Floating six inches above the floor, next to Justin was an even more bizarre sight. Peeves the Poltergeist was suspended in the air frozen. Harry didn't know what to do and he was beginning to panic. Should he run to tell Professor Dumbledore? As he was trying to decide his best course of action Ernie MacMillan rounded the corner.
"Caught in the act!" He shouted as he took in the scene. "ATTACK! ATTACK! ANOTHER ATTACK! NO MORTAL OR GHOST IS SAFE! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! ATTAAAACK!" Professor Dumbledore quickly appeared and shushed Ernie as he motioned to Harry to follow him.
Dumbledore led Harry to his office and instructed him to wait there. Harry glanced around the large circular room and spotted the Sorting Hat sitting a shelf nearby. Harry walked over to the hat and picked it up. He placed the Sorting Hat on his head and the hat spoke to him. "Yes, Mr. Potter?"
"I was just wondering.. the night when you sorted me into Gryffindor.. did you put me in the right house?"
"I standby what I said last year. You would have done well in Slytherin."
Harry's heart sank as he pulled the hat off. "You're wrong" he said as he placed it back on Dumbledore's shelf.
From the other side of the room came a strange squawking sound. Harry turned around and noticed a strange sick looking bird sitting on a perch next to Dumbledore's desk. Suddenly, the bird burst into flames and became nothing but a pile of ashes.
Dumbledore reappeared as Harry had moved closer to where the bird sat. "Interesting creatures - Phoenixes" Dumbledore said. "They burst into flames when they are ready to die and are reborn from the ashes." Harry looked at the pile of ashes as a baby phoenix poked it's head out. "And their tears have healing powers."
Dumbledore's office door burst open and Hagrid rushed into the room swearing that it couldn't have been Harry that petrified Peeves and Justin Finch-Fletchley. Dumbledore agreed that it was not Harry but he still wondered if there was anything that Harry wanted to tell him. Harry contemplated telling Dumbledore about the voices that he had been hearing or about his fears that he was connected to Salazar Slytherin but he once again decided against it.

As Christmas approached Mr. and Mrs. Weasley informed their children that they would be visiting Bill in Egypt for Christmas so the Weasleys would all be staying at Hogwarts over break. On Christmas morning Hermione snuck into the boy's dormitory and informed Harry and Ron that the Polyjuice Potion was ready. The three of them decided that they would use the potion that evening to try and learn more about what Malfoy knew.
Harry and Ron still needed bits of the person that they were going to change into to complete the potion (Hermione already had a hair from Millicent Bulstrode's robes). Harry snuck into the Hospital Wing and snatched one of Goyle's hairs for his potion. Hermione and Ron enchanted a chocolate cupcake that knocked Crabbe out so that Ron could extract one of his hairs. After Harry and Ron hid Crabbe in a nearby broom cupboard they raced up to Moaning Myrtle's bathroom to meet Hermione.
Hermione reminded them that the potion would only last for approximately an hour so that needed to find out as much information as they could and get out quickly. The Polyjuice potion tasted awful and made them all want to hurl. After a couple painful seconds of transformation Harry exited his bathroom stall and walked over to the mirror above one of the sinks. Goyle stared back at him. Ron also made his way over to see Crabbe reflected in the mirror. Hermione refused to leave her stall however and urged Harry and Ron to go on without her. They finally agreed and hurried off toward the dungeons.
As they walked down a dimly lit dungeon corridor they saw the real Millicent Bullstrode and followed her into the Slytherin Common Room. They sat in a couple armchairs near the Slytherin's fireplace where Millicent and a couple other Slytherin students sat talking and laughing. One of the Slytherin students held a clip of an article from the Daily Prophet announcing that Arthur Weasley had been fined 50 galleons by the Ministry of Magic for enchanting his car. Ron could feel his temper rising but remained cool. The topic of conversation gradually made its way to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
Harry and Ron were disappointed to learn that Malfoy apparently did not know who the Heir of Slytherin was. He did know though that the Chamber had been opened before. Fifty years ago it had been opened and a muggle-born girl had died.
Harry and Ron lost track of time. It wasn't until Harry noticed that Ron's hair was turning red again that they realized how long they had been gone. Harry grabbed Ron and quickly pulled him with him and they ran out of the Slytherin Common Room. As they hurried around the corner toward the stairs Ron ran straight into Dean Thomas and knocked him to the dungeon floor. Millicent Bullstrode must have followed them out of the Slytherin Common Room because they could hear her calling for Crabbe and Goyle to see what they were doing. Ron apologized to an unconscious Dean and they hurried off back toward Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom.
They pushed open the bathroom door and ran in to find that Hermione was still in the stall where they had left her. Hermione told them why she couldn't go with them. "The hair that I pulled off of Millicent Bullstrode's robes wasn't her hair. It was a cat hair." Hermione said. "Polyjuice Potion is for human transformations only." Hermione opened the stall door and Ron and Harry saw what had happened. Hermione's face was covered in cat fur and she had two pointy ears and a tail. After suppressing the urge to laugh, Harry and Ron recounted what they had learned.
Since Hermione was in the Hospital Wing the next day she did not go to any classes. Ron and Harry made their way to their morning Herbology class in Greenhouse 3. When they arrived it was not Professor Sprout that greeted them, but Hagrid. He informed the class that Professor Sprout's earmuffs had fallen off while she was caring for the mandrakes and that she had fainted. It was serious enough that she would be in the Hospital for awhile.
Dean Thomas (Wolfpacks) a Normal Hogwarts Student was knocked out on night 4.
Professor Sprout (KevinH) a Hogwarts Tracker was knocked out on night 4.
It is now day 5. With 9 alive it takes 5 to lynch or 3 at deadline.

I need to preview before just hitting Post.@Lego:I think we're pretty clear right now that 1ceCream is the scum candidate we intend to test today, and Ali gave what results he believes will be confirmed if 1ceCream turns out to be scum. It strikes me as a little odd that you need to post asking for confirmation about that though, when it's pretty clearly spelled out.@Ali:SM's status has been interesting for me because she was the first "Nothing happened" result KevinH provided with his tracker RC. When I suspected Kevin more, it was on the basis that she could have been scum giving him a safe claim on D2; with the addition of CoD as a Role Cop it is fully possible that Kevin's results could have followed from CoD identifying VT's. However we also have CoD who voted on Kevin and got him to L-1, and the odds of Kevin still being fake are much lower since iSoc has not contested Kevin's N3 result.So I started with seeing SM as a potential scum-accomplice to Kevin, and with Kevin looking more town that doesnt apply as much anymore... but it felt like her vanilla-ness was otherwise taken as a given in the discussion after Kevin's initial claim - there does not seem to have been a lot of actual attention focused on her since then aside from noting her vote shifts on Finster, etc.She also was voicing support for the Wolfpacks wagon later on D3 after CoD pushed Wolfpacks and the bandwagoning started, but did not actually vote for it. This could have been a townie convinced by everything that was said, but instead of jumping her vote quickly she held off for a while.It's worth keeping her on a list to examine at least, and if I get more time this weekend it may be worth reading back on her D1/2/3 positions.-Preston
