How to NOT get your ass kicked
Most of the world isn't much better, but the U.S.'s drug war has failed at everything except screwing over a quarter of their population and robbing the rest of tax money. The money the drug war costs in enforcement, imprisonment, and taxes could easily fund most of the programs that are bankrupting the nation. only people who complain about cops are the ones that felt them personally so tell us, why did you see the inside of a gray concrete cubicle? Crackho sold me out.

Yeah, but never forget that the police are not your friends or your protectors. Oh, they will help and are generally decent peeps, but they will do their best to mess you up if they can pin something on you. Upping their crime-solving stats or taking your "drug-tainted" stuff for their bonuses will always trump the truth. As for preventing crime, it's rare that they get anywhere faster than 15 minutes minimum. By that time, you are bleeding dead on the street.

Offensive Joke Spam
What do you call offense in CN? Chartered accountancy. MESSAGE FROM THE DUKE OF WELLINGTON TO THE BRITISH FOREIGN OFFICE IN LONDON-- written from Central Spain, August 1812 Gentlemen, Whilst marching from Portugal to a position which commands the approach to Madrid and the French forces, my officers have been diligently complying with your requests which have been sent by H.M. ship from London to Lisbon and thence by dispatch to our headquarters. We have enumerated our saddles, bridles, tents and tent poles, and all manner of sundry items for which His Majesty's Government holds me accountable. I have dispatched reports on the character, wit, and spleen of every officer. Each item and every farthing has been accounted for, with two regrettable exceptions for which I beg your indulgence. Unfortunately the sum of one shilling and ninepence remains unaccounted for in one infantry battalion's petty cash and there has been a hideous confusion as the number of jars of raspberry jam issued to one cavalry regiment during a sandstorm in western Spain. This reprehensible carelessness may be related to the pressure of circumstance, since we are war with France, a fact which may come as a bit of a surprise to you gentlemen in Whitehall. This brings me to my present purpose, which is to request elucidation of my instructions from His Majesty's Government so that I may better understand why I am dragging an army over these barren plains. I construe that perforce it must be one of two alternative duties, as given below. I shall pursue either one with the best of my ability, but I cannot do both: 1. To train an army of uniformed British clerks in Spain for the benefit of the accountants and copy-boys in London or perchance. 2. To see to it that the forces of Napoleon are driven out of Spain. Your most obedient servant, Wellington

Into The Wild
Looking for off-the-grid survivalists on the internet is...ironic? It sounds like you're approaching it as a learning experience, which will help a lot. Master the skills over time. Doing something when you're cold and starving is different than in a backyard or park. Also, don't approach it as a stress-free lifestyle. Living in the wilderness is far more stressful than life in the city. When most people think of stress that they experience, it's just bullshit that bosses and society puts in their heads. City dwellers can eat, drink, and sleep without worrying much about getting sick or dying (driving is hazardous, but that's about it; most other hazards are unlikely or take decades to harm you). In the wilderness, any wrong decision can and will kill you. It's like being in a constant war against nature and your own body just to survive. Nature is the mother of mankind, but she can take you out of this world as easily as she brought you in. A great test for someone who wants one. Definitely look for a mentor, but I advise looking for someone closer to the area you want to get lost in. Every wilderness is different, and native people had a lifetime of knowledge to draw on. Surviving in Montana is different than Utah which is different from your home turf. Most survivalist types don't have a big web presence, so you are better off checking out the places they might return to society. Stores that sell supplies they might need, hunting clubs, etc. Good luck with your journey. Hopefully, it leads you where you want to go, whether that's a full natural existence or a better appreciation for the beauty and horror of nature.

True or False
True, but not fried. Fried meat (or even most meat) does bad things to my toilet. TNP lifts.

True or False
False, I rarely eat bacon. Or any meat for that matter. TNP has played CN for over two years.

True or False
False, but cross-dressing is a requirement for membership to my alliance. TNP has been to a gay bar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTN6Du3MCgI

Crusader Kings 2
Sounds about right. I bought the game 6 or 5 months ago (during the banned times) and enjoyed it well enough. I always had issues with managing the family line. You're supposed to constantly marry off any non-heir with high intrigue into another kingdom. I usually missed somebody and they would start giant civil wars/stabbing their way to the top. Lots of unrest and the kingdom would fall apart. It got to where I'd never spend money so I could always buy mercenaries. Haven't played much, since I actually like Victoria 2 better. I don't know whether it's possible to do a grand Paradox game with the current games. It'd be awesome to go from the middle ages in CK to WW2 in Hearts of IRON.
