We're working blind here. The question is what is a more reasonable assumption. I'm leaning towards that mafia can move anywhere and because of this will most probably night kill next as aforementioned by EM, Narsis and Martino. Maybe our strategy of room division was perfect to the point of game-breaking.

I'm still very curious to the items thing and whether it's true. I don't know how mole makes that happen, whether it's random by room each night and randomly picked up. If anyone got any item and it's advantageous to tell us, I hope someone steps forward. I would like to know what kind of items there are and if at all they're important to the game.

The 'Mole finally gets off his arse and does a vote count' VOTE COUNT
junkahoolik (1): Martino

Not Voting (11): Narsis, Junkahoolik, Electric Mango, KevinH, Firkked, Sir Jesus, angel of doom, Falzis, Kaziocore, Aquinas, CanucksDynasty

I think not necessarily they can move anywhere but maybe they can now move two rooms now but nonetheless they'll really use their night kill now.

And I don't know about my roommates but I haven't received an item in my room.

I didn't find anything in my room either.

The distance limitation removal benefits the mafia as our previous strategy was "game breaking" as noted above. It doesn't matter if it is now 2 rooms or unlimited, our strategy was only effective when movement was limited to 1 room only (eg even with a 2 room limitation we'd have to stack people into rooms 1 and 9 only, making the limitations on catching scum very ineffective; more range further exacerbates this problem)

I'm thinking a max spread is now more ideal if and only if for the sake of getting items, assuming the items are worth something in the first place.

i think there are 2 enemy factions. 2 mafia and 1 sk. i think they didn't nk cause of the thought that the other would do it. why?? because getting 5 townies dead at the cost of 1 maf player while the others are not even suspected is a good deal imo. of course, there is the possibility that the maf were placed all in the same room bu the chances of that happening are too small to consider. these are my thoughts for the moment.

Now, this is kinda of weird. What made you think that?
We, well at least I, thought that the mafia wouldn't nk because they will get caught if we only have 12 people.
2 enemy factions? I don't understand.

Now, I am worry about the items.
They could have the possibility of turning a townie into a mafia or a sk since well, rules can be changed in mid-game... that is kinda wrong. Maybe we will be playing a vampire mafia game... what would mole think of next?

People cannot change alignments.
The rule changes were to stop a game-breaking strategy from the town, and to make the game focus more on scumhunting. It is unlikely to happen again.
There are no vampires on the plane.
I am not a bastard mod.

There are mafia amongst us. They can influence our lynch. They could win that way. Especially if there's not a cop.

I'm willing to assume that there is a cop and that the mafia had a night-kill option but didn't use it for fear of exposing themselves. Meanwhile, the cop learned something about somebody. I'm looking to follow....

...follow the cop?

So this means you're going to vote No Lynch?

You've almost always voted no lynch on Day 1 but have always decided it was in the towns best interest to lynch on Day 2. What makes this game any different than the rest Kevin?

uum... we're hoping they will influence the lynch most of the times??... that way they give themselves out by voting patterns??... and cases??... and being pushy for lynches??...

though this day i think a nl is in order.

There could actually be no cop looking at the flavor first post of mole. But of course it's still more probable that there is otherwise we'd be too disadvantaged... but it could also be why mole rebalanced the game by removing rule 5-1.

@junk and sinkon

You guys are out there. First, to junk, where'd you get the idea that there could be an SK? And second, to Sinkon, I just LOL at the vampire idea.

You know, if mole did tell us that there is no zombies, I would've look more into things too. Like how someone talk because maybe inorder to invoke the power of zombie, one has to talk a certain way. Maybe use a keyword or something like : Garrr!!! flesh...brains....blood....hunger....must feed....oprah...(opps that slipped out)

Opps typo. LOL
If mole didn't tell us about the no vampire on the plane, we would be speculating wildly on the items.
Bummer... it would be so much fun too.
I read some other mafia games where there are like nurse, deputy cop, ironsmith, and even some where every townie has an an ability and they are invoked by speaking or acting in a certain manner... Oh that could be so much fun....
We could do a starwar theme with lightsabers... Ahh... may the force be with you!....

okkkkkkkkay. back to the plane. mole's games are pretty straightforward with the twists only happening behind the scenes. if it's not part of the theme, it's not part of the game. maybe on other themed-games there will be vampires. :P

Yes, follow the cop.

I'm not committting to no-lynch, but it could be a viable strategy. If the mafia don't night-kill, the cop can eventually investigate everyone while the town sits back and doesn't lynch anyone so there are no mis-lynches guided by the mafia.

In most games, the town needs to start lynching on day 2 because the mafia are night-killing and the town needs to use the investigations of the cop to its advantage.

In this case, I'm looking for hints from the cop. I'm not seeing too much but here are a couple of possibilities:
  • junkahoolik is the cop and investigated another townie. He wants a no-lynch to get more time fo more investigations.
  • Aquinas is the cop and investigated SinKon, finding him innocent. He posts that he won't put so much pressure on him.
  • Martino is the cop and found junkahoolik guilty. He votes for him with a very weak argument of being opposed to no-lynch suggestions.
Options 2 and 3 aren't actually feasible because they weren't in the same room for the investigations to happen, but if I see some subtle suggestions that are similar, I could be convinced to lynch.
