I think they got dirt on the head sparrow.

 

I really liked this episode.  Top moment was The Mountain decapitating the smug little sparrow.  Really?  You actually plan to drag a woman out of her home to meet with your asshole leader against her will?   I am totally down with pouring wildfire all over that temple. 

 

Hard to swallow Arya managed to survive the stab wounds, fall into that body of water (icky infection invitation), and then be able to run all over town while being chased by the waif.  Second top moment was knowing what was going to happen when she snuffed the candle.

 

Riverrun, total waste, except the guy playing Edmire is the same who played Brutus in Rome.  I war really hoping for a passionate kiss from Jamie and Brianne, even though I knew they would not kiss, but it would have been kind of hot, but it would have ruined everything.  LOL  Will Edmire live out his days with his son in Casterly Rock?  I think not.  How did Catelyn's siblings, Edmire and Lysa turn out to be such twats?

 

I predicted Dani would not cotton to the return of slavery and it looks like I was right.  Poor Tyrian, will he get into trouble?

Yep... Rome was so awesome I had to comment. He plays a sick puppy called Black Jack Randal in Outlander as well.

 

Edmure Tully isn't the brightest, but I believe Jaime convinced him that this was the only way to keep his entire family, and all of House Tully, from being erased. I'm disappointed that Blackfish didn't have more to bring to the show. Two fights I wanted to see, and was denied, was Blackfish and Arya. I still don't believe Arya could possibly do all that, let alone survive gut wounds that intense, but I guess it's in the script. The best part about the whole thing was the candle... "Well bitch... can you do it in the dark?"

 

Episode 9 has traditionally been the epic episode of every season... be ready.

Another theory about the rumor is that she may have found out that the tyrells are the ones who plotted and killed Joffery. Which would give her another reason to say fuck it and burn kings landing since Tommen is obviously lost to her. Or perhaps it was that Tyrion is with Dany. Or that the Starks are marching on Winterfell (not sure why she would care though). So many possibilities......

Overall best episode of the season so far by far. The battle scene is literally the most i've gotten out of TV in so many years, reminded me of some Lord of The Rings type battles, pretty epic and I have nothing bad to say.

 

Only thing that pissed me off is why didn't they give wun wun like a big ass club or something, like they deliberately nerfed him, could have done so much damage compared to the amount of damage he took

Battle scenes were pretty good. But wth..anyone ever hear of military strategy? How do you allow yourself be surrounded on 3 sides by footmen? At one point it looked Jon and his army were just waiting around so that they can get surrounded.

 

Also wtf moment...Ramsey retreats to Winterfell and claims he can withstand a siege, because Jon has no army left. Didnt he just see a Vale army cut his forces to shreds? whaat? anyway..poor script writing.

 

Also, Mereen siege ended with a whimper. I guess they blew all the budget on the Winterfell battle. But still a let down.

I LOVED this episode!

This is the first time in a long time that Dani wasn't annoying to me. Loved her battle (how the hell did she not fall?) . Loved the meeting with Asha and Theon. Tyrian's speech was quite good. Raiding and raping is all the Iron born have??? Geez, move off those islands!

Sansa the strategist rocks the house. I also was like WTF when Jon's army was being surrounded, they don't know how to fight soldiers marching past with shields? Still, I loved the battle. Poor actor playing Rickon, did he have a single line this season? At least he appeared in two seasons. Loved the giant, agree he should have a club, but didn't think about it until Samus pointed it out. Like Imran (aka Sherlock), I was wondering what Ramsey was talking about with " they have no army" but I think he was trying to get his remaining men to not surrender. I kept waiting for the cavalry to come to the rescue, predictable but pleasing. Dang! Climbing over mountains of dead and dying was a great idea for production.

Ramsey's death was the best moment of the year and rivaled Joffrey's murder. So freaking satisfying! "Sit, Fido, sit?" Not when you starved him for a week, you sadistic pile of worthlessness. Great acting from Sophie Tucker! The carnage written on her face, instead of making us watch was a great choice and impossible to pull off with a lesser actress.

What confused me the most was Sansa tells Ramsey, "You're gonna die tomorrow, Lord Bolton", and then rides off... then Ramsey talks about his dogs not eating for 7 days. Later Sansa says, "You said it yourself... the dogs haven't eaten in 7 days"... she wasn't there to hear him say that, but I guess it's in the script.

 

Another Stark bites the dust, and Jon should have listened to Sansa, and not fell for Ramsey's trap. The plan was not to charge, but they did anyway. Petyr Baelish will be unveiling his true intent.

 

I believe I figured out what the "old rumor" is... it's if the Wild Fire that was installed by the Mad King to burn Kings Landing, is still there... I think Cersei will burn it all, and kill everyone in the process. Remember back when Dani was in the House of the Undying... she had a vision of the throne room, and the roof was burned out and snow was all over the ground. Jamie will freak when his sister kills herself, and Tommen, and everyone. We shall see...

Very good points. I was saying the same thing about keeping the Vale communication a secret with hubby at lunch today. Also, even if Sansa didn't actually witness Ramsey make the starved hound threat, she was probably told about it.

Most important thing we should learn out this episode was not to ever run in a straight line when someone is shooting at us .

 

Battle scene was pretty cool until Bolton's infantry come in and magically surrounded Jon's "army". Also that epic fell was lost a bit with distant camera shots. It didn't feel like 5-8 thousands clashing together...more like 200-400 at most (and no, it wasn't really possible they got 90% casualties up to this point). Also how the hell that huge pile of corpses appeared? Were they playing "king of the hill" mode or something?

 

Other than that, those outrageous costs to feed the dragons are finally paying of.

lol..yeah. I found that funny as well. Looked like a ripoff from 300.

 

Also its disappointing how they completely ignored to demonstrate how Dany actually controlled the dragons. This was a big issue in the books where she has no idea how to control them let alone make them do coordinated strikes at ships.

 

Also funny how the Sons of the Harpy suddenly appeared outside the gates conveniently s that the dothraki can wipe them out. Gaping plot holes but I guess they really needed to wrap up the Meereen seige.
