Fight or Flight is a 7 player Open Setup with each player being given a 1-Shot Commute and a 1-Shot Vig kill - there is no factional nightkill for scum and no other roles.

Setup

Mechanics

  • This setup uses a Daystart
  • Each player, town and mafia alike, has a 1-Shot Commute and 1-Shot Vigilante kill.
  • There is no factional mafia kill.
  • A player can choose to do no action at night if they wish.
  • Mafia win endgame situations where they control 50% of the town AND the town has no vig-shots left.

Additional Rules

  • Game days will last 1 week.
  • If a player gets a majority of votes, he (or she) is immediately lynched and the day ends.
  • At deadline, the player with the most votes will be lynched. Ties will be broken randomly.
  • No-lynch is only an option on the first game day.

Players

  • Chaplain of death
  • Imran Ehsan

Been a while since I've went to bat at one of these games. Already looks like a really interesting setup!

The differance between IRON and some rag tag alliance is the fact that we will fight with no reguard to our own nations. Putting the greater good of the whole before ourselves. Victory for all or they will have to fight us to the last point of infa in the last IRON nation. Every so often someone(s) will come around and exemplifie this. Living up to the IRON Values. It gives me great pleaser to baptize three of IRON's up and comers.

Same. I think the only time I've ever done a setup similar was where there was no night and everyone had a one shot during the day power iirc.

Also, Imran mafia two games in a row?

Definitely an odd setup. Barring some very strange sequence of events that leads to a suspect, I'll be voting no lynch for day 1, but no sense trying to end the day too early.

So chances of me being scum three games in a row are phenomonally low.

I have been wondering what the best strategy should be for towns here. Scum cant so factional kills at night so they have only 2 vig kills at their disposal. So they will depend on mislynches and townies misfiring their vig kills to win. I am gonna say scum will at most use one vig kill on N1, or they may actually do nothing and sit back and see the townies shoot each other off before picking off the survivors in N2. So we need to have more townies going into N1, which means no lynch is the best option.

I definitely agree that I don't see more than one mafia kill being used tonight, if they even kill at all. What I'm wondering is, how bloody will night 1 be? I imagine there's going to be at least one if not two shots fired, whether because mafia wants to get one kill off or because someone (or multiple someones) happens to be trigger happy.

What's also curious is, how many people are going to commute night 1, if any? Do they guarantee their own safety for one night or try to hold out?

I could see this game either being fairly short or going a bit long. Depends how bloodthirsty folks are or if the night actions end up being a game of cat and mouse. There's also the possibility (no matter how slim) that everyone runs out of night actions and it all comes down to the lynch.

Question for Kevin:

Is there a deadline for night actions or will it become day once everyone submits an action? If the latter, how will it be handled if we all run out of night actions?

Clarifying question on the Commute-

a player can commute once per game or multiple times?

Its one-time action, once you use it you lose it.

If no lynch on day 1, I would expect a double kill from mafia on night 1 as there aren't any leads to follow. That's why its important to lynch on day 1, so at the very least we can try to piece together motives for night 1 kills. I'm usually on the side of no lynch, but dual kills on night 1 after a no lynch puts town at mylo with nothing to go on.

Although, thinking about this again.

A mislynch on Day 1 and double kill on night 1 would be game over right?

So maybe it is better to no lynch on day 1?

It wouldn't be game over and the kills would have to succeed. If they did, as town still has even votes and ties are broken at random, we have a chance there as well as with towns own vig abilities if they haven't been used.
