Texas Justice II - GAME OVER!

Endgame - CLICK ME

TEXAS JUSTICE II

During the night, you hear a shot echoing from the town hall. Each townsperson alerts the other, and slowly a small crowd of people, each carrying a rifle, run to the hall. Slowly, carefully, you search the hall. Entering the Mayor's office, you see Mole Stargazer shot dead, his blood leaking all over his desk. Clutched in his hand is a note, written in a hurried scrawl.

"People!

The town is not safe! The mafia are about to kill me, I've not given them money.

Find them! Shoot them! Hur

The note trails off into a scribble, adorned with blood. Looking around with a shudder, you realise there are Mafia amongst you. The doors are slammed shut, and the rifles are readied - but you're willing to try discussion first.

I don't want to kill vgm just yet. She's on the hotlist of mafia because she's experienced and puts pressure on people. I think losing her this early would compromise any benefit we would get if she were a townie. If she is scum, we should vote her to be the Shooter so she'd lose her bullet and not be able to kill. Much better for suspected scum right? Why kill suspected ones right away when they can just fire their only bullet which would render them incapacitated?

I don't know why, but I get the feeling Mango enjoys killing me early. I feel like Ovidius >_> (how's that for an old player reference? :P).

About the both scum comment, I already explained about the math and several others have backed me up on that saying that 2 scum is indeed the most likely. Both may not have been the correct word to use, but yet, I feel it still applies in this situation. For me being suspicious on you Mango, all I said was that your comment of not knowing how the town wins rubbed me the wrong way. (post #22 under win conditions for reference). However, you are trying to come up with a way for the town to win (or so it appears that way). All I did was point out potential flaws. It's better to know the weaknesses in a plan then to assume it's all strong and follow blindly.

And you know what. While I won't act obviously as I want people to get their thoughts in, I could see you as being scum Mango. You suggesting that I should be the first to die is interesting. But I look at it this way. While I'm not in disagreement with your plan or Narsis's or Kevin's for that matter, I'm not following like a blind sheep either. I'm trying to raise objections so our plan becomes stronger and not just filled out with random names or whatever. And call me crazy, but the people who are saying that (I agree with whoever) would appear more scummy on my radar in all honesty. Anybody can say that they agree with such and such and try to play it safe as they can, but it takes somebody to voice her opinion, whether for or against a plan. If that gets them killed, so be it, but it's better then saying yes to everything. Saying yes to everything is what scum either want or want to do (depending on which side of the coin they're on). If your scum and the sheep follow you, you can get through with little to no problems for at least a while. But if somebody raises their hand and speaks up, the scum start to sweat. And I think that if I die and your scum, the sheep will follow into your hands, just so you can herd them up and watch them kill each other one by one.

I don't know. I just find it funny how I'm the only one pointing the stuff like this out and the first to possibly be on the chopping block.

1st of all, great post vgm! I enjoyed reading it because I felt like it was really coming from the heart.

Now, onto the substance of your message. I agree with you in surmising that there are indeed only two scum in this game. I do not fault you for what you typed. When I posted my thoughts on you that was the last thing mentioned and I only did it because I was stacking up my case against you. I enjoyed reading your comments about not following like blind sheep and not being afraid to stand up. I play the game the same way. We both also tend to play aggressive to foster conversation and put on the pressure. That is why I proposed we kill you first.

After reading your response I am happy to say that I almost all but mostly assured that you are indeed pro-town. You're responses to everything seem believable and from the heart. I no longer wish for you to be killed or to be the shooter. As to whom our guilty party's are is something that still remains a mystery. I agree with what you said about the ones who are more guilty are the ones who just gave a simple "I agree" and did nothing else. I had thought that possible before and you validated it.

I hope we get some more meaty posts like this in the future.

I don't get this.

If you are gonna kill a scum...kill them sooner rather than later.

If a scum thinks they are gonna die...they'll fire off a shot first before getting shot.

Sure a townie dies but at least a scum also DIES.

The only way you know if the shooter is scum is if he is the next to die.

Yeah, am definatly in agreement with Narsis' plan, like every one else lol, so who shall be the first victim, and who shall shoot????

So we just voting for the people to shoot off now?

This kind of goes with what I was saying earlier. The blind sheep statement without much else discussion. If your going to follow fine, but it just lacks that substance for why he is for (or not against) the idea. And of course, without the reasoning, it could just be scum trying to play safe, as I also mentioned earlier. Now, you might be saying, wait a second vgm, he's just a new guy. Maybe so, but that doesn't mean he can't say what's on his mind. I still remember my first game, and while it did get me killed, at I least I spoke my mind. Some other players also fit that bill.

The other thing that bothers me (and it may just be the way I'm reading his posts), is that he seems anxious to kill people / have them killed. Just screams "red flag" in my book.

Yes kill scum sooner than later. But only if you're sure the person is scum. If not, I thought it was better if we err on the side that vgm is a townie. I assume once dead, a person cannot post anymore right? Then we'd lose a valuable voice.

Correct, once you're dead, you can't post again save one "Bah!" post which CANNOT contain any information relevant to the game.

Ok, im not sure whats on my mind, still trying to make it up, i am in agreement with the voting plan as it seems to be the most logical and fairly balanced democratic way to play this game, and i am a person of few words, short and sweet.

Also I am just trying to get the game going. I do think, but don't post it.

Please don't edit your posts.

Remember that this is a modkillable offense.

That's just the thing. Thoughts help the town. You want to post what you think. Thinking is good. Posting is good. Resistance is futile.

Ok...got carried away so maybe not the last part (I can't help but think that sounds familiar from somewhere).

But yeah, the only people who don't always want to post what they think are scum.

I wish I could talk with people outside the game thread...

Ring any bells?

Posting ones thoughts is definitely for the good of the town. I find it very beneficial to read as much as I can so that I can more accurately judge the alignment of a character. It's good that you think about the game and form opinions but it is also important for the town to people to form opinions about you and the best way to do that is if you spill your guts. Unless you are scum of course then you may want to play a little closer to the vest, you're not scum are you? A lot of times it's hard to write more than just a few lines. Maybe everyone else already said what you wanted to say or there's not much else to talk about. I would encourage you to at least find a few posts that interest you and respond with your thoughts, even if they've already been said. Also tell us why you think that way. If you are town you must do everything you can to earn our trust. If we have a good core group of people that are believed townie it will be easier to start finding the scum.

My thoughts on everyone so far.

CD, Kevin, Aquinas, and Sir Jesus - have not heard much from them, like before someone said, so points that one of them could be scum, or two of them?

Narsis, VGM, Falzis and EM - active, i dunno there is something in the way that you speak or post that makes me believe you are not scum, but i don't think that you are.

And me - just awesome.

I don't want Kevin to die. He's one of the few that we can trust.

Uhhhh ...... what? Where did that come from, why did you post that? Seriously, how can you trust Kevin? Why do you particularly care about him staying alive?

This post seems to stand out like block letters in the Constitution, it just seems illogical to post unless you have a vested interest in Kevin staying alive (as in, you're both scum).

Also EM, you assume that anyone that does not support a specified plan is anti-town. I find this ridiculous since these suggested plans have awful fallacies that could, as vgm put it, allow scum to shepherd us toward our death.

I definitely appreciate the putting forth of a target/discussion-piece (vgm) as it allows for conversation, but I do feel like you may have pressed hard for her death. Once you realized nobody was going to blast her, you post about how she is almost certainly pro-town.

Something just seems fishy, EM...

the only real fallacies to the plan are those like in a normal game. allow scum to drive who the town lynches and the town will lose. it's the same thing here.

but i would like to hear these "awful fallacies" of yours...
