Which one's do you watch. Are they good?

I'm currently watching

House of Cards S2

Family Guy

The Simpsons

American Dad

The Daily Show

I've watched,

How I Met Your Mother

Desperate Housewives

The Colbert Report

Futurama

Dexter

Spartacus

I'm thinking about watching Game of Thrones. I heard its good. But tell me does it have Harry Potter/LotR type of shit in it like midgets and dragons and strange creatures cuz I hate that stuff.

Anything you'd like to recommend judging by my taste.

Current:

Game of Thrones

The Walking Dead

Justified

Ray Donovan

The Blacklist

Outlander

Turn

Mad Men

Better Call Saul

Homeland

The Following

I have watched:

Breaking Bad

Spartacus

Dexter

Rome

The Sopranos

Deadwood

24

Boardwalk Empire

Sons of Anarchy

The Newsroom

The Tudors

Copper

Sherlock

The White Queen

Game of Thrones is the best TV series ever made. It's fantasy, but they are not over the top about it.

I'm a sucker for anything historical or of a past period. I thought the ending of Dexter was lame. Boardwalk's ending was perfect.

I thought the ending of Dexter was lame

Not lame, though anti climactic, yes.

I was thinking that he was gonna get murdered in front of his son and then his son would become the new dexter.....

Is Rome good? What's it about?

West Wing is good too

The one with Martin Sheen as Prez right?

Rome is superior. It's a very cool storyline set during the time of Julius Caeser, you will not be disappointed. There are only 2 seasons because it was a very expensive production. Ray Stevenson owes his career to his performance as the infamous Titus Pullo in this series. Can't tell you enough to watch Game of Thrones... after the first episode, you're hooked.

Pretty much the same as the list above...And for those that like historical or time period, I would like to add...

Marco Polo

Da Vinci's Demons

Borgia (the one in Netflix, not the one by Showtime)

The Pillars of the Earth...then...World without end (which pick up 200 years later from the pillars of the earth)

I am currently watching...

The Americans

Orphan Black

Wentworth

Flash

And a few others....

Other shows worth mentioning (that are not on the list above) are....

Being Human (US vesion)

Orange is the new black

Hell on Wheels

The L word

True Blood

Deadwood

Heroes

Band of Brothers

The Pacific

And you can't go wrong with Game of Throne or Rome, they both are good shows...

Oh yeah, can't wait to marathon the new Dare Devil series coming out on Netflix tomorrow...

I can't possibly list everything I have watched, it would get absurdly long. I forgot Hell on Wheels. Kinda bad because it's my current avatar lol. I tried Marco Polo but it didn't hook me. Da Vinci's Demons I've seen the whole thing so far, but I'm not much of a fan. Borgia, the one you are talking about is awesome. Once you get past the problem with accents... the Borgia family all speak with like 4 different accents... it's a brutal telling about the Vatican during an amazing time. Pillars started out strong but ended weak. I thought World Without End was better.

Yep, same here, I just list what comes to mind right now...I also watched a lot of Chinese, Japanese & Korean TV series dubbed in Thai since I can speak Thai & Lao fluently...

Couldn't agree more. We have similar taste in TV shows.

Rafay, I would throw in True Detective (since Season 2 is coming out in June) which is dark and gritty, but thoroughly gripping. Also if you're interested in comedy you should take a look at Arrested Development.

Season 2 teaser just came out today. Wouldn't peg any of those actors to play dark roles (except maybe Colin Farrell) which is why I'm looking forward to it so much.

Wow can't wait. This may be what Vince and Colin need to breathe new life into their careers. The writing on True Detective is amazing.

You will like Vikings.

I watch a lot of TV shows. Following are some of my favorites in order of awesomeness:

1. The Wire

2. Band of Brothers

3. Breaking Bad

4. The Walking Dead

5. Game of Thrones

6. Rome

7. The Sopranos

8. Boardwalk Empire

9. Deadwood (1st 2 seasons were awesome, then it got boring)

10. Supernatural

11. House MD

12. True Blood (my wife is a fan, I am pressured into watching <_< )

13. Firefly

14. Dexter (only the first few seasons were good)

15. Spartacus

16. Lost (only the first few seasons were good)

I left out the comedy shows.

Also have House of Cards in my to-be-watched list. Just need to make time.

  • 4 weeks later...

I have to revive this thread that really should be in real life rather than buried in general spam...

I have been binge watching this NetFlix show called "Bloodline"... pretty damn good!

Last two episodes tonight, and I hear they renewed for a second season.

I can't see at this point how they could pull off a second season. :)

  • 1 month later...

More people should try Continuum, and then petition for them to make more seasons.

  • 3 weeks later...
2. Band of Brothers

Quite possibly the best war film I've ever seen. That or Saving Private Ryan.

I haven't been able to get into many TV shows lately. I was watching House of Cards but lost interest.

I just got done watching season 2 of Knights of Sidonia after a long search for a half decent anime. Wasn't expecting much from a Netflix anime, but it's actually pretty cool. I like it's more realistic approach and emphasis on space exploration, biology and the twisted, mysterious, eerie psychological theme of the Guana just leaves you with constant questions.

Other than that, I've just been watching documentaries and lectures about physics.  :P

My wife and I just recently started watching Lost and Parks and Recreation on Netflix. Anyone seen either show?

I've seen the first few episodes of Lost, I think.
