@Commander Shepard: I'm not gonna discuss semantics with you like Kaziocore did. It sucks and more importantly has nothing to do with scum hunting. Go troll someone else please.

It has everything to do with scum hunting.

It is terribly misleading as it was with my experience with Kaz.

He was also terribly misleading in his posts about how  things I did not.

@Shepard

I'm English second language. My choice of words is bound to sound a little bit off at times whether I'm scum or town. It's not a scum tell so drop it.

Let's get back to some real stuff.

... you and Kaz would make my second and third of my top suspects for questioning.

Interesting stuff. Who is your first top suspect though? And why aren't you voting for him?

It's a hunch, though it is more than my feelings of you and Kaz and everyone else.
It is probably the type of person Kaz would vote even though I mostly disagree with the voting method.
I'm not voting them yet because I am waiting for more of contribution.
Naming the person is counterproductive atm.

Did I miss you naming this mysterious first top suspect of yours? I guess not since your vote is still on me, your second or third top suspect.

We've had about 130 posts since you said that. Are you still waiting for more contribution? Is naming him still counterproductive?

I suggest that it is about time that you make your case against this mysterious suspect.

I thought it might of been, but I didn't want to say anything.

I may as well drop my vote on you because I only voted you for stuff that you may not have intended to say or imply.

That mysterious person hardly added anything.

That mysterious person hardly added anything.

Maybe he will when you make your case against him. Why wait any longer?

I'm waiting because it is how I think I should go about exploring their character, revealing that I find them suspicious right off the bat is not how I want to go about questioning this individual.

Kaz said early on that he intended to vote to put pressure on people, saying you're just doing something to put pressure on someone is not something I view as all that helpful as they may not buckle under pressure simply because they know why the votes are been put on them.

It is similar to that saying that goes something like "If your enemy is going something wrong, do not tell them what it is".

I view revealing what you intend to do does not help.

@Kaziocore @Martino

Although I agree that much of his behavior is anti-town I'm actually reading Shepard more and more as noob town rather than scum. What say you?

I would hardly call it anti town, if anything it was pro town.

Someone has to question you and Kaz, if not me then who else?

I do not think you're definitely town so it could be anti scum.

It's not your questioning of me that I consider anti-town though. On the contrary, that's the main reason I am leaning a bit more towards a town read for you now.

I am happy with RoTs responses.

Pretty much is active now so its good. I went back and skimmed through the posts from the beginning and apart from killgor's last 3 post I also found he has been pretty non-commital and commenting as if from the outside (not taking an active part in the discussions). According to me, he has contributed the least on Day 1 apart from Xarastier. Since the replacement still has not come in..

Vote: killgor

Questions to killgor: Who do you thing are acting the most scummy so far? Whats your thoughts on who the vig should target if anyone?  Whats your thoughts on Kazio?

I dont necessary disagree. I have also found Euclid's posts suspicious..but care to explain more? What kind of reaction are you referring to here?

Tbh I would like for you to be more specific about your FoS at me in #146 as well. Your case against me seems to be build on:

1. You reading into my posts that I throw "wild accusations" and I say definite things like "he must be scum."

2. You having a different opinion than me about what useful info there is on Day 1 (vote records, active vs inactive).

3. Me commenting on your choice to vote reign of terror rather than Xarastier.

Ad 1. I have done neither as I explained in #149 to which IIRC you never answered.

Ad 2. Do you consider everyone that disagrees with you on something suspicious?

Ad 3. Clearly I was just prompting you to clarify, which you have since done.

All in all a pretty weak case I'd say. But maybe I underestimate you and you were throwing that FoS at me mainly to hunt scum amongst those that sheep to it. If that's the case. Good job. I should probably give you some town points for that.

Basically my reasons for FOS that I gave in the post you referenced to. You came across as trying too hard to lynch some people based on just Day 1 discussions. I see you already admit that Commander Shepard may be a noob town --> exactly the point I was making earlier..new players tend to post a lot and inevitably end up posting scummy things. We should not lynch on Day 1 based on that but use that info as reference for scum hunting on later days. I personally think he is a noob town. I dont have a clearer read on you yet.

Rafay seems to be a prime candidate for lynching. His posts have been scummy, but having played with him a few games already, that is nothing new. So he may indeed be scum but it is really hard to read him as he is always defensive. So i really want some more posts from other people who have been gliding by. Apart from killgor and xarastier, Nerau was on my list but he has posted since then and mentioned RL issues, lyner has also been pretty quite lately.

@Euclid: I somewhat agree with you. However, I'm a bit hesistant to give him a free pass because he is new. I've seen that excuse being used by a scum once too many to give it any weight.

Since we're saying thing again: the Vigilante will most likely kill a townie.

When it happens, I'll say, "I told you so."

We've had this discussion countless times before. Until we have lost the game, the vig/lynch is always numerically more likely to target a townie. That does not mean that it is in our favor to sit around until we have lost.

Some general thoughts:

Both Rafay and Kilgor are playing like they played last game. That does not mean they are town, but I also would not draw the conclusion that they must be scum due to their playstyle. In any case, at this point I would rather not lynch Rafay.

Well the thing is there is no definite scummy behavior or town behavior, every player is different.

I'm new to this so my behavior is new to everyone and your behaviors are new to me.

New may indeed seem scummy to some old players, If I was to continue my mafia career it would change very little.

It's probably why all this talk about scummy moves and such is humorous for me.

It seems the key to maintaining that you could be town or scum is to maintain your behavior throughout the games and people base your behavior on your alignment at the end and how you acted throughout.

@Euclid: I somewhat agree with you. However, I'm a bit hesistant to give him a free pass because he is new. I've seen that excuse being used by a scum once too many to give it any weight.

We are on the same page here. I was just asking because I don't think he makes for a good Day 1 lynch.

I like your attempt to restart the KevinH wagon but will keep my vote on Rafay for now.

I would really like to get some input from the Xarastier slot now.

Since we're saying thing again: the Vigilante will most likely kill a townie.

When it happens, I'll say, "I told you so."

When we lynch a scum and the vig nightkills a scum then I'll say, "I told you so."  :P

Seriously though I hope that the vig already knows if he will be nightkilling or not.  If I was in his place, I don't think the other players would really convince me one way or the other.  I don't really care what he decides as long as he is doing what he feels is best for the town.

With 12 alive it takes 7 to lynch.

Rafay is currently the wagon leader at L-4

Deadline is Monday, May 6th, 2013 @ 23:20 PST

Our first replacement hasn't responded to me in awhile, so I'll be PMing Electric to replace Xarastier. When I get a replacement lined up and the role pm sent I will extend the deadline. Probably to about mid-day Thursday.
