Your roleclaim post seems very detailed as it is. I had assumed you already paraphrased it. So what else needs paraphrasing?

ACK + ccabal are clearly against me and I put my vote on EM. With TC being the known townie...the only possible mafia combos are...

Put that way... yeah, that DOES rather firmly draw the lines, doesn't it. I think that last game we only had 2 scum to ferret out instead of 3 at about this point; splitting halves certainly simplifies things.

I think you've pretty much sold me - ACK is scum, and by extension I guess the other two must be. Only thing left to do is lynch 'em.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but what I did is not paraphrasing. Paraphrasing means you take the WHOLE PM and re-word the scentances, which is not what I did.

You and EM are scum, not sure who the third one is. You saw the only confirmed townie voting for EM, and you saw the opportunity to piggyback on his vote. By killing EM, you hope to remove the the considerable amount of suspicion from yourself.

I was inclined to lynch you yesterday, lucky for you CaoCao went inactive and we lynched him instead. But what really sealed the deal for me today was the immediate rejection of my based only on "supermarkets don't have restrooms", even though the role PM clearly states it's small and unisex. And the whole propagation of "Look at me, I' voting with a known townie" was just icing on the cake.

TC is a known townie, even though he hasn't explained why he voted for EM (though some info on that would be useful), and you somehow managed to persuade Preston (though for all we know he may be your scum buddy).
But here's the kick: You were in a tough spot, with a high chance of being lynched today. Also, EM may be inactive for a long time, he might not even make it back before the game ends, but certainly not before the end of the day. Which would mean that with you being lynched today, only 1 active mafia member will remain, and if we happen to lynch him tomorrow, the town wins. But even if EM returns later, he will have missed your lynch and will have failed to reap the "townie points" you speak of.

So instead you took a risk, and will try to sacrifice your inactive mate, by jumping on a known townie's bandwagon, but in the end you'll have 2 active mafia instead of 1 active and 1 inactive.

And you twist my words. I never said supermarkets don't have restrooms. I said I questioned "Restroom Attendent" in a supermarket. I don't know about you but I've never come across a "Restroom Attendent" in a supermarket in my lifetime.

There's a LOT of accusations being thrown around all of a sudden between you two, CD/ccabal; but then it's scum's win-or-lose day, since with all 3 of them left and 7 of us alive (6 if you exclude TC), we're cutting the town into halves to find the scum.

* AKCPLUTO is all but confirmed scum, hence my FOS on him - that conflict with TC's role has pretty much caught him, since he didnt wait to see if TC's role was named differently from last game.
* EM we havent heard from much today, but he did push for cao cao on day 2. Perhaps more telling, he now has THREE votes on him - one from TC - and scum havent jumped on him to finish the day and win the game for themselves. I believed this concept less when it was a matter of there only being ONE vote, but three... it'd take a single scum to end it if EM were town.

With these two basically confirmed, we have some breathing room to pick the final scum from those that remain - and at present, ccabal is looking pretty dirty.

That's a good theory... though for some reason your saying it aloud makes me think WIFOM, which makes me want to doublecheck.

If scum nightkills someone OTHER than ccabal, is there any scenario in which ccabal could still be town? His role is thin and unlikely to be real, but last game there was this insomniac... yeah.

We can't really test him by specifying "protect X" because scum will kill someone else. We cant tell him to "lock up X" (to prevent scum nightkill a la roleblocker) because if scum are set up like last game with anyone able to do their kill, they'll have someone else do it. If he's scum and not nightkilled and someone dies tonight, he'd claim he protected someone else. If he's town and not nightkilled and someone else dies tonight - he'd say the exact same thing.

Right now there's 4 town and 3 scum; if ccabal somehow IS town, he'd have 1/3 odds of protecting the right person other than himself if scum chose to leave him alive tonight. They might take those odds (1/3 chance their kill would be blocked) to try and set him up for lynch tomorrow.

RoT posted on the 14th, and EM posted on the 13th. Maybe people are just having busy weekends.

Eh. After that last post I'm going back over the thread and debating to myself about alternate scenarios, specifically involving ccabal vs RoT - that lack of info from him is messing with me. I want to hear from him without the day abruptly ending like it did on day 1 (I cannot express how annoyed I was that the day ended before I got home from work!!), so I'm going to unvote for the moment. We have until the 23rd and the scum cant swing a majority on their own anyway, so this won't endanger the day's lynch since we've zeroed in pretty concretely on EM. I'll be glad to provide the hammer when we get our third vote.

There's a reason why I don't believe ccabal86 roleclaim. His role is way too powerful. It's a roleblocker/bodyguard all rolled into one. Besides...KevinH role was the bodyguard. I sincerely doubt there would be 2 similar roles in the game.

There are actually serious downsides to this role when you think about it. While it may sound great at first hearing, it also blocks townie roles, furthermore it blocks the ability of the person you want to protect. If used at the wrong time, it can waste an ability altogether. It could have wasted the Security Guard and it could have Wasted the Dedicated Employee. Besides, we don't know how powerful mafia roles are.

Hell, if I was mafia I could have picked the easy way out and said "Vanilla Townie" - like you did.

As for never seeing a restroom attendant in a supermarket - you're right, it's usually some sort of generic janitor that does the cleaning (bathroom included), but "Janitor" is a mafia role, so mole couldn't have used that for a townie. Besides, Given the not-so-serious setup of the game (I mean, why the hell would a real mafia choose to invade a damn supermarket), I don't think mole ran a detailed business plan to see wether employing a "restroom attendant" was financially worth it.

It's LYLO, now is the time to be vocal. But I always voiced my concerns, it's not like I was lurking or anything. And yes, I did vote for d3mon, like almost everyone else, but you were one of the people leading the charge.

That is part (potentially blocking fellow townies) of the peril for a townie roleblocker . Still doesn't change the fact that "your role" has basically 2 abilities. And you also suggest that mafia has even more powerful abilities? Mafia has the biggest advantage of all and that's information.

Nerau - wareshouse worker...one use roleblocker.
CaoCao - shoplifter...probably to confuse the security guard.
KevinH - dedicated employee...one use martyr.

Preston - OCD restocker...probably to confuse the security guard.

Preston role even fits the supermarket them where AKC and cc do not. Not to mention that cc role duplicates both Nerau and KevinH abilities.
