  1. The closest thing to this in my life was in a theatre trying to watch Avatar. Most horrible time of my life... but you may all wish to list the drugs you're taking and see which ones you have in common.
  2. It's my wife's day off so we just took a jacuzzi bath and drank two bottles of champaign mimosa's... I love the fuck out of you guys!
  3. I agree with everything on Foxy's list, including paragraph's and use of a space bar. If Europe could actually make a US of E work, it would balance the world power structure quite nicely. The U.S.A. can actually cut back on defense spending and share power with our European allies. I really like the idea.
  4. "What about her work as Secretary of State?" She never did the job. All she wanted was the title to add to her resume. There is not a single improved relationship on the planet because of Hillary Clinton. I will love hearing her try to embellish how important she was by saying things like, "I was in the room when..." I may hate everything John Kerry is doing as SoS, but at least he has taken the job seriously. I gotta give him that.
  5. Jacob... thank you so much for posting that video. Frightening to find out I should be living in Germany. I would fit right in.
  6. The last time she ran everyone loved her so much they voted for the first half-term Senator to step up a challenge. A 70 year old Socialist from Vermont is making her look so loved she has to rope off anyone that will ask a question. Wait until she is forced to face a real press grilling or a debate with a battle tested opponent. She'll lie four times in every sentence and think she can get away with it the same way she skated through her entire life... the wife of Bill Clinton... it's not a qualification.
  7. Nothing says American Capitalism more than everyone working and earning a living. Under the incompetence of Barack Obama, we now have about a hundred million people out of the workforce, and about 50 million people on foodstamps. Now we see what he meant about "making history". You seem to believe that because G.W. Bush took us to war after 9-11 that only Republicans get us into wars. The country demanded we go to war after 9-11, and if W didn't take us to war he would have faced a very angry US population. Republicans avoid war by creating the most powerful military and keeping other powers in check so they will not overstep. It's Democrats that take us to war my friend... World War I, Woodrow Wilson, Democrat. World War II, Franklin Roosevelt, Democrat. Korean War, Harry Truman, Democrat. Viet Nam, Lyndon Johnson, Democrat. That's a lot of war that could have been avoided with a strong military and early US intervention. If China takes care of China it does not bother me. China is attacking our economic infrastructure... we have to deal with it. Putin is doing what he's doing because he knows Obama is a pussy. We need to elect the biggest badass we can come up with to deal with these issues... and it's not Hillary Clinton.
  8. Looking at your list of goals... the only one that is running that would check all those boxes is Rand Paul. He's pretty much already lost because of some of those boxes. Hillary Clinton is a deceitful, frightened, and useless bag of gas, and the only people in her phone book are donors. I'm very happy you joined us here in IRON... I'm also very happy you won't be voting here in the USA.
  9. Apart from the fact that Greece takes loans all the time to cover its needs as a country,it's really not the case, and is under no circumstances as simple as one would think it is. I mean,it's not just about cutting back on expenditures! And Greeks don't get angry because it's time for them to pay the loan back! Unfortunately, the Media have presented the whole situation in a way,so that the Greeks eventually seem like the lazy people of Europe (while they are the most hard-working in Europe, just behind the Czechs) who are not willing to pay their loans back. I repeat, and I would like to stress that THIS Is NOT THE CASE,and one should come live in Greece in order to make safe conclusions about the situation here. This is coming from one that voted no? Must be, because if you voted yes I think you would be really pissed right now. You voted no, assuming the EU was bluffing and will buckle to the terms. I think you're wrong. Try running your socialist government without other people's money... things are about to get really bad when you thought it couldn't get any worse.
  10. Ask Samus. I have it on good authority that he has a Russian on his table right now. One good round of water-boarding and he'll tell you everything.
  11. This is a huge mess. A country with big entitlements and not enough cash to cover them, taking loan after loan to keep the money flowing to the unearning masses, unwilling to cut back to save their country, and then they get angry when it's time to pay the loan back. Sounds a lot like what will happen here in the U.S.A., ten-fold, if we don't do something to change the way things are being done.
  12. Watermelon? Really? That dude she's talking to... I want to see her crush his skull. Now that would get some hits.
  13. I think the Dude has it down to a science here, and how it all plays out is all in his comment. Agree 100%, including the Tywin part.
  14. There is no legislation. The Supreme Court cannot write law, only Congress and State Legislators can do that. States must issue license and treat all marriage equally... that is all. No one is required by law to participate. Does it force anyone to respect Adam and Steve? No. Does it force anyone to stop calling him Steve? and not Stephanie? No. Does it make Mom and Dad love Adam? No. Does it make Uncle Mark allow Steve to be alone with little Johnny? No.... like I said, it's a non-issue. A big so what.
  15. It wasn't an argument against gay marriage. It was joke about the reality of gay marriage. It took you more time to type that drivel than I spent thinking about this non-issue distraction. When the country is divided and fighting over this kind of bullshit, Democrats do better. That's why they spend so much time and effort keeping the country divided and fighting. I'm very happy the non-issue is off the table, and now these idiots can live with their choices. The fact is, either we elect a President that will change the current course of destruction we are on, or the Republic will die... if it hasn't already. I know many that believe it's already a lost cause, and we're on life support. I will then just prepare for the inevitable civil war that will begin as soon as we consolidate the wealth and let the leeches fight over their scraps. Stash as much cash as you can, and arm yourselves. Remember, the government is not some indestructable oasis that rains money... they are people just like you and me. They will not help you.
  16. Welcome to gay divorce... I can hear it already... "But Your Honor... I only did it to stick it to the church... it wasn't a "real" marriage... you can't give him half my money!"
  17. I thought this to be the true theory about Jon Snow. It makes sense because Ned just never struck me as the cheating on his wife type. He would take his promise to his dying sister to the grave, and to protect her son from certain death. I have known this theory for a long time, but I can't think of any way for it to come out now that everyone that knows about it has died, except maybe those 3 that were with Ned that survived the attack on the tower. It will be fun to see how it plays out. Edit: Another thing that supports this theory is that Melisandre took quite an interest in Jon Snow. She knows Kings Blood when she sees it.
  18. I'll have to watch the episode again for the 4th time to see this lightening of the eyes. I fast forward through Cersei's street scene... that's too long and painful to watch again. When I watched it the first time, for some reason, my 50" plasma was too dark to make out the words on the sign that the Nights Watch guys put up for their execution of Jon... I had to watch the extra "About The Eposode" thing where I was able to see that it said... "Traitor". May be time to buy a new television, my Pioneer has been good to me.
  19. Are you a book reader? There's a pretty solid fan theory that The Hound managed to survive. No, I have read no books. Anything I found out I got from Wiki sites, and that's only because I was curious about the fate of Syrio Forel and just could not stop reading. I "accidentally" read about the Red Wedding, the death of Oberyn, and how the Hound goes down this way. It was no fun knowing what would happen in the show... so I banned myself from searching further. I did read comments that talked about Jon Snow getting stabbed, but nothing about him getting killed. That's a surprise. If the Hound lived, I would have thought that Brienne and Podrick would have found and helped him after the fight. This was not the case. I find it hard to believe that Arya would go down there and have an entire conversation with him, but the knightly Brienne and the wannabe knightly Podrick would just leave without at least giving him a decent burial. He was afterall, a Kingsguard.
  20. I was just as surprised as everybody else. He has talked about running for decades, but no one thought he was serious enough to take a chance at losing. Trump will not be patient enough to earn trust. He will burn everyone to the ground to win. The best thing that can happen is to let him piss off enough people that he can't stay in the top ten, and maybe he'll pull out because he can't get his way. Donald Trump may well be the President we need most. Someone that gets things done rather than give lip service and enrich their friends. But I don't think he will do well with the getting elected part, and my fear is he will destroy everyone else that is running for the job on his way down. This is what can really hurt us Republicans. I feel Ross Perot all over again... but this time on steroids. Oh yeah I almost forgot the second part... yes, if Hillary's mouth is moving, she's lying.
  21. Oberyn had poison on his spear blades. The Mountain was taken up to Qyburn's lab where he would die until Cercei gave him permission to keep him alive using his "unsanctioned" skills. Qyburn warned her that the process would change him. She then asked if it would weaken him, and Qyburn replied rather sarcastically... "oh... no". The creature is Gregor Clegane. Too bad, I liked his brother and would have preferred him to live.
  22. That makes sense. I have not heard a thing about Umber since Robb's wolf took a couple fingers off his hand in season one. Bolton seems to have a stranglehold on the north, so if Osha felt it wasn't safe, she would take him to a place where Wildlings know the ground and southerners are afraid to go. Davos could have found out that Rickon is alive out there from Jon and Sam, and could be looking for Rickon in season 6. I do know that in the book, Jon is not killed because of Wildlings, but because he plans to take the Nights Watch to Winterfell to defeat Bolton. In the book, Sansa is not at Winterfell... she's still in the Vale with Baelish, and Ramsay marries a girl named Jayne Poole under the belief she is Arya Stark. In the book, Brienne does not kill Stannis, Shireen is still at Castle Black with her mother and Melisandre, Myrcella and Trystane Martell are not sent to Kings Landing... they stay in Dorne and nobody is poisoned. This page is a wealth of information... http://www.ign.com/wikis/game-of-thrones/Mothers_Mercy_Differences?utm_campaign=ign+main+twitter&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social
  23. Nice summary/opinions here. Cersei still looked fucking hot with her hair cut and them titties tho.. That religion woman that came to her everyday is dead, dead dead. I didn't understand who that tall knight that carried her away was though? I think Theon & Sansa are alive and unarmed, Sansa looked pretty confident jumping without any hestitation, so they know what they were doing. Also what the hell happened to Bran & Rickon? Not a peep from them this season, cliffhanger still remains from season 4. Anyone who read the 5th book, are they involved at all? The huge knight is what remains of Ser Gregor Clegane... The Mountain. Qyburn "changed" him. I knew Bran was out of season 5 before it began. I'm pretty positive he will become the new worg master. Rickon and Osha were last seen on their way to Umber castle, bannermen of the Stark's. I would say he's there in hiding.
  24. That was the single most depressing episode ever. I really love to hate Cersei, but even that was over the top. Pity the fools who left her alive after doing that to her. Arya is in a pickle... she wants so badly to become an assassin elite to avenge her family, but the guy she trusted to teach her is a religious zealot with a code. Now she's blind? Arya is my favorite character in the show, and she's in a bad way now. Jon's death is a surprise. Now the Nights Watch is on their own and will probably kill the Wildlings. Stannis is done... burned Shireen, Selyse hung herself, and I knew she would after that burning scene... and Brienne always swore to kill Stannis. He's dead. Best thing that happened was Theon finally grew back a nut sack and killed that bitch Myranda. That was a high fall... but who knows, they grew up together, so they may have jumped into the snow powder hundereds of times as children. Dany is back with the Dothraki and knows them. They will have a new Khal, and they will know each other. I feel a new alliance forming after the dust settles. Tyrion and Varys always have the best scenes and this one did not disappoint. They will work well together. The looming absence of Petyr Baelish tells me he returned to the Vale, and patiently waits for everyone to kill everyone else. He will have the only army left in Westeros and can then sieze power. We shall see...
  25. During a recent trip to California, our daughter Jenn and her longtime boyfriend John went with us. John is a huge fan of the books and was complaining that the show was making him so mad because it's going way off the books. Now that I understand that the show has past up the books, I started looking into more about the characters, what they do, and what becomes of them. Yeah, there are many things that are not in the books, and many that are just made up out of thin air. One glaring difference is the flaming gay relationship of Renly and Loris. In the show, Loris is actually a composite of three Tyrell brothers, and the whole gay thing is thrown in for the advancement of this media agenda to rub everyone's face in it. It's the only thing in the show that I would rather not have been included.
