@Narsis - you FOS Martino before junk?

While I understand your opposition to the assigned seating arrangements, Martino's suggestion (which I suggested as well) eliminates townie mistakes (ie. idiot proof).


Anyways...a possible outcome for D1-D2...

D1 lynch = dead townie

N1
Room 1 = 3 people
Room 4 = 3 people
Room 7 = 3 people
Room 8 = 3 people

If nk happens in Room 1 = 2 people are suspect.

D2
We lynch correctly = yay we got mafia.
The last person from Room 1 should remain in a room by himself the next night (no guarantee that he is a townie).

We lynch incorrectly = last guy is mafia and he'll go anywhere he wants to.

N2 mafia nk someone

D3
We lynch that mafia guy.

actually i was going to FOS junk but forgot/didnt bother.(lame excuse i know)

i agree that there is nothing wrong with the assigned seating itself, but it does remove the ability to gain some information for the sake of making it idiot proof. this information is very similar in type and quality to that you get from VCs. no one would dare for a moment to ignore the information available in VCs...why throw this away? for something so simple as mistakes? keeping a live record of who is where should work to minimize mistakes fairly well.

pretty much... and i don't like it since it could give us 3 days (i think) worth of room shuffling for 1 scum meaning 5 townies possibly dead for 1 scum. d2's vote pretty much has to be accurate...

oh yeah, i remember something about some roles that have been made specifically for this game. can there be a role that can see when someone visits a adjacent room??

Room shuffling occurs during the night ... not the day.
How did you get 5 dead townies?

D1 - mislynch = dead townie #1
N1 - nk = dead townie #2
D2 - mislynch = dead townie #3
N2 - nk = dead townie #4
D3 = lynch mafia

This would be situation regardless.
At least we are certain to get mafia on D3 if mafia nk's on N1.

If we are in agreement with the described plan of 4 separate non-adjacent rooms...

Perhaps we should sort out the seating arrangements (I just did this by the numbering system)...

Room 2
1. Narsis
2. Junkahoolik

Although this removes choice...it removes it for everyone.
It's possible that 2 mafia may end up in one room.
Whereas if mafia had a choice...they would probably want to spread out and not be clustered in one room.

I am absolutely in favor of this.

Townies don't know whom the scum are, but scum knows whom the townies are. If we self-select, that will give the scum a potential advantage.

well, we could have the cop claim, move to the cockpit and make him have access to just one person to investigate then set that person in a safe compartment.


The cop can investigate someone in his section. There's no need to roleclaim. After 2 nights we should rearrange so the cop can have fresh candidates.

also i would like to hear why EM FOS'd Aquinas and Kevin...



I FOS'd them because they were the first to suggest that the town all move to different areas. As it has already been discussed, I too thought our best strategy was to divide the town into groups spread far apart from each other. This way we could limit the possible scum suspects. That is why I asked the Mole if we could tell where people had spent the night.

I did not get to read anything much after page 3 because I'm pressed for time so I don't know what recent conversation has taken place. I'll catch up on everything tomorrow and give some more insight.

I will probably vote for Kevin or Aquinas tomorrow but will have to wait until I read all the posts.

Thinking about it, I think I prefer to let people choose their room. And to prevent people to make a mistake why can't we post something like this since some of you are concerned that townies could commit some mistakes. They'll only make a mistake if they don't read or if two people simultaneously moved to an area but this could be avoided if he first tells everyone not to choose that area anymore because he'll go there or something. Or maybe require everyone to post that they'll move there in 1 minute or something...
