Harry was disappointed the next morning when there still wasn't any sign of Hedwig with a response from Sirius. He started to worry about what might have happened to either of them. He couldn't afford to dwell on it too much however since today was the first day of classes. First up for the Gryffindor fourth years was Herbology where they learned to collect pus from Bubotubers from Professor Sprout, followed by Care of Magical Creatures with Hagrid. Hagrid's assignment for the group was to learn how to raise Blast-Ended Skrewts. These were lobster-looking creatures with stingers and sucker looking things on their stomachs that were used to suck blood. Blast-Ended Skrewts were also known for their ability to explode periodically.

 

After Care of Magical Creatures, Harry, Ron, and Hermione headed to the Great Hall for lunch. Hermione ate quickly and hurried off to the library. This was not an uncommon occurrence of course, but it was even a bit odd for Hermione on the first day of classes. Harry and Ron finished eating and headed to Divination. Harry hated Divination because Professor Trelawney was always predicting his death and seemed like a big fraud. Harry could not forget the prediction that he had witnessed her make last year though about the Dark Lord rising again. Even Dumbledore believed that he believed this particular trance of hers was genuine.

 

Malfoy made fun of Ron once again at dinner. This time it was about an article that Rita Skeeter wrote about Arthur Weasley's handling of the Mad-Eye Moody incident in the Daily Prophet. Ron and Malfoy insulted each other's mother before Harry stepped in and pulled Ron away. Harry had just turned his back to Malfoy as well when Malfoy shot a curse at him. Professor Moody limped into the Great Hall, pointing his wand at Malfoy. He turned Malfoy into a white ferret and chuckled as he bounced him up and down in the air to the Gryffindor's delight. Professor McGonagall was horrified to learn that this was Moody's idea of punishment and hurried over to stop him. She changed him back and Moody dragged him off to chat with Professor Snape. Hermione quickly ate and once again hurried off to the library.

 

The next day was the one that many of the Gryffindors were eagerly awaiting. They would finally get to attend Moody's Defense Against the Dark Arts class. Moody hobbled into the room and told everyone to put away their books. "I am here to bring you up to scratch on what wizards can do to one another," he declared. Even though the Ministry would not have you learn about this, I have Dumbledore's permission to teach you about the three Unforgivable Curses. I say, the sooner you know what you're up against, the better."

 

Moody grabbed a jar off of his desk that contained three spiders. The first curse I am going to show you is called the Imperius Curse. Moody took the first spider out of the jar and set it on the desk.

 

"IMPERIO" he growled as he pointed his wand at the spider. The spider was completely under Moody's control. He raised it into the air and moved it left and right. "This curse gives the caster total control over his victims," Moody said.

 

"Now, who can tell me what another one of the Unforgivable Curses is?" Hermione's hand shot into the air, but to everyone's surprise Neville slowly rose his hand into the air as well. "Neville, is it?" Moody said as he pointed to him.

 

"Yes sir," Neville responded. "There's the Cruciatus Curse."

 

"Oh, yes. You would know all about that one my boy," Moody said with an air of sorrow in his voice. He turned toward the second spider and raised his wand again.

 

"CRUCIO."

 

The spider recoiled and started trembling violently. It rolled over and rocked from side to side in agonizing pain.

 

"STOP IT!" Hermione shouted from behind them. Neville's hands were clenched upon the desk in front of him. His knuckles were wide and his eyes were wide and horrified. Moody discontinued the use of the curse and put the second spider back into the jar.

 

"Would you care to tell me what the third Unforgivable Curse is Miss Granger?" Hermione shook her head as she looked slightly terrified. Moody nodded and turned back to the jar. He set the third spider on the desk in front of them and raised his wand.

 

"Avada Kedavra!"

 

The spider dropped to the table dead in a flash of green light. "There is no blocking the the killing curse," he said. Only one known person has ever survived it.. and he's sitting in front of me right now." Moody turned toward Harry. His magical eye spun in it's socket and locked on him for a moment. "You've got to appreciate what the worst is. You don't want to find yourself in a situation where you're facing it."

 

After class, Hermione ran to find Neville in order to comfort him. Moody also found them and clapped Neville on the shoulder. "It's all right sonny. Why don't you come up to my office. We can have a cup of tea."

 

Hermione left dinner quickly again that night and headed back to the library. Harry and Ron took their time eating as they tried to put off their Divination homework for as long as possible. They had to admit though that they enjoyed bullshitting a couple dozen predictions of "disasters" that were supposed to happen to them over the coming month.

 

Hermione returned to the common room a little while later and finally reveals what she had been doing. She was carrying a box that was full of badges with the letters S.P.E.W. on them. "It stands for the Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare," Hermione announced. Ron laughed as Hermione tried to get him and Harry to join.

 

"Hermione.. open your ears! The house elves like being enslaved!" Ron yelled at her. But Hermione would not listen to him. She wanted them to help recruit more members to her cause.

 

Just then there was a rap on the nearby window. Hedwig had returned! She had a letter from Sirius clenched in her beak. Harry rushed over to the window and opened it for her. He took the letter and welcomed her back before she flew off to the Owlery to eat. Sirius' letter informed Harry that he was flying north immediately. The news about Harry's scar was the latest in a series of strange rumors that he reached him. Harry sort of freaked out because he didn't want Sirius to come out of hiding just because he had a nightmare and his scar was hurting.

 

Harry had trouble sleeping that night. He was worried about Sirius. He also woke up in a cold sweat as he could see Voldemort in the armchair next to the fire bypassing Wormtail and giving cryptic instructions for a job to an unknown man.

 

 

 

Wormtail (Canik) a mafia Even-Night Jack-of-All-Trades has been skipped over by the Dark Lord on day 3.

Before Defense Against the Dark Arts the next morning, Harry wrote another letter to Sirius to try to convince him that everything was fine and that there wasn't any point in coming back to check on him.

 

The Gryffindors were nervous about this particular Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson. One by one Moody placed them under the Imperius Curse and asked them to try to resist the spell. No one showed any sign of being able to resist the curse, except for Harry. He could hear Moody's orders in his mind as he tried to focus on fighting them with mixed results. Still, Mad-Eye Moody was pleased with him. "Potter fought! He fought it and he damn near beat it! Very good Potter! Very good indeed! They'll have trouble controlling you."

 

That afternoon Dumbledore informed the school that the students from Durmstrang and Beauxbatons would be arriving on Friday. The whole school was filled with anticipation and it was fairly obvious that many of the staff were stressed. Harry and Ron couldn't help but notice that Fred and George were acting weird. They kept writing letters and would duck into corners whenever possible to discuss something. When questioned they would just ignore Ron, however.

 

Hermione continued her campaigning for S.P.E.W. "You do realize that your sheets are changed, your fires lit, your classrooms cleaned, and your food cooked by a group of magical creatures who are unpaid and enslaved?" She refused to listen to anybody who suggested that the house-elves enjoyed their work. Hermione was interrupted by a rap on the window. Hedwig had returned with another letter from Sirius. Harry unfolded a small slip of paper that had two little words scribbled on it: "Nice try". It seemed that Sirius had already made up his mind about visiting Harry and wouldn't change it.

 

The heads of each Hogwarts House led their students out onto the grounds on Friday afternoon to await the arrival of their guests. They hadn't been waiting long before a gigantic, powder blue, horse-drawn carriage soared through the air and landed on the lawn. The door of the carriage opened and the Headmistress of Beauxbatons stepped out. Madame Maxime was an enormously tall and richly dressed woman. Her students, dressed in thin blue silk robes, followed her from the carriage. Several of the Hogwarts men stared intently as gorgeous woman after gorgeous woman ducked out of the carriage. They likely wouldn't have turned their gaze away from the Beauxbatons students had it not been for a rumble coming from the Black Lake.

 

A large, strangely skeletal ship, emerged from the depths of the lake and docked by the shore. A group of men dressed in thick maroon robes emerged and were led onto the lawn by their Headmaster, Igor Karkaroff. Ron's mouth fell open as he surveyed the Durmstrang crowd. He nudged Harry in the ribs and pointed at one of the students near Karkaroff. It was the Bulgarian Seeker, Viktor Krum.

 

Dumbledore welcomed the two groups and led everyone into the Great Hall for a welcome feast. The Beauxbatons and Durmstrang students sat intermingled at each of the four house tables. Several of the ladies from Beauxbatons sat near Harry, Ron, and Hermione at the Gryffindor table. Ron was smitten with one particularly lovely girl from Beauxbatons who had asked him to pass the bouillabaisse. She had a long sheet of silvery-blonde hair that almost feel to her waist, deep blue eyes, and very white, even teeth. She reminded Ron of the Veela at the World Cup match.

 

Harry, Ron, and Hermione were surprised to see that Dumbledore had been joined at the staff table by Ludo Bagman and Mr. Crouch. After several minutes Dumbledore stood up and announced to the room that the Triwizard Tournament was about to begin. "There will be five judges for the tournament: Ludo Bagman, Mr. Crouch, Madame Maxime, Igor Karkaroff, and myself." Filch waddled over to Dumbledore carrying an ancient-looking case. "Inside this case is an impartial selector of the Champion from each of the three schools," Dumbledore said. He waved his wand and the case opened. A large golden cup rose into the air. Dumbledore waved his wand again and blue flames erupted from the mouth of the cup. "Students who would like to be considered for the Champion of their school have 24 hours to write their name on a slip of paper and throw it into the Goblet of Fire. I remind you that there is a strict age minimum of seventeen in order to be considered as one of the Champions." Dumbledore casted a spell around the Goblet and a magical golden ring of light surrounded it. "This is an age line. No one under the age of seventeen will be able to cross it."

 

Fred and George finally shared the plan that they had been concocting. They intended to take an Aging Potion to trick Dumbledore's enchantment and submit their names for consideration as Hogwarts Champion. When the feast had ended, Igor Karkaroff hustled the Durmstrang students out of the hall. He froze for a moment at the door as his eyes settled on Harry. "Yeah, that's Harry Potter," came Moody's rough voice from behind him. Karkaroff went pale at the sight of Moody and then rushed out the door with his students.

 

All of the Durmstrang students submitted their names to the Goblet of Fire the next morning, including Viktor Krum. Fred and George walked into the Great Hall after them to a few cheers. They looked incredibly thrilled with themselves. "Bottom's up!" Fred called to George as they both tipped their heads back and downed a shot of the Aging Potion. George stepped across the Age Line and tossed his name into the Goblet of Fire. There was a loud sizzling sound and both twins were hurled backward through the air away from the golden circle. A long white beard instantly appeared on George's face as if he had been growing it for 50 years. Lee Jordan helped George to his feet and took him off toward the Hospital Wing.

 

A few moments later, the ladies of Beauxbatons strolled into the room looking as beautiful as ever. They formed a line and one by one tossed their names into the cup.

 

The rumor around the breakfast table was that Cedric Diggory (Hufflepuff) had submitted his name. Angelina Johnson, one of the Gryffindor Chaser's had also submitted her name.

 

 

George Weasley (Imran Ehsan) a 2-Shot Doctor has been taken to the Hospital Wing on night 3.

 

 

It is now day 4.

I never tried to save CANIK. He was on my scum list. If people have adequate attention to yehom I would of been voting for canik.

Anyways. I still suspect yehom, but that's the easy route. I have a new suspect anyways.

iSoc has been pretty inactive, but his last comment saying that he wanted to vote me has been very 'neutral' in the sense that he basically said nothing. He didn't feel like voting for Canik not for the reasons people before him stated, like not lynching him so the day would end, also didn't really spoke out his stance on Canik, i.e. not defending him, not arguing for him either. I've suspected Robert of being scum since D1 after his 'on the fence'-remarks and I've caught him doing basically the same last day as well. I'm pretty sure both of them are scum. 

 

Also why was Imran killed? Of course he was doing a great job pointing out that Kevin is guaranteed town and overall probably the most outspoken and most recognized townie, which were a given and they were lucky he was the Docter, because his actions wouldn't have suggested that he would have such a role. However Imran also called me out on something which makes me the easiest target like Robert so happenly mentioned. It's a scum move trying to paint me scum, which only points more towards Robert

as of last night he has made my scum list. I suppose it would make more sense why if I claimed now.

I am Dumbledore, town motion detector. On night one I visted Kevin (motion detected). On night 2 I visited sister midnight (no motion detected). On night 3 I visted Wolfpacks (motion detected) . Now it's unlikely wolfpacks was visted so I can say he most likely has a night action that he used. Since his activity has been so bad, he has time to submit a night action but not participate in the thread? Hince my vote on him. I figured revealing that I had a night action while scum not knowing what it was would of brought them to kill me. I'd rather to be the obvious mafia target and hoped a watcher would be in the game and nail scum that way. My powers are situational at best. A gamble that not really paid off and really hasn't hurted the since nobody died n1 or n2.

My information could help the town thus far. But maybe my reasoning could be a bit clearer now. I've essentially put Kevin, sister midnight, and Wolfpacks on the spot now with my role claim.

How dose Imran death put you in a bad light yehom. Your attempts to connect the are weird at best. If anything, imran death would put me in a worse light then you.

But since we know there was a doc and he was 2 shots. Perhaps there are other 1 shots or 2 shots role in the game.

Given that these HP games have been fairly power role heavy (and that our 2 best power roles were shot limited, which implies more power roles exist imo), I fail to see how motion immedietly means Wolfpacks is scum. Its quite likely he has a non-vanilla role. Its also quite possible someone else targeted him. However since you've already claimed, and having gotten a result on such a weak role that was probably for the best, we might as well see what Wolfpacks has to say for himself.

I've been suspicious of you for quite a while. If Wolfpacks turns out to be scum, I'm taking careful note of this post.

I'm waiting for Wolfpacks and SM to enlighten us on the 'results' that Robert posted, because to be frank, those could have been easily faked. It's to convenient that he so happen to have checked Kevin who is guaranteed visited by Finster, SM who called him out on the Wolfpacks vote and Wolfpacks himself who Robert is accusing based on his 'motion detection'. The only thing you can conclude on those results if they are even real, is that either Wolfpacks did something or someone did something to Wolfpacks. That's a 50/50 at best on whether Wolfpacks is scum or not
