Plane Crash II - Game Thread - GAME OVER!

Another day, another plane. Captain "Anger-Management" Tilden (As he was known secretly by the crew) had always been proud of how he handled the flights on his plane. Always smooth, orderly, and comfortable for the passengers. And he intended to keep it that way, he reflected, carrying his bags through the airport terminal. Today's flight was to be a tedious one over the atlantic. But never mind.

Got to keep alert, he mused as his bags went through a scanner. Terrorists were everywhere these days. The takeoff was, as always, impeccable. The passengers seemed fairly happy, apart from that hungover one complaining about the lack of painkillers, and Tilden settled himself down for a smooth flight.

A few hours into the flight, the door to the cockpit was nudged open, breaking the silence. Tilden stiffened. It was probably that flight attendant. It was no secret amongst the crew that Tilden had a thing for her. But he didn't care. He wasn't about to ruin his chances by shouting again.

"Ah, Marie, could you-"

That was as far as he got. Looking at the reflection in the window, he saw a man in plain clothes. A passenger? He was striding up to Tilden with purpose. Tilden's eyes widened as he saw the flash of a blade. He opened his mouth to speak, but couldn't. A knife was swiftly drawn across his throat. He choked, swiftly passing into unconsciousness.

And yet no-one noticed the 2 dead pilots in the cockpit. Marie, the flight attendant, was about halfway through serving drinks. She glanced to the left, flashed a fake smile to the passenger before seeing he was unconscious.

She sighed, and rolled her eyes, recognising the passenger as the one with the hangover. She was about to turn away, when something caught her eye. Had he spilt coffee on himself? She sighed again, reaching for some napkins.

Wait. That wasn't coffee.

She screamed, noticing the blood spread out over the man's torso. The passenger's heads turned round to look at her. The man's pocket identified him as a Police officer.

It was happening again...

The super-amazing catch-up VOTE COUNT

Martino (2): Narsis, CanucksDynasty

No Lynch (3): Falzis, Electric Mango, Martino

Not Voting (3): Samus, SinKon, Aquinas

With 8 alive, 5 is needed to lynch.

Deadline is Jan 25th.

Aquinas - Please bold your messages to mod. I missed this one. You can bring up whatever you like as lonh as it doesn't break any rules.

A no lynch is okay with me. I'm not sure we'll gain much information but it won't harm our chances.

unvote

vote no lynch

These were consecutive posts. First he warns us that the scum may come in and quickly get a townie to half a majority close to deadline. Next he completely ignores his own advice and votes for me. I know he is always inactive during the weekend, but he could have easily prevented the scum from ganging up on a townie by voting no lynch. Instead, he votes for me. If I had been scum, that vote would be useless. The majority of the players seem to have agreed on a no lynch, so the only players that will be quickly changing their vote to get someone lynched are the mafia. So if I had been scum, his vote would not prevent a townie from being quicklynched by mafia. However, I am not scum, so his vote opens me up to being quicklynched. I wouldn't even be surprised if the first post was not so much a warning for the town, but more a reminder to his scumbuddies to vote for me if the no lynch option did not have three votes when we are close to the deadline.

That's because I firmly believe you are scum.

That's because I firmly believe you are scum.

Which doesn't change anything. I explained in the post you quoted that if I really was scum, it would be a bad move on your part to vote for me; it wouldn't prevent the mafia players ganging up on a townie right before the deadline. So if no townie would have voted after you did, the mafia could have won the game. In fact, you even pointed out to the mafia how they should win the game. Again you simply do not seem to care about pro town strategies. The pattern is becoming obvious.

the question that is bugging me...will the mafia win with such a strategy?

tbh i still think a no lynch is a bad idea. what do we gain? no one i have asked has answered the question properly. information-wise there is next to nothing we can learn with the items that we "know" exist. and odds are they would/could kill one of us and roleblock another.(although i dont know how roleblocking works with the items). that would leave only one of us...and odds are that one isnt going to have enough information to come up with a game breaking result. at best we would know that two people moved, but we wouldnt know who. at worst we learn nothing. and tbh knowing that two people moved but not who is next to nothing anyway...

I mean I got the item on N1.

It's a passive item...meaning it will work if conditions are met.

In order for it to work...mafia had to target me since I'm just a vanilla townie.

So I kept it quiet hoping for them to night kill me.

That didn't happen.

Paraphrasing so as to not get modkilled...

I have found a MEGAPHONE.

If someone enters the room that I am in, I will shout out through the megaphone.

Anyone in my room and next to it will hear the commotion.

Cannot prevent actions from being carried out.

This is a PASSIVE ability.

I do not need to do anything to use it.

Upon further questions to the mod...

IF I was killed by my roommates...it wouldn't work.

IF some passed through the room...it wouldn't work (ie. someone from Room #1 passing me in Room #6 to kill in Room #9).

It would also identify the cop or doc as it does not specify only mafia.

So it's a double-edge sword.

Your item claim has been very inconsistent. You only gave detailed information about your "item" when pressed upon, and to me, it seems like you've been making it up on the fly. For example, Jan 16th you said, "mafia had to target me since I'm just a vanilla townie". Now six days later your item suddenly changes it's magical abilities mid-game? Jan 22nd, you are quoted as saying, "If someone enters the room that I am in, I will shout out through the megaphone". First you're saying they have to target you, next you say they just have to enter your room. Those are 2 separate and distinct ways you said your item works, which means 1 out of 2 things. Either you have a magical item that mysteriously changes abilities each night or you're lying about the item. It it walks like a horse, looks like a horse, and stinks like a horse, it's probably a horse.

With you squaring off on Martino, the guiltier you look, the more innocent he does. I'm thinking that you, maybe Narsis, and inactive Samus are the scum. Martino could be on to something when he said CD could be dropping a hint to a fellow mafia member. Samus seems to fit this profile.

What does everyone else think.

That voting pattern is just ludicrous. I can't make anything out of it. I can't see a pattern except for what has already been analyzed re Sinkon's voters - that is, everyone alive has voted for him at least once. This means that either he is townie or mafia is really bussing.

SinKon (2)

Martino (2)

Electric Mango (1)

CanucksDynasty (1)

Narsis, SinKon, Martino and Aquinas have all been twice in the majority lynch vote.

Samus, EM, CD, and myself have all been once in the majority lynch vote.

I think scum is more likely to be found in the first category... which fits my vote nicely on SinKon. If I also remember correctly whenever SinKon votes it's usually without a fleshed out reason or fleshed out with someone else's reason.

@EM - Nice try. I already fingered you as scum along with Martino and Falzis.

IF mafia targetted me...they would have had to enter the room I was in. Thus the conditions are met and they would be revealed. That is also why I wanted a max spread strategy on N3.

Again...you are twisting me words to suit your agenda and paint me in a bad light. Try and try as you might ... I know you are scum now.

Just like I'm certain Falzis is scum. And guess what...all 3 of you voted "No Lynch". What a surprise.

With Samus and SinKon gone inactive. You guys only need to kill one of the active players. Then on D5...if Samus and SinKon are still inactive...you guys can cast 3 quick votes before the 3 remaining active townies and then it's game over.

actually it would require at least one townie vote on another townie as well. even so...

OOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKKKKKK if I'm scum why am I pushing for the lynch of inactives? ie. SinKon, crazyemolad (I was the first one to vote for him).

If we're all scum, why are we voting No Lynch and not consecutive votes on a player like you are saying?? I believe in a No Lynch because it will allow us one more day to survive and discuss.

Unlike Narsis, I believe a lot of things can happen during the night. I believe items can still be picked up. I believe items can be used and not all of them will be roleblocked or killed. I believe there are power roles still in the game (not item-powered). I believe the night kill can tell us who is scum or townie and help us scuttle down our list of suspects the next day. I believe the chances of us wrongly killing someone today is very high because we really don't have a good lead logic-wise or evidence-wise, which is why risk it when we can have one more day.

That's B.S. First you said "they had to target me", now you're saying, "they had to enter the room I was in". If you had an item that would work when someone entered the room you were in, why would you tell us that mafia had to target you? You wouldn't have.

Also, why would you have wanted a max spread strategy with that item. For ex, if we have 6 townies in 6 different rooms, you have a 1 in 6 chance of using your item. If we put 3 people per room, you have just significantly increased your odds of successfully using your item.

I agree with EM about CD's conflicting posts. I also wanted to post my away notice. I'll be gone until January 30th.

MOD: If possible, I'd like to give Narsis the power to move me to a room. Otherwise, could you please move me randomly to a room before the others have to move? In that way, they can at least adapt to the room I end up in.

Narsis can move you. Guess that's the most authentic way of doing it.

IF it is LYLO...then a lynch of an inactive like SinKon (most likely townie)...would still result in a win for mafia.

Duh that's why I switched to No Lynch, but I don't believe he is townie. He's an inactive scum in my gut.

Duh that's why I switched to No Lynch, but I don't believe he is townie. He's an inactive scum in my gut.

Since when have scum ever been inactive in a mafia game?

In my experience...it has always been a vanilla townie.

You're saying this only to protect Martino.

As it gives a reason why Martino would survive the day (ie. scum couldn't place the a vote to lynch townie).

IF Martino was scum...

Martino (scum) - 2 votes : Narsis (townie), CD (townie) ... it would take 2 townie votes to lynch Martino as there are 3 No Lynch votes.

Martino, EM, Falzis voted no lynch - 3 votes.

IF Martino was townie and I was scum...

Martino (townie) - 2 votes: Narsis (townie), CD (scum)...it would only take 2 scum votes to lynch Martino (if you believe Narsis is townie).

So who would that be?

SinKon (scum)...that you conveniently fingered as scum since he's inactive.

And who else would the 3rd scum be? Narsis, EM, Samus, Aquinas???

actually it would require at least one townie vote on another townie as well. even so...

Not if the trend of Samus and SinKon still being inactive continues.

On Deadline day...they can place 3 consecutive votes to lynch townie.

Then it's game over.

MOD: any word from SinKon?

None. A mass prod will go out tonight.

With 8 alive, 5 is needed to lynch. 3 is needed to lynch at deadline.

Deadline is Jan 25th.

With a half-half-majority, No Lynch will occur.

The until-recently passengers of the plane decide not to lynch today. Instead, they spend the day setting up a small camp and exploring the island a little. As night falls, they must decide where to stay the night.

It is now DUSK. You know the drill.

A mass prod will go out soon.

This is the Island layout.

I don't care where anyone else goes to.

I will room with Aquinas as I mentioned in my earlier posts.

I'll take the Cove if no one else wants it.
