Plane Crash II - Game Thread - GAME OVER!

Another day, another plane. Captain "Anger-Management" Tilden (As he was known secretly by the crew) had always been proud of how he handled the flights on his plane. Always smooth, orderly, and comfortable for the passengers. And he intended to keep it that way, he reflected, carrying his bags through the airport terminal. Today's flight was to be a tedious one over the atlantic. But never mind.

Got to keep alert, he mused as his bags went through a scanner. Terrorists were everywhere these days. The takeoff was, as always, impeccable. The passengers seemed fairly happy, apart from that hungover one complaining about the lack of painkillers, and Tilden settled himself down for a smooth flight.

A few hours into the flight, the door to the cockpit was nudged open, breaking the silence. Tilden stiffened. It was probably that flight attendant. It was no secret amongst the crew that Tilden had a thing for her. But he didn't care. He wasn't about to ruin his chances by shouting again.

"Ah, Marie, could you-"

That was as far as he got. Looking at the reflection in the window, he saw a man in plain clothes. A passenger? He was striding up to Tilden with purpose. Tilden's eyes widened as he saw the flash of a blade. He opened his mouth to speak, but couldn't. A knife was swiftly drawn across his throat. He choked, swiftly passing into unconsciousness.

And yet no-one noticed the 2 dead pilots in the cockpit. Marie, the flight attendant, was about halfway through serving drinks. She glanced to the left, flashed a fake smile to the passenger before seeing he was unconscious.

She sighed, and rolled her eyes, recognising the passenger as the one with the hangover. She was about to turn away, when something caught her eye. Had he spilt coffee on himself? She sighed again, reaching for some napkins.

Wait. That wasn't coffee.

She screamed, noticing the blood spread out over the man's torso. The passenger's heads turned round to look at her. The man's pocket identified him as a Police officer.

It was happening again...

If today is lynch or lose, the cop needs to role claim immediately! Tell us everything you know, who've you investigated and everything! Narsis, start talking!

I take issue with this as well. The cop, I think, should withhold information until he knows we are making a sure mistake at lynch time. Of course, this is at his digression but, there is no reason to out yourself unless it needs to happen. The less the cop is a target the better. It seems at this point that the cop might be the only townie with a really good lead. Although SinKon seems faulty on what he asks the town to do on multiple occasions, it doesn't seem to me that he is doing so maliciously. I've said that before, but its really starting to add up. I'm not sure anymore if posts like this are not thought through or really trying to get townie roles to make a quick unconsidered decision.

I didn't really think that Sir Jesus would get lynched when I put down that first vote for him. In fact, thats one of the reasons I didn't vote for SinKon. I didn't want to vote for someone that close to getting lynched because I wasn't convinced enough of anyone. I had my reasons, sure, but, I didn't think five more votes would fall in behind me that quickly. I do think its strange SinKon has been the one to drop two hammer votes for townies thus far. I think it follows from his brash and upfront play style that if he were a mafia he would have no qualms about trading quick results (lynching townies) for drawing suspicion.

SinKon has been a close second to getting lynched all three days. We've heard ample cases against him and at this point I wouldn't be as shy about lynching him save one thing. CannucksDynasty, there was a post you made in his defense. At the time this was most convincing for me because you had spent the prior two days voting for him. Could you reiterate you defense again? Make it clear exactly why you find SinKon to surely be townie.

For the time being then, FOS: SinKon.

@Martino

I do not see why I get all these FOSs, if today is lynch or lose, we will lose if we don't lynch a mafia. What is the point of having a cop is he is not going to do anything? About Narsis, I said before that we should test him immediately after he sorta "roleclaim" but NO... you have to point at me, now we are not absolutely sure if he is the cop! Just watch, if we get another role claim today, we have to play "if the price is right" on deciding who is the cop. Today is lynch or lose! WE HAVE TO LYNCH A MAFIA TODAY! If the cop investigated someone and found a mafia, he should tell us and even if he found townie, he should tell us now since it is lynch or lose, we could narrow it down. AND if the cop role claim and is not Narsis, then we will know he is a mafia. All these wouldn't have happend if we tested Narsis yesterday!

@Aquinas

How am I suppose to know that a vote could be a "No I-do-not-mean-to-lynch-you-vote" for me a vote is a vote and that means I want to lynch you. About the cop, fine talk it over and vote to see who wants him to role claim. Just remember that if we don't lynch a mafia today, we lose. What is the point of protecting the cop if he keeps his mouth shut now? WE NEED HIM NOW! IT IS LYNCH OR LOSE!!!

Aquinas, please do not tell me, you did not mean to lynch Sir Jesus and that you did not mean to put that FOS on me because you did. Yes, I am sorry about Sir Jesus, is my first game but I vote what I mean and I mean every vote! That again is: I want to lynch you. If I put a vote on you, that means I want to lynch you. I am pretty sure that is what it means. I just didn't know that you could milk information out before a lynch...

Look, there is nothing to worry about Mr. cop! Today is lynch or lose, if you don't roleclaim, we all die! If you role calim and tell us everything, you will be protected, and live for at least one night because the doctor will protect you. It is lynch or lose. SO SAY SOMETHING!!!!

If Narsis is the cop, he will only have had 1 valid investigation since he says he has been roleblocked the night before and yesterday. My worry is Narsis might not even be a cop, a mafia or a doctor. That's why it puzzles me why he wasn't killed.

If Narsis isn't the cop, then the real cop should follow what Martino pointed out. I approve following his suggestion as it looks very safe for the cop to guide the town.

At the time...Falzis got 3 votes. Then all of a sudden SinKon got 4 votes without so much of a reason from some. I thought that was suspicious enough to get me to dig deeper. I looked at the past vote counts and thought that cuz he was so close to being lynched on D1 and D2 that mafia wouldn't have voted for their own so early in the game. And on D3 he was on the chopping block again. Thus the number of people voting didn't match up to how many townies were left in the game . Therefore I thought he was a townie. I erred in thinking that mafia would not have voted for their own (if SinKon was a mafia).

I did, in fact mean to vote for Sir Jesus. I meant to convey that I did not think there would be such a strong following that he would eventually get lynched. I meant to vote for him, I suspected him of being mafia but, at the time however, I did not think there was enough communal suspicion of Sir Jesus that he would be the one to get lynched. When I voted for him I intended to vote for him knowing what it could mean although I did not think it would come to fruition. I did not, in the least place a "No I-do-not-mean-to-lynch-you-vote". Please, excuse me for suggesting something of the sort if that is indeed what I suggested.

I am a little unclear: Are you now suggesting that SinKon is or is not scum? How confident are you in your quoted reasoning? How definite do you believe the quoted reasoning to be?

Actually I think it's time for the cop to roleclaim and reveal his findings.

IF THERE IS 3 MAFIA...

1. Today may be lynch or lose.

2. It only takes 2 wrong townie votes for 3 mafia to pile on (making it their win)

3. It'll narrow down the mafia suspect list down to 4-6 (if Narsis is not cop...if Narsis is cop)

On D1 and D2 ... I thought he was scum and voted accordingly.

On D3 ... I thought he was being bandwagoned and thought he was town.

At this point...I don't know.

I think there are serious alternatives to this list we should consider before implementing it.

What if we all constructed a new format for voting in a 'prospective vote: aquinas' style. This way we can say who we would vote for on the final day without locking it in officially for the scum to manipulate. I know we're in our last game day but, it seems like putting all our cards on the table just yet is unwise...

I promise to be more active soon. I have some hunches but it will require me to sort through a lot of posts and voting patterns and now is just not the time to do it. Hopefully within the next day or so.

No rash voting, we don't want scum doggie piling.

Ok wait a few days...I doubt much will change from now til then anyways.

What really baffles me is that Kaziocore was nk'd.

Why him and not one of the veterans (Martino, me, EM, Narsis)?

facepalm X 1000

Today is lynch or lose right? Then the cop needs to roleclaim!

If we miss, WE ALL DIE!

We are going round and round but we needs the cop's information.

We would've know for certain if Narsis is the cop if you guys listened to me and test him out immediately after he roleclaimed. We wouldn't be in this mess because there must be a doctor. If there is a roleblocker, there is a doctor!

Mr. Cop! if you are not Narsis, that will make it easy. WE WILL LYNCH NARSIS!

NARSIS, if you are the cop, START TALKING!!!

WE HAVE A DOCTOR! DON'T WORRY!

SinKon:

first, i would be one of the stupidest cops to roleclaim now with any info.

second, i'm really surprised that the vets werent killed. i do have a hunch though:

if they think i'm the cop...and they assume that there is a doc...isnt the traditional mafia plan to rb the cop and nk the person you think to be the doc?

C9 games have been made into F11 games. It doesn't mean there's a role blocker that there's a doctor.

agreed. but it is still likely that some form of protown powerrole exists.

why?

this is a closed game; it is not a semi-open. the reason that such is chosen at random in a semi-open is to prevent 100% guess of the set-up by knowing just one power role. however, we could never have a 100% guess in a closed set-up. so it begs the question: are there any protown power roles? my guess is at least one. however it is likely that none exist(considering the items).

still mafia dont know that either...so if they suspect a power role...then they are going to play accordingly.

Yeah I agree as well.

Anyway, something is bugging me from your post. ITEMS. Yes. No one has confirmed they got an item. Do they even exist? Coz I sure as heck didn't get any... and I'm thinking you, Narsis, got one based from the implicit or implied logic of your post.

Day1

Room 1 = Sir Jesus, Firkked, junkahoolic

Room 4 = Electric Mango, AoD/SinKon, Kaziocore

Room 7 = Falzis, Narsis, KevinH

Room 8 = CanucksDynasty, Aquinas, Martino

Day2

Room 2 = Sir Jesus, Firkked

Room 3 = Electric Mango, AoD/SinKon, Kaziocore

Room 6 = CanucksDynasty, Aquinas, Martino

Room 9 = Falzis, Narsis, KevinH :axehead:

Day3

Room 1 =Narsis

Room 2 =Falzis

Room 3 =Electric Mango

Room 4 =Martino

Room 6 =SinKon

Room 7 =CanucksDynasty

Room 8 =Aquinas

Room 9 =Kaziocore :axehead:

I just like to point out that 2 people got killed in room 9.

I still suspect Sinkon and now I suspect Narsis, just because things are still hazy from his side. I believe Samus (or his role inherited from Firkked and might be passed on to someone else) is townie.

I'm undecided with the others.

Actually I think it's time for the cop to roleclaim and reveal his findings.

What would be the advantage of the cop roleclaiming over my strategy?

@EM/Narsis/Falzis/Samus/SinKon - who do you suspect?

This. Though I'd like to add CD himself to that list

If we want to discuss who we want to lynch, give the cop a chance to prevent a mislynch and still have some time to discuss an alternative, we need to increase our activity. If you had to vote right now, who would you vote and why?

@Falzis: Why do you think Samus is a townie?

Mainly because the role is inactive... in almost all games I've played roles that become inactive are usually vanilla roles. Plus Firkked was a pretty reasonable townie with his strategies and posts.

Ok I'll go first.

QUASIVUT (not spelling it as vote :P) : SinKon

What would be the advantage of the cop roleclaiming over my strategy?

Cuz we stop pussy footing around and start focusing in what's left.

I don't know about the rest of you but playing a mafia game that lasts 3 months is not really fun.

This. Though I'd like to add CD himself to that list

@Falzis: Why do you think Samus is a townie?

FOS: Martino and EM.

The only veteran killed was KevinH. So I'm thinking that one or two of the veterans are mafia. No real hard evidence to support my theory but it's just my gut feeling.

I think there are veterans out there who are mafia.

I have good feelings from CD being townie for now.

I'm suspicious of Martino only because he's a vet and a crafty player and doesn't have any stand out townie moves IMO.

Narsis, I'm not sure on, he seems townie but maybe he's tricking us.

If I voted right now it would probably be for Martino but I will review more later
