I'm jealous... I lost all my vinyl in the early 90's from theft... switched everything over to CD. I still have tons of cassette tapes, but nothing to play them on, and they're so old they would probably fail anyway. Another lost art from the internet. It destroyed the music business... along with shopping malls, travel agents, and newspapers. I used to spend hours in Tower Records. Next to go will be movie theaters. I have SiriusXM now, and that's good enough for our road trips. Music: People just stream music now, there's still money in it. Shopping mall: All of the females in my life prefer going to the mall and spending HOURS UPON HOURS trying on things they most likely don't end up buying, so it still has its place Travel agents: true.. but I know my mum still prefers to go to her travel agent than buy tickets online Newspapers: come over to London some day and try the London underground? loooool at every station, there's people in newspaper kiosks trying to shove their media up your nose

Well if that is what makes you feel better, than whatever floats your boat. But I have to point out this is where the naivety of control gun comes into play. Just because you live in a country with strict gun laws, doesn't mean people actually choose to follow them. Its just makes it a tiny bit more inconvenient for criminals to acquire firearms, while at the same time severely depriving the law abiding citizen from seeking adequate protection. For me, I live in a nice, quiet suburban neighborhood. The majority of my neighbors are very friendly and seem like genially caring individuals. Found out 2 years ago that my neighbor several houses down does cocaine, and the police show up to his house quite often for domestic issues. I've met him, his wife, and his three kids at a party my next door neighbor was hosting. Quite honestly they were some of the nicest, friendliest people I met in years, and never gave a single indication the father was heavily into drugs and spent them majority of his time (literally put his home based business on hold for about 6 months so he could do cocaine all night and then sleep during the day) with other drug users. I never would have known any of it unless a neighbor chose to disclose that information. You don't know if the person living next to you is a pedophile yet to be convicted. You don't know if the person living next to you is a drug dealer yet to be convicted. You don't know if the person living next to you is an abuser yet to be convicted. You don't know if the person living next to you is a robber yet to be convicted. You don't know if the person living next to you has a box of explosives in their basement yet to be convicted. You don't know if the person living next to you is a murderer yet to be convicted. Choose to take it however you want, but hearing the government tell me, "Firearms are illegal/highly restricted, so therefore no criminals have them". Wouldn't make me believe that devious people don't have them. Didn't want this thread to become one of those ones.. But to reply to you, you're basically saying you always have to have a "ready" mind as you never know what danger is around the corner from you.

I want to know why you own and or collect your firearms? I'm sure everyone has their own different reasons, protection, collection hobby, antiques, investments, doomsday scenarios etc I know DM has a large collection but i've been playing some zombie apolcalypse games and the question just hit me, so i'm really just curious what everyone's reasons are. Fascinate me!

Crow feet, my career depends upon my hands mostly Bread & Water, need that tongue at 100% effeciency for you know what Hut won't be too bad, 2 weeks is easier to countdown than 2 months. Plus there's unknown amounts of dangers in the desert, plus the lack of water Keep these coming!!

I did achieve my New Years Resolution. I actually achieved it 4 times over this year, soon to be 5 times in a couple days. I'm sorry, but I won't be sharing pictures. The exact number and the contents of my armory are classified. I do however from time to time discuss individual firearms I own in regards to a specific conversation or when someone is asking for recommendations. again, does each firearm you buy supply exponential power to your master firearm
