this game mafia can talk during the day. Isoc says earlier in a post he wants to be the hammer and we all take it as a joke. then canik leaves the wagon, potentially clearing himself, while leaving a townie one vote away from a lynch. then a vote is placed by isoc just 30 min before deadline, hammering in the vote, but three hours after canik unvoted.

​When Mafia has day talk that doesn't mean they can talk to each other/make hints to each other publically. They can always do that. Mafia day talk means they can talk privately in an off-site chat channel where town can't see it. If me & iSoc were Mafia we'd use that to plan things we wouldn't be hinting in public. Me telling iSoc here's your chance to hammer was just me half-joking, half-calling him on his bluff. (didn't turn out to be a bluff tho, obviously)

I love TW's points, and I'll post my thoughts on it later tonight.

I want to see how solid Canik's backtracking is. Whether it's like, "meh, let's not lynch him no more" or "let's not lynch him and here's why". Whether his reason is valid.
Also I resent the implication I am in love with brewers and Frigid

My post about PR will save us. Is from day two, so I don't know where you were going with that. Saying it was combined with your reasoning behind d1. Atleast what I got from that read. As for my weak defense. You don't need a strong defense for a weak offense. Yes I was, a hammer vote. But the true hammer is the constant "iSoc was the hammer, OMG get him." Give me something else to defend.
I don't look too much into day 1 voting patterns this early of a game. I also don't buy it that your were hoping someone, such as myself, would use your backpedaling as a defense.
As for the dibs on the hammer, sorry you took it as a joke. I knew most day one lynches are normally inactive players, and that there will be a discussion, or distraction IMO. About if the replacement was scum. Also from experience, I know that replacement who are scum become an even more powerful player because of the grace given. KitKat and I have a fun mafia game all about that once. So I agree with Canik there, and I slightly will give him creed on being vocal about that.

​Well in that case no, just no. That plan would be far too risky, IMO, just to kill 1 inactive town. Plus even with day talk scum rarely, if ever (I've never seen it), come up with plans that complicated. Could be possible but very unlikely.

​Was it? Well, either way.. the fact that investigation roles exist did influence my decision. Whether I said anything about it D1 or not.

I said I expected (not hoped) someone to point it out and suspect me. Considering what I actually said, do you still not buy it? Because even as scum, I'd expect it to be pointed out. Which brings me back to the point that I wouldn't believe me unvoting would keep me under the radar.

Just read up (skimmed the longer stuff, sorry if I miss any details) but we do get information off the story from what I believe MK stated. So there is alot of gain tomorrow from night actions as well. Either way I haven't read up in enough detail to vote or FoS anyone but I'll try to get a solid opinion before days end

Trying to save iSocialism? Hardly. His two votes (one now) barely had him in danger. This was no desperate attempt to save iSocialism.. six days before the deadline..

If that's what this was why would I have posted it with so much time left in the day, Kevin? What good would it do to give the rest of the town so much time to analyze the post? I would have been better served posting this 2-3 days before deadline if I was trying to save a scum partner. I have no idea if iSoc is scum, mind you. I just picked up on Canik's flip flopping while re-reading the thread and wanted to make sure he was pressed on it and it was properly analyzed. Unless of course there is some reason why you don't want canik to come under the microscope..

And now I'll ask you, since you "don't buy it": other than the fact that I was the part of a townie lynch (which btw happens for dozens of townies in every single game, which I'm sure you know perfectly well), why is it less suspicious in your eyes for canik to act the way he did, flip flop at the last moment when GoldIron's lynch was practically a foregone conclusion and then immediately come out on day two against the four of us who were on the wagon? I'm sorry kevin, I don't see canik as any less suspicious just because he jumped off the wagon 3 hours early.

TW has seemed really defensive each time he has been accused now.   im still gonna stick with my initial thoughts/suspicions (that I detailed earlier ) that TW is scum, however, if if if TW ends up being lynched and is town, I would not be shocked if Canik ended up being scum. Basically what I am saying is IMO either TW is right, or TW is scum.  Still leaning towards scum

@TheWarrior - I have no problem with you pointing out my backpedal and laying some suspicion on me. Normally I'd give you some townie points for it and I do give some but.. they are at least partially cancelled out in my mind by how hard you came at me. It was a tad over-zealous if you ask me. You tried really hard to paint me as scum, you might as well have ended your post with a vote on me, but surely you know backpedalling doesn't necessarily = scum. Right?

I dunno. Maybe you're a legit town who just felt the pressure/suspicion of me needs to be waaayyy upped. Which it did, no one should be ignored. Everyone should be suspected. Even though I've been focusing on iSoc & the GoldIron wagon I'm very worried VGM or Robert, Rafay, etc are just chillin over there being scum and that I'm wrong. But, to me, it kinda felt like you weren't just trying to make people aware of something suspicious I did, you were trying to set up a kill.

Earlier in the day, my gut was telling me there was scum between The Warrior and Brewers. While I don't want to say I'm less sure of that now, I'm getting more positive vibes from Brewers at this point (I think).

 

The Warrior brings up good points about Canik in post #416. Canik starting the wagon and then jumping off in the 11th hour is interesting and then using that narrative to paint GoidIron's lynchers in a negative light is a red flag for sure. While I can see where Canik is coming from in some of his points, the backpedal is interesting to note. In fact, while Canik does seem scummy with the backpedal and throwing shade at the beginning of day 2, TW's narrative is just as interesting in creating a convincing story to try and lynch Canik.

 

Unless I misread something though, I don't know if I see how TW's post is an attempt to save isoc, so it seems Kevin is grasping at straws there. Please correct me if I'm wrong and did miss something though.

 

Something to note as well: Unless Frigid saw something in Canik's rebuttal (post #420), why would he unvote Canik? As of right now, Canik is in no danger of being lynched. Why not keep the pressure on him, even if you won't be around? If something puts Canik in a more positive light, the more active among us can switch our votes elsewhere.

And Canik, you're right. I have been uncharacteristically quiet compared to my last two games. While I'd like to say that I'm scum hiding in the shadows, this week has unfortunately messed with me quite a bit mentally. And if you'll notice, I've been very quiet in the Star Wars game as well. Which I'd like to apologize for my inactivity. I'm hoping after this weekend, my mind can clear up just a bit better.

 

OOC: Long story short, I'm going to a funeral tomorrow. The death is one that I've expected for a little while now, but doesn't exactly make it any easier. If for some reason, you don't believe me, you can ask Davidrbr as he requested an interview earlier this week oddly enough and I had to tell him right now was not a good time.

I assure you brewers that I will most definitely come up town when I am lynched/killed. "But, but that's what any scum would say!" That may be true but believe or not a townie might just say it to. If you don't believe me, you will on day 3. Simply defending yourself doesn't make you scum. And the reason for seeming defensive is because this all started over an ill-advised joke by KitKat. I was defensive because I knew it was a joke (because I know my role and because I know KitKat) and some of the newer players here (yourself included) latched onto it and developed an opinion of me partially based off of it. It's really hard to watch people make poor decisions based off of something so trivial.

@Canik - I came at you hard because of how much material you've given me. I didn't fabricate any of it. You gave it all to us and laid it in front of us. I was just the one who put it all together into the greater context for the town to see. I'm not even convinced you're scum yet. But I think that you have given me more to work off of than anyone else. And on more than one occasion on day 2 you posted basically demanding I go on offense and scum hunt. And now that I have actually had time to do so you don't like what I've unearthed. I'm not surprised.

So even if I end up being incorrectly lynched today, I'm at least going to give the town more to work with. I want to hear thoughts from Rafay, VGM, and SBG on everything. And anyone else who is town should to since they have been quiet. If you want to lynch me at day's end, go for it and I'll say I told you so in my day 3 "bah" post, but you're doing the entire town a disservice by not at least kicking everyone's tires.

My vote will be on Canik before day's end UNLESS we don't hear more from the group of three above.
