That's absurd. According to you, two people can't shake hands, work together, or agree on anything, without socialism.

 

That is a stretch. Almost everything I mentioned is funded by tax dollars and not privately owned (Unions aren't funded by tax dollars but I believe we both agree those are socialist).

You seem to have the misconception that anything government does is socialism.

 

From an economic aspect a lot of programs are Socialist. There can be an argument said that social programs are not Socialism. That said almost everything I listed has been complained about and called Socialist by Republican members of Government and/or pundits. 

 

You also seem to have the misconception that the USA is a Democracy... it is a Constitutional Republic.

 

Where did I mention Democracy?

 

The only power the Federal Government has over the States was granted to it through the Constitution.  The States can take that power away at any time... let's have a Constitutional Convention and see how things change.

The Kennedy family is by and far more popular to the left side. Republicans only are welcoming the news for the exact reason stated above; he's a third-party that will primarily steal votes that would otherwise be for the Democratic candidate. Whether that's 5% or 50% is irrelevant because votes are votes. In swing states even a 2- or 3-percent margin will easily give the state to the Republican nominee, and those battlegrounds are where the election is won.

 

It is true though, we're basically screwed both ways at the going rate. Most people have been conditioned by their respective sides to be completely intolerant of anything that isn't their beliefs, and in a country that's supposed to allow free expression of those beliefs that is leading to just more and more unnecessary hatred.

The amount of praise for a family name only solidifies what the Republican party has become, only Trump or bust. RFK Jr. ongoing comments also place him closer to moderate Republicans then right-win Democrats.

 

Heck, how much voting population was even alive when a Kennedy was in the power, let alone of voting age. You'd have more luck trotting up a Clinton named individual to split the Dem vote.
