Who's got the best shot against Hilary?

All of them. I think as soon as she starts talking about the cash and the emails someone else will primary her and she'll tank.

I'm really on the side of Huckabee, Rubio, Walker, and I will vote for Bush or Cruz if they pull it off. I'm a solid red Republican, so I'll vote the ticket regardless. We shall see.

Not sure if people can seee this, thought was funny

I would actually vote for Hillary if not for Libya, and not necessarily for the Libya incidents everyone else hates her for.

I really wasn't impressed by her calls for war. I mean, she was basically at the tip of spear with calls for war in Libya. We should have left that crap heap alone.

So because Huck believes in God it disqualifies him as a candidate? News flash... all our Presidents have claimed to believe in God. Sarah is from Alaska, and was obviously talking about how close Alaska is to Russia... but you guys hear things the way you want to hear them, right? Is that what you call... a scandal? How about a billion dollars of foreign donations?

Believing in God doesn't equal seeing creation > evolution. And I do enjoy all your presidents going "god bless america" each speech, its more like a catchphrase nowadays, like "god save the queen" in the UK (which won't change to "king" even if she kicks the bucket imo).

the Palin thing was funny cause she used the geographical distance to Russia as a reason why she would do good at diplomatic relation with them. I could claim the same about the Netherlands :D

anything a politician does is a scandal for someone, it just so happens that most of america only sees "the other side's" scandals but not there own.

come to Belgium, we like all scandals :D

I hear all your concerns Foxy. I don't understand how we can hate a Monarchy, but every time we elect a President we have to be tortured by their entire family. Mike Huckabee was a Baptist minister, so it's just who he is. I grew up in Christian schools, but I have been agnostic since I was able to ask questions. Having a President that believes in God is part of the platform. I can't think of anyone who has ever run on the athiest ticket. Strong faith doesn't bother me... on the other hand I prefer it. It shows that the person in office has a moral compass. Hillary is just trying to ride this all out to the nomination. She knows if she talks, she'll start to lose, and if her support weakens any further she will have a primary challenge, and she could lose. She doesn't want to face a strong attack on her left, that's what happened to her in 08. She wants to be coronated so she can lie her way to the White House.

It's up in the air, but I have always liked Marco Rubio, ever since he destroyed Charlie Crist so bad he ran to the Democrats.

Lys, what is your opinion on Koch brothers, Adelson and other big donators?

I have a fundamental problem that a candidate for most powerful position in world of the most powerful nation has to bend over and take care of 'their' interests, which may or may not be in greater interest of the nation. I hear GOP candidates even have to basically give interview...

Hope you see my point, and this isn't a troll bait.

Democrats have most of the media in their corner, so they will run stories about those that back Republicans and try to demonize their donations. The left loves to smear people that make money, but they never smear their own. Tom Steyer donates hundreds of millions to candidates as long as they support his chicken little, global warming alarmist agenda. Does anyone ever investigate how much money these people will make if they ever get their way? George Soros is the scum of the planet, and makes billions from currency manipulation... chaos is his business. The Koch's do everything for the benefit of the country. Their charities are first order, and they do much more than anyone ever hears about. Sheldon Adelson is only concerned about Israel and supports their cause, sorry it's not in line with your agenda. Everyone has their backers and that's okay with us, just don't try to say corporations can't donate but unions are just fine. Foreign money is NEVER OKAY!

How large does a multinational corporation have to be before their donation is considered foreign money?

That question is a bit above my pay grade. My guess is it's not the size of the corporation, but who is the majority shareholder. Whoever has controlling interest controls the corporation. Money, no matter who you are, can only take you so far in a campaign. If people don't like you, it doesn't matter how much money is spent... you will not get their vote. I hate campaign ads, but I pay attention and know who I'm voting for instantly. I will vote for whichever Republican has the best chance to keep Democrats from destroying my way of life. Anyone who is still a Democrat hasn't had big government slowly sucking away everything you work so hard for.

If you ask me, all three are the same person in three different bodies. All three would have invaded Iraq and all three would have done the same stupid crap. I'm not fond of the idea of risking another pointless war just so some warmongerer can impress daddy. Even if he's somehow different from the other two (which I don't think he is), the Bush name is ruined and they should probably retire from politics. We have enough political dynasties anyway.

Nothing wrong with being religious, and he's a nice guy. However, I'm not religious, thus not fond of a president making political decisions based on their religious views, which I think he likely would. There's a reason we have a separation of church and state.

Also, I'm just not very fond of neo-conservativism in general. Ron Paul was cool, but that's because he's a libertarian and realizes how ridiculous our foreign policy is.

Rick Perry says he's going to run for President.

I don't know who I am going to vote for the Republican party. It's mainly a toss up, whoever has a better shot at beating Hilary is the one I am going to vote for.

I will see who knows it could be Vermin Supreme for the fun of it. In the coming months, especially in the late fall I should have a feeling who to vote for.

Rick really stepped in a huge pile in 2012. Too bad because I really thought he would shake earth, but he was not ready to run and it's hard to get a second chance to make a first impression. There will be more Republicans announcing and by the time the convention rolls around it will be hard to keep track. There is no front-runner, so that just encourages everyone that has a group of people telling them they are a lock if they just throw their name in. The debates will come in the fall and that will start to tell a story, for they can't let everyone on the stage. They will limit them to those that poll the highest... I can't imagine more than 8 on the stage. When February comes we have the Iowa caucus, and the pack will thin immediately when the most conservative do not have a good showing. They will know they can't win the nomination and pull out. We will see more leave the race after New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada. On March 1st I believe we have Super Tuesday and we will then know who has the best chance to grab the golden ring. Hopefully by then Hillary will be so covered in her own deception she can't see the light of day.

. To be fair to Bush Jr, all GOP candidates would have done what was done IMO, other than that one guy who is of the view of spending money at home rather than invading xyz.

"but is local money ok to do foriegn bidding?"... I'm not really understanding this question, I can't give an opinion if I don't know your meaning. What the American people do with their money is their business. I'm a Libertarian and believe everyone should be able to do whatever they want as long as it doesn't hurt someone else. "Hurt" means actual damages, such as losing cash, position, property, or personal injury... hurt "feelings" are bullshit and get into the realm of "political correctness", which is the work of insane liberalism that wants to control society by making specific human emotion a crime. That's why I don't believe in "Hate Crime"... it's trying to punish people for feeling. This is getting off the rails of money influence but it's my way of saying I don't really care.

And here I thought "hate crime" was designed to additionally punish those who inflict harm on people on the basis of prejudice.

You punish the crime... not the reason. Everyone is equal under the law. When you start treating people different because of the way they feel about other people, we will end up in a world of shit, because it always cuts both ways and then pretty soon no one is accountable for anything because everyone can make a case that they are hated for something. If we are ever going to rid ourselves of racism, or gayism, or blondism, or any other hate-ism you can think of... we have to begin with prohibiting the "ism" excuses for everything. Man kills a man... man gets punished under the law. It doesn't matter that the black man hated the white dude, or who the dude was having sex with. You're just complicating the obvious.

so any "added" crime related motivation should be abolished? Both negative (the hate one) as positive (for example defence)?

fine, 30y per dead person! I don't care if you outright hated the fellow for all the socially/morally wrong reasons or cause he was cutting your family members fingers off 1 by 1, you get 30y.

Lysistrata, you dislike "hate speech", not "hate crime"! A distinctions with a more plausible explaination (w00t freedom of all the things in the USA!!).
