OK, time for a bit of a role-claim to make things more interesting.

I'm a townie. Trust me on this.

On the first night, I had a single use tracker and used it on Electric Mango. That was one of his "probes". I got no result so that's why I feel he's probably townie.

Also the first night, I was messaged by the mod to choose someone to die or someone would be chosen randomly. I chose JohnGato.

I hinted at these actions in a few of my previous posts.

I wonder if something similar happened last night. Reign of Terror would not have been a good target for scum. Their best course of action would be to kill an active townie, not an inactive one.

So does this mean the vigilante theory is out the window? Because if you were the one that killed JohnGato, then that means there wasn't a vigilante kill, just you're kill. And this brings up another theory. Maybe since we're all crazy, the mod randomly picks one person to "go crazy" and kill someone else. That would be pretty interesting. Has anyone else been told by the mod to choose someone to kill?

Alternate_Tree is warned for posting a private message.

Interesting. Did you target anyone?

I said myself because I would rather not go guessing around

Can these three posts be explained without us breaking the rules? If you're unsure: Is that possible MOD?

...especially one with all that voting baggage.

About Electric Mango could he still be a scum that doesn't carry out the killing?
Could you not detect the other probes that probed him?

Good point. If this is happening, it would explain our situation enough for me to drop that theory. Makes everyone a vigilante. Yikes.

On an unrelated note, do we think we got a scum in blue text or not?

The flavor of the message to choose someone to die was that I was crazy.

I crazy, but I think the blue text means something.

Ok so I will explain what happened to me last night. I am the cop, the specific role was Anterograde Amnesiac Cop. That disorder makes my character unable to form new memories and I write what I find out on slips of paper. I forget where I put said slips of paper each day and so I do not know the results of my investigations, but when I die all the slips of paper are found during the investigation of my death and so all the results are revealed.

Last night I investigated KevinH, him being one of the most active players, and I received, by mistake, a message saying I had waken up in a barn with a gun with the uncontrollable urge to kill someone. I thought to kill myself so that we could shed some light on people's roles by having my results out in the open. I don't know if this indicates that the mafia pick someone to hand a gun and then they make the kill, or something else, but that is what happened.

I also would suggest that if we actually are going to lynch someone today it should be me because it will give information on some of the more active people in the game and hopefully give some concrete evidence into voting choices.

So in this game the cop is better off dead than alive? Interesting. I am leaning towards voting for you than but will hold for now.

You said you got the message by mistake. Are you saying the Mod gave you a message that was meant to be for someone?

Dunno, he just said he made a mistake writing that, so that could mean it was meant for someone else or it's something that will trigger from investigating the wrong person. I honestly don't know

This is crazy! So you are saying we have the ability to kill someone we suspect as scum? If this is the case maybe we need to come to a consensus who we need to kill if this happens to us. I have not been approached.

As for strategizing, my thoughts.

If you have to kill, choose an inactive or somebody that had a bunch of votes on them. We can then use voting patterns either for or against scum.

I do not think we should lynch the cop to get results yet. I think we should keep him alive for a few more nights and then lynch if the scum haven't night killed him yet. Don't reveal the other investigation targets because that will give the scum a target list; revealing that somebody is townie does nothing if the scum have already killed them. Sway us away from lynching somebody who's been investigated, though.

Since we do have a cop, there is probably a scum faction. However, I'm perplexed about how the scum are supposed to win. I am convinced Reign of Terror was killed by a townie's forced choice and not a scum's deliberate choice.

We might even consider no-lynching again. The longer the game goes, the more investigations that can occur.

I can confirm that this is happening.

Last night I got a similar message and I choose RoT because he indicated that his role would become more useful after his death. The fact that there were no other night kills is really interesting.
Imho, the inability of scum to choose their night kill makes them very weak and thus it is likely that one important scum role is inactive.

Vote:ABigDeer

Cuz, I believe he is the inactive scum.

I believe AT's role claim and would like him to do more investigations. Then, just as Obi Won Kenobi, if we strike him down, he will become more powerful than we can possibly imagine.

I'll go on the record for believing Alternate_Tree. I don't think he's been vocal or assertive enough thus far to be scum. If he is a scum and just lurking (and I wouldn't say he has been), then I don't think he's not doing much harm either. We've really only been shooting ourselves in the foot so far by my estimates.

I don't think we can jump to the conclusion that the scum can't make night kills, but something could be off there.

I think I'm gonna buy his role claim. Surely even if he's lying he still put up a lot of work into that statement. But I'm gonna keep my vote on him for now. No harm in that.

There are competing strategies here.

1. We need voting patterns to work with after we get the big reveal.
2. There's no point lynching when scum aren't necessarily getting a night kill.

Well, assuming we get alternate tree's info and we believe it, I think we'd have a lot of info to work with already.

Is it a good idea to get alternate tree's info now before he dies and go from that? Even if it just confirms townies?
