Plane Crash II - Game Thread - GAME OVER!

Another day, another plane. Captain "Anger-Management" Tilden (As he was known secretly by the crew) had always been proud of how he handled the flights on his plane. Always smooth, orderly, and comfortable for the passengers. And he intended to keep it that way, he reflected, carrying his bags through the airport terminal. Today's flight was to be a tedious one over the atlantic. But never mind.

Got to keep alert, he mused as his bags went through a scanner. Terrorists were everywhere these days. The takeoff was, as always, impeccable. The passengers seemed fairly happy, apart from that hungover one complaining about the lack of painkillers, and Tilden settled himself down for a smooth flight.

A few hours into the flight, the door to the cockpit was nudged open, breaking the silence. Tilden stiffened. It was probably that flight attendant. It was no secret amongst the crew that Tilden had a thing for her. But he didn't care. He wasn't about to ruin his chances by shouting again.

"Ah, Marie, could you-"

That was as far as he got. Looking at the reflection in the window, he saw a man in plain clothes. A passenger? He was striding up to Tilden with purpose. Tilden's eyes widened as he saw the flash of a blade. He opened his mouth to speak, but couldn't. A knife was swiftly drawn across his throat. He choked, swiftly passing into unconsciousness.

And yet no-one noticed the 2 dead pilots in the cockpit. Marie, the flight attendant, was about halfway through serving drinks. She glanced to the left, flashed a fake smile to the passenger before seeing he was unconscious.

She sighed, and rolled her eyes, recognising the passenger as the one with the hangover. She was about to turn away, when something caught her eye. Had he spilt coffee on himself? She sighed again, reaching for some napkins.

Wait. That wasn't coffee.

She screamed, noticing the blood spread out over the man's torso. The passenger's heads turned round to look at her. The man's pocket identified him as a Police officer.

It was happening again...

Aquinas and Martino are not the cop cuz I'm a vanilla townie (and they would have had all the time to investigate their roommates).

EM and SinKon are not the cop since SinKon wants the cop to roleclaim and EM wasn't really vocal on protecting SinKon from a D3 lynch.

Samus is not the cop since he did nothing to prevent SJ from being lynched.

Falzis is not the cop since he is still wary of Narsis and would have ample time to have investigated him by now.

So really...Narsis must be the cop (provided we actually had a cop role in the first place) especially since he's been roleblocked.

IF Narsis is not the cop...then it's quite possible that townies have no power roles and the items picked up are to make up for that fact.

and assuming that is the case it would be best if we knew what all these items were correct?

True...but I hardly believe that I was the only one to pick up an item.

I still don't understand the benefit of your role claim of an item than can prevent night kills. Going into tonight you still could have been targeted as a night kill. If we lynch a townie than the nk would be lynch or lose, and you had a chance of stopping it.

I don't see why you would say that if you were really pro town

It's LYLO....what part of that don't you understand?

I never had a chance of stopping the nk in the first place.

I could detect but not prevent.

The item has a "passive" ability...means I don't get to choose.

That's why I came out to tell everyone what I had.

Going into the night with a mis-lynch would still mean game over unless townies get really lucky.

That's why I'm putting out the info for the town.

So they can make the best decision to lynch mafia.

I mean I got the item on N1.

It's a passive item...meaning it will work if conditions are met.

In order for it to work...mafia had to target me since I'm just a vanilla townie.

So I kept it quiet hoping for them to night kill me.

That didn't happen.

So you picked up an item that will detect when you are dead? We already have that, it's called the death scene and Mole writes it. What good is this item?

was wondering that myself...

So you picked up an item that will detect when you are dead? We already have that, it's called the death scene and Mole writes it. What good is this item?

You are putting words into my mouth.

I said I could detect but not prevent.

If was killed...then the mafia person who killed me would be revealed.

The death scene only reveals that I am dead.

So if you died, we would know who killed you?
So if you died, we would know who killed you?

Correct.

It's not an all-powerful item but has it's uses.

But if we lynch a scum today, tonight will not be lynch or lose. Your item still has value, why would you waste a great opportunity like that?

That's only if we lynch mafia.

IF we didn't... then the item has no value.

See what I did thar?

Since KevinH got nk...I thought I had a 1/3 chance of being nk next (ie. Martino, CD, EM).

Instead Kazio got nk'd.

Well I assume that we would try to win every game of mafia, this one included. That's why we try to do every thing we can to win. You found an item. It tells us who the mafia is if you're killed. So you're basically saying, meh, I'll give up that chance. This doesn't make any sense to me. You claiming you had this item helps does not help the town. You giving up the chance to use it does.

Your reasoning just does not make sense.

EVERTYHING WE CAN DO TO WIN!!!

That's the reason I put that info for the town to see.

So that they can best make an informed decision.

To reduce the odds so that we have a better % at lynching mafia.

I had a 1/5 chance of being nk'd.

What's the likelyhood of that happenening after I defended SinKon from a possible lynch on D3?

How does it help us make a more informed decision? Assuming for a moment that you are a townie, how will the information that you claim to have an item that could have helped us had you not made it public knowledge help us lynch mafia?

To reduce the odds so that we have a better % at lynching mafia.

Reduce what odds? Do you think we should give you a free pass simply because you claim to have found an item?

I had a 1/5 chance of being nk'd.

Which you reduced to zero by coming clear about your item the way you did. I still fail to understand why you would play it the way you did if you are a townie.

What's the likelyhood of that happenening after I defended SinKon from a possible lynch on D3?
Actually, that depends on the alignment of SinKon. If SinKon is a townie, I see no reason why you would not get nightkilled after defending him. If on the other hand he is scum, I could see why he would not want to NK you. However, you are stating this as if there was no chance of you getting nightkilled after defending SinKon. Which implies that you know SinKon to be scum. Which means that you are either the cop or scum. Since you are not voting for SinKon and because your claims do not seem to indicate that you are the cop, I think you are scum together with SinKon.

8. SinKon

9. Falzis

11. Aquinas

12. CanucksDynasty

13. Martino

Sinkon and CD are more or less clearly tied now in terms of association. EM and Martino are on the opposite side of the fence of CD and also associated because of attacking CD's logic.

It's either EM and Martino are scum or CD is scum. EM is more townie for me so I would say Martino is as well, and CD is more scummy. Therefore, Sinkon is more scummy (since he was already scummy to me way way before).

If CD is scum, his buddies should be defending him. No one has been defending CD. But that could be because Sinkon is nowhere to be found. As for another one, I am slightly at lost who the third scum could be.

Aquinas has also been critical of CD while Narsis hasn't been critical nor supportive of CD. But I would suspect Narsis more than Aquinas because of reasons past (such as the role claim that wasn't a role claim).

Therefore for me, the three most likely possible candidates for scum are Sinkon, CD and Narsis.

I would like others to give their three likely scum candidates too.

I still give EM townie points for spotting the inactive crazyemolad.

I still give Narsis townie points for coming up with the game-breaker plan that recalled rule #5.1 (movement restrictions).

I give Samus and SinKon a break since both were roles that were replaced.

I don't think AoD or Firkked would have given up a plum juicy mafia role.

At this point...I would suspect Martino, Aquinas, and Falzis as the 3 scum candidates.

All 3 haven't been really active in scum-hunting.

Also Falzis lumps Narsis as a possible scum eventhough Narsis came up with the D1 townie strategy.

To all who think I am scum...why o why would I kill Kaziocore??

He defended SinKon as well.

IF I was mafia in league with SinKon...why would I nk a townie that believed SinKon was townie????

IF I was mafia...I would have targeted Martino or EM (cuz they are veterans).

IF I was mafia in league with SinKon...why would I kill Kaziocore (a townie) that believed SinKon was townie????

Alright, I did not want to do this unless it was necessary. I think under the circumstances it is. We have two very strong opinions against someone I know to be a townie if my familiarity with the mechanics is correct. I am weary of both Martino and Electric Mango's SFOS and it seems like people are getting ready to vote. With the current situation lynching a townie makes us loose so, exposing what seems to be the closest thing to a cop role seems to me like it is a must do.

Spending the night before last all cramped up in my room I happened to role over onto a monocle. Experimenting with the device I realized that I could better track the whereabouts of specific individuals if I concentrated real hard on my surroundings. I am able to use the monocle to track and individual in my room as well as the rooms adjacent to mine. Last night, I decided to pay extra close attention to CanucksDynasty. Why him? I kept CanucksDynasty in my monocle because game after game I find myself trusting him which is a bad habit because he is a serious veteran player that could easily deceive me. I did not assume that he was scum at this point but, at the time I was lost for leads so following CanucksDynasty I was hoping to confirm my trust in someone. I believe I did just that. Unfortunately last night we lost a good man, Kaziocore. Fortunately, he was killed in a room right next to me. He spent his last moments in the cockpit as I stayed awake all night in a room on the left side of the plane just outside the cockpit. During the night, with my power to squint real hard into a circular piece of glass I did not see CanucksDynasty in the room. Another unfortunate fact, because I need to squint so hard looking for one person I was unable to see who actually killed Kaziocore.

I hope I am able to drop suspicion on CanucksDynasty with this information. I find him to be an excellent player, one whose posts I enjoy above most others. Also, throughout this flight I have found him to be a generally trustworthy passenger. I am disappointing he has taken up a liking to his caps lock button and lost his cool but, I can understand his frustration.

Martino and Electric Mango, I think its time you look elsewhere and I hope CanucksDynasty (a much better scum detector than myself) can lead our fellow innocent members of this flight to kill the scum who survived the crash with us. I will do what I can with my monocle tonight as I safely tucked it away during the crash. However, unless someone happened to find a first aid kit in the cargo hold I feel relatively vulnerable. I wish I had stumbled upon this piece sooner I find it to be quite exquisite.

I challenged Electric Mango recently to wake from his slumber recently and show us some of the skill he played with in previous encounters. He has done just that. Its a shame that it seems to me his efforts have focused on a friendly passenger. As of yet I am unsure whether to cite this as circumstance of CanucksDynasty's recent behavior which I admit is less than passive or because he was intentionally trying to mislead us. I am more critical of Martino. I believe Martino has been hiding more than Electric Mango recently. Martino creeps out from between the seats of our airliner now after we have crash landed hoping to have some kind of sway. I am concerned that he has only shown himself now to dominate the island and take terrorist supremacy of the land. I will review his voting record as well as that of Electric Mango and see what I can find. I implore CanucksDynasty to do the same as well as our other innocent survivors. Good luck gentlemen, lets not give in just yet.

((Also...SinKon was killed just recently in this other game. It feels strange to use this as evidence in out current game. MOD: Should I know better than to bring up events in the other game as evidence in this one?))
