I've never trusted people that vote for theirselves, but I actually think Canik is just trying to get others out, there's more to this then just a drunk rant, I think Jester has some credence, so im not voting just yet

Besides Jester, another reason to self-vote is to make sure other power roles survive.
For now, I'm leaving my vote on Canik.
I don't see a strong alternative.
I don't want to reward a "tantrum". (Even the CDC agrees with this)
I disagree that a scum would never self-vote. It's a Wine In Front Of Me situation.

lol damn, it's hard to swallow, but yeah.. I seriously did have a bit of a mental breakdown these last few days and was throwing tantrums here. It's been a while since I got that bad and had about half a forum calling me out. Reminds me of some early days in FEAR, and I loved FEAR for it. Needed called out. (but thanks too to those who show a lil love and understanding, that's also needed) And I thank you all for doing the same. <3

but I believe your point is to show an example of how I could have probably recovered without much effort and it is a great example of that.

Seeing that relatively short list with some likely looking candidates on it I went back and looked through pages leading up to MK vote:

*LWW was on the MK wagon early and with commitment. Very town.

*Wolfpack joined the MK wagon early as well but later switched to Brewers, changing his mind and deciding Brewers was lying about the 50/50. Not as town as LWW, but I believe Wolfpack's stated motive for switching was probably genuine.

For what it's worth I will give what I remember from my quick look back. I'm not going to strain myself with it, which I think we can all agree is probably a good idea right now. Not to mention I'm probably still about to be lynched either way.

*The Warrior - from what I saw, actually rather suspicious. he sort of corrects Rafay and I think MK once or twice. when they say nonsensical things he is of course like, "yeah I don't get why Rafay would think that either" (when Rafay said 50/50 made the choice harder).. only after MK was pretty well screwed I saw TW start to hit harder.

*Robert - was on the fence some, gave some serious consideration to AbT. Only saw a comment that suggested a lack of concern for MK when a few votes were on. Only said he planned to vote for MK near the end.

*Tony - when he made his first "MK distraction play" comment, indeed it was before MK was mod-killed, but it was also going south for MK.

*CaptainJ - no offense CaptainJ, it's understandable because you are new, but all I remember is noob questions.. not sure I saw/remember them all tho.

Its very true I was on the Fence. We had just lynched MK in the other game. Me lynching him also in this game seemed to like I was bullying. But if the theme of these games is to just vote bad behaviors and so far its working. Now I can Dive more into this game now that the brain tease of the other game is over. I'm mainly Neutral and don't even have a theory yet. But my policy still stands.

so as I was doing the vote count for velocity, something jumped out at me and kind of bothered me.  4 of the 5 people voting Canik have provided a reason for their vote (even if I dont like Roberts reason, it was still a reason).

Not sure your point Brewers on Torres. That is kind of of his thing. He plays that way on purpose. Is it a good look? No. Is it something that reflects directly upon him? Yes. Do I find his move scummy? Policy yes, knowing his behavior no. 

 

Why don't you like my reason? Cause I spoke my mind that I Heavily dislike Self Voting and feel it has no place in Mafia? That sucks. It must also suck I don't plan on changing my opinion on it.

On the verge of sounding like a broken record here, but all Canik's posts did for me was confuse me with a ton of drama. I found it hard to decipher and that could just me not understanding the intent or perhaps it was the intention and worked flawlessly. As for Torres, I don't know their play style, so I have to take someone else's word for it. The act seems scummy without any other perspective though.

 

Just for the sake of getting more discussion out there: Brewer and Canik, can you elaborate more on your votes for Robert?

 

And KevinH, I notice you left yourself off the list?

You shouldn't put someone to L-1 for shits and giggles 4 days before deadline.

You need to pay attention to what's going on.
And just because that's "torres being torres" doesn't mean he should do it nor should it be acceptable

So I guess we should just give Rafay a pass on how he plays them too because that's kind of his thing?

I voted for robert for a couple reasons

1) u need more votes on people for more discussion and to learn things

2) I don't like his reasoning. I think he was the 4th vote on canik which put him in line for the deadline lynch and his "reasoning" is that he doesn't like self votes? So just because you don't like that playstyle u feel he should be lynched? Robert never said he thinks canik might be scum. All he said was he doesn't like it. So he seems content with canik dying and having no regard for canik's alignment. Irs not like canik is historically detrimental to the town with his playstyle. So a "policy Lynch" on him is ridiculous imo. Plus if Robert is scum he has a perfect excuse for why he was on the wagon without really sticking his neck out there with theories. He just keeps claiming he doesn't like it and doesn't allow it in his games. It's a great excuse for him to vote someone without actually commiting to saying he thinks that person is scum

Hypothetically ...

 

There are 2 wagons near the end of the day

• one on me, a JOAT who has used up his shots and knows that Player B has a townie power role
• one on Player B, who unsuccessfully argued his case

It would be in the best interests of the town if I self-voted and took myself out of the game so Player B will live another day and use his power role.

 

(I don't think that was Canik's motive in this game)
