TMCWPTI #2 - Game Thread

Reading back: where are EM and RoT anyway?

RoT posted on the 14th, and EM posted on the 13th. Maybe people are just having busy weekends.

Eh. After that last post I'm going back over the thread and debating to myself about alternate scenarios, specifically involving ccabal vs RoT - that lack of info from him is messing with me. I want to hear from him without the day abruptly ending like it did on day 1 (I cannot express how annoyed I was that the day ended before I got home from work!!), so I'm going to unvote for the moment. We have until the 23rd and the scum cant swing a majority on their own anyway, so this won't endanger the day's lynch since we've zeroed in pretty concretely on EM. I'll be glad to provide the hammer when we get our third vote.

Unvote

There's a reason why I don't believe ccabal86 roleclaim. His role is way too powerful. It's a roleblocker/bodyguard all rolled into one. Besides...KevinH role was the bodyguard. I sincerely doubt there would be 2 similar roles in the game.

There are actually serious downsides to this role when you think about it. While it may sound great at first hearing, it also blocks townie roles, furthermore it blocks the ability of the person you want to protect. If used at the wrong time, it can waste an ability altogether. It could have wasted the Security Guard and it could have Wasted the Dedicated Employee. Besides, we don't know how powerful mafia roles are.

Hell, if I was mafia I could have picked the easy way out and said "Vanilla Townie" - like you did.

As for never seeing a restroom attendant in a supermarket - you're right, it's usually some sort of generic janitor that does the cleaning (bathroom included), but "Janitor" is a mafia role, so mole couldn't have used that for a townie. Besides, Given the not-so-serious setup of the game (I mean, why the hell would a real mafia choose to invade a damn supermarket), I don't think mole ran a detailed business plan to see wether employing a "restroom attendant" was financially worth it.

But where were you on D1 or D2? Only now have you've been so vocal. You also voted d3mon too.

It's LYLO, now is the time to be vocal. But I always voiced my concerns, it's not like I was lurking or anything. And yes, I did vote for d3mon, like almost everyone else, but you were one of the people leading the charge.

That is part (potentially blocking fellow townies) of the peril for a townie roleblocker . Still doesn't change the fact that "your role" has basically 2 abilities. And you also suggest that mafia has even more powerful abilities? Mafia has the biggest advantage of all and that's information.

Townie roles...

D3mon - security guard...one use.

Nerau - wareshouse worker...one use roleblocker.

CaoCao - shoplifter...probably to confuse the security guard.

KevinH - dedicated employee...one use martyr.

Preston - OCD restocker...probably to confuse the security guard.

Preston role even fits the supermarket them where AKC and cc do not. Not to mention that cc role duplicates both Nerau and KevinH abilities.

Forgot to add...

TC - ex-lifeguard...one use reviver.

VOTE COUNT

CanucksDynasty (2): AKCPLUTO, ccabal86

Electric Mango (2): TerrorChrist, CanucksDynasty

Not Voting (3): Electric Mango, reign of terror, Preston

With 7 Alive, 4 is needed to lynch.

Dude, it's block AND protect at the same time and on the same person. It may protect someone, but will also block any abilities that person may be using. It may block someone from using an ability, but will also protect that person for the night, even from "movement" the security guard may otherwise detect.

There is a downside if you use it on Mafia and a downside if you use it on Townies. Why the hell do you think I waited this long to use it?

I am still active! Just thinking about who is more scummy between ccabal86, CD, and AKC. If EM is not going to defend himself then let's lynch him since he is the most scummy in my mind at least.

And that's what I'm getting at. You have a role that can do both (block AND protect). That's just way too powerful for a townie to have in a game like this.

I have a question mark over ccabal86's head right now. Not a FOS, but pretty close.

Yes, but whatever you're doing, it's worse than a plain bodyguard or roleblocker as the other effect is applied too. While it is multi-pupouse, it has a high chance of backfiring.

How does it have a high chance of backfiring?

Can everybody run through which three people they think is mafia and why? That way we can see who is the most scummy in everybody's opinion.

AKC - bad roleclaim name differs from TC as being "ex" lifeguard. He voted for me and I still haven't been lynched. Since I'm townie then he must be mafia.

EM - at one point he had 3 votes (TC, CD, Pres) and still wasn't lynched. All it would take is for 1 vote for mafia to make to win the game. Unless you believe all 3 voters to be mafia.

Ccabal86 - vocally starts to attack me and places a 2nd vote on me after I had placed the 2nd vote on EM. His role has dual purposes and does the same job as Nerau and KevinH. Too powerful in my opinion.

To me, CD is the only confirmable scum due to the aforementioned reasoning which has been repeated ad infinitum, whereas I obviously have question marks to a lesser degree on EM and ccabal86.

Let me get this straight. You think EM, ccabal86 and me are all mafia? That's funny.

Did I say that I thought that the other two are mafia? I said that I have my doubts. Stop twisting my words. This is further evidence of you being scum.

And you're avoiding RoT question of which 3 do you think are mafia and why.

I am not experienced enough to be able to figure out which exact three people are Mafia right here. I am confident enough to vote for you, but not much more.

Then can you at least share why you have question marks on EM and ccabal86?

If it's a tie between myself and EM, then EM should be lynched since he got to 2 votes first. If we both get 3 votes...then whomever got 3 votes first will be lynched.

How does it have a high chance of backfiring?

Stop pretending like you don't understand. You should use a protective role on a townie. You should use a roleblocker on a mafia. Whatever you pick, the other "role" will be applied as well. eg, you will also "protect" a mafia and you will also "roleblock" a townie.

My suspects:

CD: See before.

EM: He managed to stay under the radar this whole game. Voted for 2 townies who were consequently lynched

??: Not quite sure about the third person, I don't really have a strong opinion on the rest. Preston was a little too easily convinced by CD's arguments. AKC and CD have been gunning for eachother for quite a while now, so it's not TOO likely they're on the same team. RoT seems to lay low recently.

@ccabal86 - and again your role duplicates that of Nerau and KevinH...which I find extremely hard to believe.

While there is still time...please paraphrase your role. You can do that right?

The supermarket's only unisex bathroom is my territory - I have the bathroom key and gloatingly lord over those who need it. The door is also very strong...

This is a 1-shot ability which may be used during the night. I may choose a player who I wish to lock in the bathroom. Any moves during the night done by the player, or targetting that player will not be successful. [One last detail goes here that I don't want to reveal].
