Greetings PresidentMueller, I enjoy new opinions here, especially those that will be voting.
Your idea for VP is interesting, but it would never work. There once was a time when the election for President was a list of names, and the one who took the second most votes was designated VP. I'm not sure why this ended, but there must have been a reason. VP is a thankless job... they break ties in Senate votes, show up to events that the President doesn't want to do, and his boss is the President. If a Democrat was elected President and was forced by law to have a Republican VP, they would never trust each other, work together, or even be seen together. It would be a very bad relationship and end up with very public expressions of middle fingers. Plus we have more than two political parties and that would cause endless court battles over rights.
Bernie loves to make promises he can't keep. We don't have the 18 trillion dollars to pay for his freebies, and do you think Congress will just say "Whatever you want Bernie... we just love you man"? It will not ever happen.
Trump won't drift to the center, in many ways he's already there. He's not a conservative, nor is he a liberal. He wants what will make the country stronger, richer, and more confident. The only way he will lose the nomination is for many candidates to drop out, and then their support has to go to someone else... I'm not sure this will happen, and if this continues, he will sweep the first 3, 4, or 5 states, and then there would be no real way to stop him.
I believe Trumps real strength has not even taken shape yet. He's a celebrity, everyone knows him, and he will get votes from everywhere. Many Democrats, Independents, Blacks, Women, Seniors, and yes even Hispanics, will vote for him because he's a star, they think he's funny, or they just don't trust Clinton. No one can deny his ability to get things done... he's built a 10 billion dollar empire all by himself. Many have made more than Trump, but they didn't do it alone like he has. We shall see.
