CD - thanks for the scenarios. I kinda get how the janitor is powerful now, and agree it's not worth doing.

 

That narrows it down to Bus Driver/Role blocker then for the third. I'll also take a page from EM here and lock in my vote on the first two now:

Also, since CD has a good analysis of what roles mafia would have given the town and we probably have a bulletproof - can the roleblocker block bulletproof? Vengeful explicitly says "Cannot be roleblocked", but bulletproof doesnt say anything like that. If every town role is meant to have a corresponding mafia weakness, it'd make sense for bulletproof's weakness to be the roleblocker. If that's the case, then I REALLY am unsure about giving them the means to get around our one invulnerable guy... thoughts?

I'm betting that a couple of mafia are in that mix.

I also take it as a passive ability as well but what really counts is how the MOD determines it.

If there is a cop, we need to be cautious about relying on the results since there are now known godfather and ninja roles.

I like to play "follow the cop", but I think this time I have to reconsider.

 

That said, if the cop roleclaims or is revealed, then those that pushed for the godfather and ninja roles will be a bit more suspicious to me.

If we do have a detective...he can still be of some use.

He should still see the 4-shot roleblocker, goon, and Godfather if they do something at night.

Also he might be able to figure out other townies with power roles.

I'm contemplating the usefulness of a possible 1st day no-lynch vote in this game. I think we should wait and just see who dies to get some sort of clue.

I was going for the 'everything has a counter' idea, but that could be too - getting into action vs passive is a little over my head at the moment :-p

 

And now I guess the flurry of accusations begins? Also - when I read about the last game, everything started with sortof a flavor/npc event to get the ball rolling; I guess that's not happening this time.

Ehh... yeah, I'll wait a day or so to learn how this works before putting in a vote (there's no sudden death like with the mafia roles is there?)

I would normally be inclined to no-lynch. Four mafia and eleven townies make the odds pretty good that we'll lynch a townie.

 

Unfortunately, it will be worse tomorrow after the probable night-kill and assuming there is not a cop, we won't have much more information than we have now.

He typically goes on a rant about no lynching, clearly his change in strategy is out of character and he is corrupted... Otherwise I'd vote an inactive. So far no one strikes me as suspicious. There are people from previous games such as Nerau, Kasabian who are often silent and its hard to tell whether they are mafia or not.

I always act in the best interest of the town.
