Welcome to the IRON Gaming Channel! Tonight we have a special treat as Narsis hosts what he(and we considering our poor ratings as of late) hopes is the next big game show! He calls it Guess Who Mafia. Ever played that board game Guess Who? The one where players pick a person from the deck and then try to guess who the other player has by asking yes/no questions about them. What about mafia? The game of persuasion, logic, and good old fashioned murder mystery. Well whether you have or haven't now is your chance to watch these 5 players duke it out in a twisted combination of the two! Who will win? Let's find out! Players still in the game: 2. Kaziocore 3. Nerau 5. CanucksDynasty Players out of the game: Theophilos, TOWNIE, lynched Day One. KevinH, TOWNIE, killed Night One. Revealed Information: 1. KevinH: Hair Colour: Black Eye Colour: Brown Sex: Female Skin Colour: Dark Accessories: Glasses 2. Kaziocore: Hair Colour: Eye Colour: Sex: Skin Colour: Accessories: 3. Nerau: Hair Colour: Black Eye Colour: Brown Sex: Female Skin Colour: Dark Accessories: Necklace 4. Theophilos: Hair Colour: Black Eye Colour: Green Sex: Female Skin Colour: Light Accessories: Glasses 5. CanucksDynasty: Hair Colour: Brown Eye Colour: Brown Sex: Male Skin Colour: Dark Accessories: Necklace 6. The Mafia: Hair Colour: Eye Colour: Sex: Skin Colour: Accessories: The Rules 1. Days will last a week; nights will last 48 hours. 2. At deadline the player with the most votes dies. If there is a tie the first player to get to that number of votes is lynched. Should no one have been voted, a player will be lynched at random. 3. During the day the town(as a whole) may also ask the mod a single yes/no question about the mafia. This question must be related to the revealed information section. (Examples: Is the mafia's hair brown? Is the mafia a guy? etc. Examples of what not to ask: Is CD the mafia? Is KevinH not the mafia?) It must be asked in bold. 4. There are only two options for each category(hair: brown/black, eyes: brown/green, sex: guy/girl, skin: dark/light, accessories: glasses/necklace). 6. Upon death a persons info will be fully revealed. Additionally, one of the living players at the start of each day will be revealed in full. 5. Everything else should already be known to you guys since you've all played mafia before and I'm not about to throw out any major surprises. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
  2. hey sorry i didnt do this yet. couple things came up and i never got around to it.
  3. dont know. anyway i'll throw together role pms etc and get everything sent out later today...
  4. that's the plan unless someone else comes along.
  5. i guess i did say that it didnt really matter how many people we have...but i would prefer at least 5.
  6. perhaps
  7. BUMP only one person wants to play?
  8. Narsis replied to Narsis's topic in Mafia
yeah i thought that his post and subsequent vote of CD might at least convince EM to look into it a bit more.
  9. Narsis replied to Narsis's topic in Mafia
correction: the cop role stated that there were two mafia...the townie role said nothing of the sort. it was actually a bit of a slip on my part mentioning that in your pm. i need to be more careful with flavour.
  10. Ever played the board game Guess Who? Ever played the game mafia? If so, then you should enjoy this twisted combination of the two! Note: It doesn't really matter how many people sign-up for this game...the more the merrier of course, but it won't make a big difference on the balance. Players: 1. KevinH 2. Kaziocore 3. Nerau 4. Theophilos Replacements: 1. CanucksDynasty

Not much point in writing up my uber awesome lynch scenes since CD already gave it away. But yes, CanucksDynasty was the second scum. So CanucksDynasty and AKCPluto win! Role PMs: Night Actions: Night 1: KevinH investigates Theophilos(result of innocent). CanucksDynasty kills KevinH. Night 2: CanucksDynasty kills Martino. Some notes: I think that the D=5, N=2 worked quite well. it's unfortunate that i couldnt get Theo replaced as i think it would have made a bit of a difference had he roleclaimed. as for the cop/deputy combo...i wanted to try something a bit different from the usual cop/doc combo. basically i wanted it set up so that the cop would at the very least get one chance at gaining info on someone and revealing it. it didnt happen, but it gave them the chance. now i have an interesting idea for the next game...but i'll let mole have a chance if he wants.

After a quick break, they got back together to continue their discussions. However they quickly noticed that someone was missing, primarily cause he had a very vocal voice previously. Martino was missing. As much as they searched they couldn't find anything...it seemed that he had disappeared off the face of the earth. Eventually they did find him, although not before consulting most of the servants in Matt's mansion(why they were still here after his death remains a mystery). Several working outside had noticed a dark figure sneaking off into Matt's hunting grounds(he had a huge forest and such to hunt in) followed shortly after by a second. Heading in the general direction they found Martino dead, stabbed in the chest several times. Martino, wealthy merchant and Townie, was stabbed to death Night 2. Edit: Oops. Forgot to mention that it's Day 3. 2 to lynch. There is no deadline lynching. Deadline is Saturday morning, however since this is obviously the last day I may allow it to continue until a lynch happens.

The "End of Day 2" VC: Theophilos: 3 - (CanucksDynasty, Kaziocore, Martino) Kaziocore: 1 - (Electric Mango) Not voting: 1 - (Theophilos) The debate was rather fierce today. It quickly came down to two people: Theophilos and Kaziocore. They were both among the wealthiest of merchants, and had much to gain from Matt's death(although the same could be said about the other merchants...these two were most likely to take the majority of Matt's business). The debate dragged on far longer then the previous one, and everyone was getting a bit anxious. In the end, Martino stood and, in a long speech, stated who he suspected most and why. As he came to a close, soldiers rushed forward and dragged Theophilos off to some jail cell. There he would rot for the next couple months before being beheaded publicly. However, it was discovered that Theophilos was not out to kill Matt, although he wasn't just an unsuspecting bystander either. It turns out that he had taken KevinH's death as an opportunity, and had purchased the loyalty of Kevin's informers. Alas nothing was uncovered as to what he had been searching for. Theophilos, rich merchant, inheritor of a vast information ring, and Deputy, was imprisoned and sentenced to beheading Day 2. Now it may be interesting learning why Theophilos was still beheaded. Turns out that the governor of the region had a bit of a dispute with him, and, even after the true killer of Matt Miller had been discovered, had brought up new charges against Theophilos with which he had him beheaded. It is now Night 2. Night actions in to me before Monday morning.

  17. i'm so voting for NAH's when the vote goes up... also i think i might need to make a sig for this one...
  18. how do you go about making that? also it's way cool.
  19. Narsis replied to Narsis's topic in Mafia

Intrigued by the results of their last few hours, the merchants decided to take a break. The real authorities had arrived and had begun snooping around. Regardless, the merchants planned to meet again to continue their discussion. They met in Matt's library, hoping perhaps to make use of the vast amount of books and knowledge therin. As discussion began, they noticed that someone was missing: KevinH. A quick search found him dead in a side room. The only wounds he had were a cut on the arm. The quickly discovered that he had been poisoned with the same poison as Matt, although this time it had been administered by the cut on his arm. Searching him they found some interesting notes. It seemed that Kevin had a vast information gathering system. Little about who or what he found however wasn't here, and they likely wouldn't have much chance to search his home and vessels for clues. And so the debate broke out again... KevinH, wealthy merchant, head of a vast information ring, and Cop, was found cut and poisoned during Night 1. Day 2 begins...with 5 alive it takes 3 to lynch, 2 at deadline. Deadline is Saturday morning.

The "Day 1 is Done" VC: AKCPluto: 4 - (Kaziocore, Martino, KevinH, CanucksDynasty) Martino: 3 - (Theophilos, Electric Mango, AKCPluto) Not Voting: 0 Hoping to discover what happened, a debate began about who among them killed Matt Miller. Now why did it have to be one of the merchants? Long story short, Matt had a taste-tester taste the food before it arrived at the table. The poison itself was fast acting, and had been found all over his plate. Since the tester hadn't died, then it had to have been transfered to the food between then and when Matt ate it. It was highly unlikely to have been one of the servants as well, special care had been taken in picking them all(Matt was cautious like that...he knew the perils of his power). As such suspicion immediately fell on those sitting nearest Matt: AKCPluto and Martino. Although, in order to prevent unfairness, Matt had arranged for all the merchants to sit near him at the head of the table at one point in time during the evening, AKC and Martino had been nearest to him at the time of his death and were most likely to have poisoned his food. However, the merchants, and the others looking into the case, could little agree on which had done it. Both were wealthy, and both had reason to kill him. It also turns out that there were, as there always seems to be, alternative motives behind each of their choices. Some were closer to AKC, others benefited more from Martino. After spending hours debating and discussing, CanucksDynasty, tired of the constant debate and looking to break whatever tie was there, grabbed his knife and sunk it deep into AKC's chest. "There," he said. "Now perhaps we could rest in peace." A quick search of AKC's body, discovered a vial of poison, cleverly hidden in his robe's sleeve. However, it was quickly discovered that the poison was not that used to kill Matt. Even so, the nature of the poison was such that it only worked when ingested and so it was fairly clear what his intent had been. It seems that someone beat him to the plate however. AKCPluto, wealthy merchant, evil and cunning murderer, and member of the "Mafia", was stabbed to death Day 1. And so Night 1 begins. Night actions in to me by Monday morning. Also sorry i'm a bit late getting this out...I was out all day.

All seemed great when you reached Miller's estate. Beautiful gardens and marble statues surrounded an imposing and large stone mansion. As you entered through the massive oak doors you were greeted by Matt Miller. "Welcome to my humble home," said Matt Miller as you entered, a smile seemingly plastered on his face. With a flourish he opened another door and led you through halls lined with tapestries, paintings, and sculptures, all very expensive and rare. Fountains seemed to spring from the floors and walls in places and land in gem encrusted marble pools. You walked through another hall, this one adorned with arms and armour. Beautiful swords, stunning shields, and flawless craftsmanship surrounded you. All the while Mr. Miller was babbling on about this and that piece; who made it, where it came from, and, most of all, how much it cost to get it. It seemed that this was one man that truly enjoyed showing off all that he had accomplished. With another flourish the door to the banquet hall opened. Almost as soon as you sat down at a massive table, far too big for just the 8 of you, the festivities began. It seemed that Mr. Miller had an endless supply of clowns, musicians, poets, and servants at his command. The food began pouring through the doors as servants carried platters heaping with pies, meats, fruits, and vegetables; and all of the highest quality. It seemed that no expense had been spared for these 7 merchants, although why exactly would never be found out. As the evening wore on and the proud talk of deeds done and battles won died away, Matt Miller stood to give a speech. It seemed that finally they would figure out exactly what brought them all here... "Lords and Ladys, or rather those soon to become such," began Matt, "it is my pleasure and honour to have you all here on this fine night. I have asked you all to come for one simple reason..." Before he could finish he fell forward against the table, splattering food all over those nearest and eliciting a cry of shock from everyone in the room. Servants hurried to tend to their master, but to no avail. Matt Miller was dead! It is now Day 1. With 7 people alive, it takes 4 to lynch, 2 at deadline. Deadline is basically whenever I get around to it Friday evening or Saturday morning.
