I can only say that chaplain of death is the dregs of society, and all that is wrong with Metropolis. After all, readily raising a pitchfork at a new guy in town is suspicious enough for two weeks in a row. I've seen it in the past days that I had been accused of being murderous scum even before I had arrived. Why would he want to lynch a townie that only is slightly delusional and can see things in hindsight?

I'm keeping my vote on Ivan. I agree with ccabal86 that no lynching is not getting us anywhere. Right now Ivan seems just as likely as anyone else.

None of what you've posted proves you are a townie.

You were given a chance when you first joined, and you posted NOTHING during the first day phase that you were here and only started posting now that you have been accused of being scum, and are in danger of being lynched.

I voted a No-Lynch last week based on the information we had and the number of active players we had, Please explain how that action makes me scummy.

If your trying to role claim your not being near specific enough for any of us to understand what your role would be. The more vague you are the easier it is to be making it up.

This is curious, what do you mean?

None of what you've posted proves you are a townie.

As far as I am concerned this is not a requirement. No of us can prove by posting that we are townies. It can not be confirmed except in specific circumstances and should not be a requirement to ward off someones vote. The very notion that you are requiring it makes you seem scummy to me.

Demonstrate? Sure. Explain how? Sure. Having a certain "townie" behavior? Fine. Prove it? Impossible.

Well excuse me for meaning the exact same thing with a different word grammer nazi. Obviously none of us can prove anything without any doubt whatsoever. But he offers not one piece of evidence of him being a townie. Because He hasn't done anything while he's been here. So either hes inactive and thereby useless, or hes scum trying to blend in with the inactives.

By all means though beebs take his side when a majority of us can already see the way he's been behaving and have agreed to lynch. If and when he turns out to be scum, we'll know where you stand.

This is why we have to lynch people, as it was put in the beginning of this game. You have to be able to look back at who voted for who, who moved their vote around just to get a lynch. Who defended the scum, who attacked the townies.

It's not about grammar. I didn't cite you for a misplaced comma or a spelling error. I'm sure all of us have been guilty of that, myself included. What I did notice is that you chose the word "prove". It has a much more charged meaning and is significantly more demanding than any of the other examples I pointed out. It's not a synonym. It's not about grammar. It's about the word you chose to characterize the level of evidence you required in placing your vote. I find it to be a distortion of the standard we ought to employ and I certainly don't find it to be evidence of a townie motive.

By all means though beebs take his side when a majority of us can already see the way he's been behaving and have agreed to lynch. If and when he turns out to be scum, we'll know where you stand.

I hope you're prepared to eat your words if you're wrong. However, I'd also point out, I have not defended anyone. Instead, I pointed out that your criteria is too strong to be, in my view, a constructive, fair and just standard for a lynch. I don't see how that is a defense of anyone; instead, I would call it more of an indictment of you.

Except in your last post you stated:

This seems to be inconsistent. How do you reconcile these points?

In that case voting for Ivan is just as good, and he has more votes already. Let's just stick to the plan and make sure we actually lynch someone this time, or we might end up with another no lynch <_<

this is based pureply on assumption but it appears he is a delusional cop >_> and he is accuseing you of being scum which i must say is something im going to take with a big grain of salt being that he said he is delusional that means he wouldnt know your role in the first place

sorry messed up the wording on my last statement. Since he is delusional he cant know in reality any of our roles given that being delusional usually equates to everyone being against you

So, basically you're saying Ivan is innocent, BeeBs knows this, and is trying to pose as a townie in case we lynch Ivan? Well, I guess that's possible, but isn't that a bit WIFOM-y?

Voting a no lynch when i have no evidence. And now even with a no lynch we have evidence of how people are voting. Two different ways to play, i chose to follow the play style the likely townies were using. None of what Ivan said points to him being a cop....... Now I'll try and treat the game like an essay for you beebs and triple check my word choice just for you. Not likely, i want something that minimizes the doubt to stop me from holding an opinion, obviously i already have a reason to hold that opinion.

Sorry, I hope you didn't take anything I said personally. I wasn't trying to insult you. You seem upset and I didn't intend to make it personal.

On another note, I'd reiterate I wasn't defending anyone with my post that pointed out Chaplain of death's choice of criteria. I was pointing out his statement specifically, not rebutting his overall opinion of Ivan. I hope re reading my post makes that clear. I wasn't saying his underlying reasoning against Ivan was weak or that he should remove his vote, if he felt that strongly. I was saying that I believed his criteria set an impossibly high bar. Further, my assertion didn't make any claims about the validity of the remaining votes placed by other players on Ivan or the reasons for those votes. I never onced even mentioned Ivan's character, reasons other people voted for him or the the reasons that Chaplain of death used to hold his vote.
