Plane Crash II - Game Thread - GAME OVER!

Another day, another plane. Captain "Anger-Management" Tilden (As he was known secretly by the crew) had always been proud of how he handled the flights on his plane. Always smooth, orderly, and comfortable for the passengers. And he intended to keep it that way, he reflected, carrying his bags through the airport terminal. Today's flight was to be a tedious one over the atlantic. But never mind.

Got to keep alert, he mused as his bags went through a scanner. Terrorists were everywhere these days. The takeoff was, as always, impeccable. The passengers seemed fairly happy, apart from that hungover one complaining about the lack of painkillers, and Tilden settled himself down for a smooth flight.

A few hours into the flight, the door to the cockpit was nudged open, breaking the silence. Tilden stiffened. It was probably that flight attendant. It was no secret amongst the crew that Tilden had a thing for her. But he didn't care. He wasn't about to ruin his chances by shouting again.

"Ah, Marie, could you-"

That was as far as he got. Looking at the reflection in the window, he saw a man in plain clothes. A passenger? He was striding up to Tilden with purpose. Tilden's eyes widened as he saw the flash of a blade. He opened his mouth to speak, but couldn't. A knife was swiftly drawn across his throat. He choked, swiftly passing into unconsciousness.

And yet no-one noticed the 2 dead pilots in the cockpit. Marie, the flight attendant, was about halfway through serving drinks. She glanced to the left, flashed a fake smile to the passenger before seeing he was unconscious.

She sighed, and rolled her eyes, recognising the passenger as the one with the hangover. She was about to turn away, when something caught her eye. Had he spilt coffee on himself? She sighed again, reaching for some napkins.

Wait. That wasn't coffee.

She screamed, noticing the blood spread out over the man's torso. The passenger's heads turned round to look at her. The man's pocket identified him as a Police officer.

It was happening again...

true. course since i didnt really suspect anyone anyway it doesnt make a difference in my case. :P

i think i do understand where junk was going with this though. i mean why is it different from having a person on the lynching block per se say who he thinks is scum etc.? why is it different from CD asking me earlier who i suspected? in all these cases we are giving mafia information on who to kill/not to kill in order to frame someone else etc. so why post suspects anyway?

Well, normally when someone posts that he suspects someone, he is going to give a reasoning as well. We can then judge the reasoning the next day and determine if we are going to follow it. In this case, however, people were randomly throwing out names of who they would suspect more. I don't think that is useful to the town and I could see how it would help the mafia. That is why I thought it to be a bad idea.

Publishing a suspects list is good for the town if accompanied with sound reasoning. Random suspicions is not good. So it's ok if someone says who they suspect in their room only if they have a good reason to suspect that person.

I'm feeling good in my room as I don't have any reason to suspect Narsis or KevinH that much, although I'm putting Narsis more on the sure townie list for the same reasons as CD's.

I didn't say people would or should have sound reasoning on D1 already. I'm just saying if anyone wants to post a suspect list, there should be at least some reasoning behind the suspicion. And yes I agree with what you said KevinH on the last part too.

precisely the answer i was looking for.

I'm pretty sure we'll be lynching by the end of the day so stay active.

Yep, I'm back after a busy weekend and all caught up.

I figure we can all take part in an examination of the survivors in the killing room after the fact. If you are really concerned about someone, its never terribad to tell us what you think of course but, when the pool of suspects per room gets so shallow things change. In the end though, the scum are taking a risk killing weather or not the victim has tipped them off. They are going down in two turns no matter what with a 50% chance of going down that next day. If they are going to kill I don't think the opinion of the victim prior to is going to be a huge break for them.

it will no be a huge break tomorrow, but it may prove to be one in the days after this. though now that i said this too, ignore my suggestion altogether.

No worries.

I didn't think it to be such a bad suggestion anyways.

With that...I believe Martino is to vote for crazyemolad to wrap D1 up.

Or MOD could just end the day since it's already DEADLINE day.

I think we may as well end the day now.

With 13 alive, it takes 7 to lynch.

Near the end of the day, crazyemolad grows oddly quiet. Neither the prodding of the players nor of the aircraft's turbulence could turn him away from his quiet, solemn-looking thoughts. The passengers threw him the occasional glance as they discussed where they would spend the night. Eventually, the players started to turn against the quiet man. When he said not a word to defend himself, the players started to round on him. What if it was a clever ruse? They had to do something, right?

In the end it was Narsis, whom in the lack of a weapon, took a small glass bottle of spirits and smashed it over crazyemolad's head. The lynch mob turned on the hapless passenger, punching and kicking in their spite, whilst the remaining passengers held back, a little nervously, over what their fellow passengers had been turned into.

A search of the man's body revealed nothing untoward.

Now all the passengers had to do was to decide where to spend the night.

crazyemolad, TOWNIE, has been lynched.

It is now DUSK. Players have 48 hours from now to post in which room they will spend the night.

I was going to take care of this when I got out of class as well. I'm glad we waited until the last day however.

Big surprise that crazyemolad was a townie

It had to be done. I think most of us would agree. However, it is a disadvantage and an unfortunate problem.

With that MOVE: Room 8. Glad to be here with you gentlemen.

Room 1 = Sir Jesus, Firkked, junkahoolic
