Points galore in IFFL Week 6
Karachi comes out on top in a lackluster "Green Bowl"
Lahore's Undefeated Streak snaps thanks to Karachi Dolphins
ThorsHammers vs Acme States hailed as Game of the Week
Karachi wins the 1st ever "Green Bowl" against weakened Lahore
Karachi won a lackluster match that had the potential to be the greates game in IFFL history. The match billed as the "Battle of the Quarterbacks" fizzled out early thanks to Aaron Rodgers getting injured within the first few minutes of play. From there on out the writing was on the wall for Lahore as they couldn't put up any offense against Karachi. The running department of Karachi led by Melvin Gordon ran roughshod over the Lahore defense scoring 27 points alone as Karachi mopped the floor w/ Lahore in the 1st ever Green Bowl and thereby breaking Lahore's undefeated 5-0 streak.
Gridiron Empire conquers the Bees
The emperor fought the hive and won. Gridiron empire showed what actually a cohesive unit means ans systematically took apart Texas in their clash and comfortably took the W. This is the third straight win for the Empire who look like a play-off team at this point. Texas had no answer for the running dept which scored 50 points out of 117 for Empire. The reception dept was amazing in its own right as they scored a combined 28 points to coast Empire to victory.
Brewseralliance snaps losing streak against Establishment.
The Brewsersalliance were left in a bit of a pickle by the Pakistani teams. Luckily for them, they had a fixture against Establishment; the most unluckiest team in the league. And how did it go? Well Brewsersalliance utterly destroyed Establishment and in doing so they snapped their 2 game losing streak with an emphatic triumph. Led by Kirk Cousins who was spot on and earned every bit of his 27 points the team looked too good to beat for a weak Establishment whose losing streak now lies at 2 games. The Baltimore defense also came up big against the Establishment and prevented them from scoring barely any points and scoring 40 points themselves. Look out League, Brewsersalliance are back.
ThorsHammer defeats Acme States in a shootout
The highest scoring game of the league and ThorsHammer came out on top in it. It doesn't get any better for a team. It was a match that few cared about but ended up being the show stealer and lived up to the moniker of "Battle of the Quaterbacks" that had been hyped for Rodgers vs Brady. Both QBs looked amazing and threw for 22+ points for their teams. It was a high scoring, fast paced good old styled shootout w/ defenses barely being able to keep pace w. offenses. However Thors defense had a bit more aggrresion than their counterparts at ACF and scored a big 41 points, enough to secure Thors' 2nd straight win. This game however pushes ACF's losing streak to 5 games.
HSST blows out Denver Dragons
Denver should change their name now as Dragons they are not. HSST were easily able to cake walk past Denver and blew them out in the process. HSST are finally back to winning ways with this notch in their belt. Although beating Denver to say the least; isn't a big deal at this point.
