Rule 5-1 has been removed but there is no mention of Rule 5 being removed.
Mod: Is it still true that "Players may only carry out night actions on players they in the same area as." (sic)?
Yes.


So it appears that we are still locked into the same area for night actions.
So gameplan of room assignments should remain the same...correct?
So it's back to 4 rooms (2, 3, 6, 9 this time with the same grouping).

Given light of this new evidence...perhaps a no lynch is the correct solution??

So there may be a new mechanic pm'd to power roles (ie. instead of 1 movement...they can go up to 4 spaces, etc).
It's just that it's not for everyone to know about.

i would assume so. he even could have left the mechanic as is, but said something to make it ambiguous. either way, his goal succeeded. we dont know how their movement is done.

the point is that us the town would not have known whether it was changed or not. this means that we wouldn't be able to stick to the previous plan since there is the possibility of him actually changing the rule.

No, quit trying to twist my words to deceive the town. I don't want the cop killed by mafia. As CD made it clear, your idea would greatly increase the mafia's chances of finding the cop and killing him.

More clarification on the OMGUS:

In the context of answering the question of who could be mafia, I was answering that I could think EM is mafia because he voted for me, not that he was responding to something I said about him.

Why even bring OMGUS up then? Here is the definition of OMGUS: OMGUS stands for "Oh my God! You Suck!"

An OMGUS vote means a player vote another player simply because that player voted him - a vote back.

Again, you are misrepresenting what is really going on.


Kevin, you just keep reaffirming why I voted for you in the first place.

I mentioned the rule revision earlier - to remind you all:

I didn't find anything in my room either.

The distance limitation removal benefits the mafia as our previous strategy was "game breaking" as noted above. It doesn't matter if it is now 2 rooms or unlimited, our strategy was only effective when movement was limited to 1 room only (eg even with a 2 room limitation we'd have to stack people into rooms 1 and 9 only, making the limitations on catching scum very ineffective; more range further exacerbates this problem)


We need a lynch, a continuance of voting records from D1 and, probably, all FoS' flung so far.

I'm sticking with my gut and will vote accordingly.

I don't recall saying such a thing.

The only thing I remember is that you wanted the cop to claim first on D1 (that's without any night actions).
It's a bit different if a cop has actually found scum.

And I definitely don't remember saying that a cop should wait until he's found 2 or more mafia.

It's 35 pages already...so forgive if I don't go sifting through the pages.

As for the cop to roleclaim...that's for the cop to decide.
Personally if I was the cop and found scum (assuming that there is a doc), I would tell everyone so as to lynch mafia.
Also, remember the game mechanics were still in play.
It would have been impossible for the doc to hide his identity and protect the doc at the same time.

Of course it now depends on whether the power roles have no resitrictions regarding movements during night.

I said in post #662 that I haven't received an item.

I think if some pro-town got an item, they should have told us before if he thinks it will help us but right now no one has done it. Obviously if an anti-town got an item, they won't say it. So... we should rely on items that much too win. Let's focus more on scum-hunting.

OMGUS? I was asked whom I thought was scum and I was trying to respond that Electric Mango must be scum because he had voted for me. Yet again I have to explain my attempts at humor.

Your posting style is still the same, aggressive and questioning but the exchange between you and junk have seemingly minor inconsistencies. Although you have clarified that you made such posts on a different mindset (ie. old set up).

I'm just thinking since you're attacking each other, one of you could be scum. But I could be wrong of course. Just my thoughts.

I've read through the pages, and I tend to agree with Falzis. While CD has done nothing particularly scummy, my gut is saying that his posts are a bit more aggressive than usual.

Both CD and EM have been dogging KevinH pretty hard, apparently because he is trying to "mislead" the town. I think you guys are jumping to conclusions WAY too fast there, I totally agree with KevinH in that the cop should leave hints. He could drop dead anytime, there is not point in leaving breadcrumbs. Hints left in a subtle enough fashion will be passed over by every player, until the clue-dropper turns out to be the cop. Then every post can be analyzed and evidence can be derived in that fashion.

Also, KevinH's "no lynch" strategy is also not a scumtell. While I personally don't agree with it, the circumstances of our situation could lead (the misguided :P) to believe that it would be in the best interests of the town.

I'm not one to stick my neck out for others, but I think EM and CD are railing against KevinH's discussion points far too hard. To me, it seems like they are stifling one side of the conversation while keeping up the impression of a dialogue with KEvinH.

i think there are 2 enemy factions. 2 mafia and 1 sk. i think they didn't nk cause of the thought that the other would do it. why?? because getting 5 townies dead at the cost of 1 maf player while the others are not even suspected is a good deal imo. of course, there is the possibility that the maf were placed all in the same room bu the chances of that happening are too small to consider. these are my thoughts for the moment.
