempt to increase its stockpile (assuming of course the rumors of them possessing nuclear weapons are true.) And the Iron Dome Anti Missile Shield would be increased. Even if Iran allows International Inspectors in the country, they have a huge network of underground bunkers and facilities. All of these can't be known to the International Community. So it wouldn't be extremely difficult for Iran to secretly be subverting a portion of its nuclear stockpile to classified facilities. Some of these sites are reportedly beyond the reach capabilities of U.S. Bunker Busters. Although the U.S. has upgraded some Bunker Busters to hit even deeper, more fortified targets. I doubt Iran would be stupid enough to actually use nuclear technology as a weapon, for fear of repercussions. But what if that technology/materials ends up in the hands of unstable organizations or terrorist factions? Whether covertly given to them or a false flag security breach? Now that would be an incredibly scary event.
  13. Don't you just hate when random people show up and start spamming our boards with nonsense? I mean its comical at first, but it quickly gets annoying sifting their their garbage when they post in important threads. Not naming names here but I think we all know who I'm referring to. And random invidiuals in the past.
  14. I remember the first time I flew on a plane. It was several years ago and I did my best to mentally prepare myself if an attemped hijacking were to occur. I knew that if one happened, I must react quickly and do everything I can to stop the threat. Thankfully this incident was resolved quickly and the passengers didn't experience the bystander effect.
  15. Well the Soviet Union did have a history of announcing their leader was ill, and then several weeks later stating they had actually died and withheld the information to prevent panic.
  16. Yes, I am fully aware that their are 2 assigned Air Force Planes for the Presidency, and that any plane the President steps, automatically is assigned the call sign, Air Force One, regardless of make/model.
  17. Its not that Obama should be micro managing everything, but why is it that the Staff running his Administration are absolutely clueless to what is occuring throughout the U.S. We have all these departments and agencies and while we can't keep track of everything going on in them, we certainly can certainly improve how they operate. The Secret Service is another fine example of having fallen in dismay. Just look at all the incidents involing the Secret Service since 2009. These types of issues never were brought up (not saying things of this nature never happened, but if it was a big enough story it would have likely gotten leaked), during the 1st Bush Administration, the Clinton Administration (which had its own issues but no one ever got killed or died), and the 2nd Bush Administration. So why is it that all of a sudden, as soon as the Obama Presidency takes Office that all these apparent 'rogue' acts keep happening within our Government, and Obama claims to have no knowledge of them. I'm trying to take the hard route and not the easy road. The easy one would be just saying Obama is a disconnected President who spends his time playing golf. Thats not what I'm trying to say at all. I'm presenting evidence of a somewhat disturbing noticeable pattern and I'm really hoping we can all have the maturity of not blowing this up into a biased thread bashing fest. So for those who wish to comment, please lets keep it civil and only state facts which can be backed up, and supported. Opinions are great but please leave out unwanted insults.
  18. So I went on Facebook this morning and I had a compelling drive to write this out. I've been thinking of these events over the past couple months and the recent news regarding Clinton's private email service and Obama being unaware of it made me sit down and want to share my thoughts with everyone here. Below is what I posted on Facebook earlier today. Is it just me, or does it seem like our President 'supposedly' gets most of his news from outside news sources? There are numerous instances where he has used the excuse about not knowing anything, but I will only list the most glaring and controversial events. Air Force One Flyover of New York City: In April 2009, I personally got too see this event first hand as I was in NYC on a school field trip. Air Force One flew low over New York City as part of a photo op. Local officials were not told about this event, and it led to some public panic, given the events of 9/11. The whole flight looked very strange because a huge plane was flying formation with an Air Force Fighter Jet. It was almost like the plane was being escorted to land due to an in air incident. When asked about the flyover, Obama stated "It was a mistake, as was -- as was stated. It was something we found out about along with all of you and it will not happen again." How did Obama not know air Force One was on an exercise or photo op? Its simply impossible he was not told in advance Air Force One was to be unavailable during that time frame. Or where Air Force One would be located. Fast and the Furious: In December 2010, U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed by gunfire from weapons the ATF allowed into Mexico. The ATF originally hoped to let these weapons into Mexico and subsequently trace them to drug cartels. The investigation was handled so poorly that most of these weapons simply vanished and ended up killing numerous Mexican citizens, Mexican Police Officers, and Agent Brain Terry. In a 2011 interview Obama was quoted as saying: "I heard on the news about this story that Fast and Furious, where allegedly guns were being run into Mexico and ATF knew about it but didn't apprehend those who had sent it". If this operation was truly started by the Bush Administration, then why did the Obama Administration not have better oversight for this operation, or cancel it entirely? This failed Operation could have been a powder keg had the news media accurately reported on the event instead of trying to cover it up. IRS Targeting of Conservative Groups: In 2013, IRS Official Lois Lerner stated that the IRS had been targeting conservative groups. When these groups would apply for tax exempt status, the IRS gave them increased scrutiny and did their best to draw out the time length of the approval process. When asked about this incident Obama responded "I first learned about it from the same news reports that I think most people learned about this,". Perhaps Obama truly didn't know about this incident, but then who did? Who in the IRS or higher up U.S. Government, ordered the intentional targeting of conservative organizations applying for tax exempt status? This is almost the similar to the Watergate incident. Which was a huge setback of this country, and it tarnished our image of a Democracy. Targeting someone using an abuse of power like what the IRS did isn't explicitly illegal, but it can open up Civil Lawsuits. VA Wait Time Scandal: In 2014, media reports began surfacing that dozens of veterans died while awaiting care at a Phoenix VA facility. Veterans were placed on secret waiting lists and some higher ups were supposedly given bonuses because of the small amounts of treatments being performed and patients. Obama claims he had no knowledge of these events whatsoever. But in late 2008, during Obama's wait to assume the Presidency, Veterans Affairs officials warned Obama and Biden that they shouldn’t trust the wait times that its facilities were reporting. Hilary Clinton Personal E-mails: We just learned recently that while acting as then Secretary of State, Clinton was using her own personal email service and not an official government email. She used this email to conduct confidential government business and it was her primary account. Obama stated that he heard about this "The same time as everybody else, through news reports.". Now I would like to think that an immense level of safeguards and security was used to secure and encrypt Clinton's emails. And using a private, high security email service should be up to the individual as long as its a highly reputable setup and protective measures are in place. But how could Obama not have known this? Her email address would not have ended with .gov therefore giving it away that it was an unofficial email source. Clinton and Obama exchanged emails on a regular basis so why did no one in the Obama Administration (or any Government Official for that matter) not realize or care that she was using a private email to conduct Official Government business? So my real question to all of this is, what does our President actually know? Or has he known about certain instances prior to them becoming a breaking news story (some credible evidence exists to support his administration knew about the growing VA problem), but simply does nothing to address the problem. Essentially playing dumb and hoping the problem goes away on its own. I expect more from this President because it is his duty to lead our country and take responsibility. He has used the "I didn't know" excuse far too many times. Even if he truly did not know, don't you think its his job to take it upon himself to ask questions and find out what is really going on?
  19. Indeed the Aks-74u is a carbine. However, it inadvertently tends to be labelled as a submachine gun. Same thing with the Car-15/Colt Commando, which is a rifle but everyone thinks its a submachine gun. From what I understand, the IDF and Israeli intelligence services did their best to warn Palestinians prior to being attacked. Calling cell phones or texting warnings, sending messages to home owners or aparement building residents giving them enough time to vacate. If anything, what happened last year was probably the kindest war Israel has ever fought since they put such a huge effort into trying to protect civilians. Which also led to reduced effectiveness of strikes since Hamas was now tipped off to where and what sites were going to get bombed. Rather difficult to conduct military operations when your oppenent intentionally hides amongst civilians. Successful counter insurgency is incredibly hard to achieve. Recent history only has a small handful of counter insurgency operations that achieved their goals. Over 2000 civilians killed including 513 children. If you call that a kind war, you need to re-examine your values. The reasoning behind me saying 'kind' is because the effort that went into warning civivlians prior to strikes. Its not the IDF's fault if they warn innocents prior to an attack happening the next day, and Hamas keeps the civilians inside the known targeted buildings. Yes you can argue the civilian death number was higher than the average Israeli/Palestinian war, but Isreal seemed to go out of its way attempting to minimize civilian deaths. I am also not interested in making this personal so I'm letting that comment about my values slide.

  21. Very sad event that unfolded. My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families. So I've been reading some articles and their is a rather inconsistent report regarding the weaponry used. One article (http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/jan/07/paris-terror-attack-what-we-know-so-far) metioned the attackers used 'pump-action Kalashnikovs'. What the heck is a pump action Kalashnikov? The'yre Saiga and Vepyr semi auto shotguns, but by no means dothese firearms even resemble the an AK-47/AKM/Ak-74. Other articles I've read just say Kalashnikovs or Kalashnikov submachine guns (Aks-74U perhaps?) A video has currently surfaced showing 2 attackers. One of them is carrying what looks like a short barrelled AK with grey/white handguards and a folding stock. The other black AK looks like an AK-74, as it has a unique muzzlebrake, and it may have an underfolding stock. Footage isn't the best quality but its crazy to think someone risked their life to film it. (http://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2015/jan/07/shooting-paris-satirical-magazine-charlie-hebdo) Makes you wonder how these firearms ended up in France.
  22. I remember heating a story last year told by a New York State Sheriff regarding one of his Deputies. The Sheriff Deputy was responding to an incident regarding an armed man somewhere around his residence. Upon arrival the Sheriff exited the vehicle and immediately took at least 1 rifle round. I believe he was shot a second time. The suspect was apprehended shortly after. During recovery the wounded Deputy was visited by his boss, the Sheriff, in the hospital. After talking with him for some time, the Sheriff asked the how the deputy views firearms now. He asked if he thought these 'assault rifles' should be banned. The deputy replied that his viewpoints on firearms have not changed even after being shot. The deputy still believes that it is a man or woman's right to keep and bear arms for defense. No one should be allowed to take away an individuals right to protect them self. Only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Taking away the good guys gun will still allow the bad guy to keep his gun. As someone who is law abiding even I can attest to how ridiculously easy it I to acquire an illegal firearm. Whether it be making one yourself, which building a single shot device using a .22 or small pistol cartridge is incredibly easy. Or designing a fully automatic recoil operated firearm also isn't too difficult. Then there are also numerous websites that exist in the dark web that offer firearms, drugs, and other illegal services. And there's always the find the guys who can sell you drugs, as one of them will likely know how to acquire a firearm. Illegally importing a firearm into a country also isn't that difficult if you know what your doing. Any country with land access to another country can do this with some ease. This is all coming from someone who observed what other people have been doing. And in some course, in the event of acquaints I've known over the years. All of this people were inexperienced and still managed some degree of success. So I can safely say an expert on illegal activities would be able to achieve better results. How do I know all this stuff without actually doing anything illegal? I graduated college with a criminal justice degree and partook in various criminal justice/political science clubs. Not only did I do lots of textbook reading, but I went beyond the course material to see what 'other world' really does exist out there. It truly is amazing to hear the things people are willing to share. People traditionally love to talk and subsequently spill secrets. Whether in accident or due to boasting. But I suppose this is a good fault of humanity. Many crimes have been solved and criminals sent to prison all because they felt the need to converse about their illegal activities.
