Let's not kill our cop. We're in no danger of losing the game today so let's keep him alive so he can continue his investigations. Why know the identity of 3 people when we can know 4, 5, or even more.

OOC: Hello all, glad to join your game here.

IC: So what's it looking like for a vote tonight. Haven't seen any real definitive suspects to lynch looking through all of what has transpired. Are we continuing to vote no-lynch?

As of yet we have no real evidence of anyone being a scum and so it will probably end in a no-lynch tonight. I was under the most suspicion at the beginning of the day and so I role-claimed as the cop, but with amnesia so that the results are made public on my death. One option for lynching is to kill me and get the information out on the 3 people I have investigated the past three "nights", but the other side, that seems to be the public opinion, is to not lynch me and let me get more info since there are still 12 people left with only one death a night for the last couple nights.

That's the basics for voting at this point.

I would tend to agree that with the number of people still alive keeping the cop around at least another couple nights would be quite beneficial. Especially because if we end up being forced to kill someone in the night as it appears is occurring we can always just use that to kill you and get the notes if we have no other good alternative. Or just kill inactives, that always works too. :bandwagon:

If you are picked to kill somebody, then choose the inactives.

Alternate_Tree, try to avoid investigating inactives since they will most likely be night-killed.

I find it amusing that I get more no-lynch votes late in the game than on day 1 when it always makes sense!

I just tend to believe that if we aren't in any real danger since they can't consistantl kill us insane people, might as well just use the cop to discover who is who. Well kill the cop and discover i should say. Pretty interesting role there, makes it so nobody really would want to kill you until later in the game......

hmm...that role would be a pretty good scum trick to make us keep him until too late into the game to do anything about it. I'm not accusing Alternate of this cuz i bet there is a cop, and if he wasn't it someone else would've counter claimed. but still, it's pretty interesting to think about

Your right, if the cop was around they probably would have role claimed by now. Unless its one of those dudes whos still inactive.... but I doubt alternate would role claim a cop and pray it was one of the inactives.... easy way to get lynched if hes wrong.

Thanks for clarifying Karl and Alternate_Tree. I thought you knew now and we would all know when you died.

I agree lynching the cop is a bad idea. It wouldn't give us enough information. Although I disagree that we should wait until their are four people. Although that might be optimal numbers wise, I think we can make inferences and see how things go earlier rather than taking the risk of going down to four. Especially when voting would be so lopsided at that point anyway. We'd be better off trying to wait until we are closer at least to a majority of the players investigated, but getting down to four seems risky and difficult if we haven't already lynched a scum.

Further, I don't want to lynch solely based on inactivity. Yesterday I voted based on skepticism over Alternate_Tree's amnesia, but considering his rolclaim and explanation I retract that suspicion.

Therefore VOTE: No Lynch.

With a cop claim we're sure to at least put the scum on their heels a bit, lets see how this plays out.

What will be interesting going forward is how our votes are affected by who Alternate_Tree votes for, FOSs and targets...

Supposedly Alternate has no idea the outcome of his investigations either. so far as I could tell from his roleclaim. So his voting will have no real insight more then any of the rest of us.

A strange twist to "follow the cop".
If the night kills are forced kills by random players, why wouldn't we go all the way down to four?
If a scum gets a chance to kill, they will target the cop and we'll start lynching from there.
