New Game of Thrones Trailer
They are only showing half a season aren't they? Probably wise to just do a teaser trailer.

I am glad that you're happy with your service and that not all ISPs railroad the customer, while I feel $250 is pretty high I do not know the details of your service. I pay only for internet and use it for work and play. They throttle my speed, provide inconsistent service and charge $80 for 20mbps, which they advertise as "up to 100mbps". I have never seen it go above 30. They also cap the amount of data I can use, which sucks because several people use it other than just me and netflix is constantly in use by one of the people I live with if not myself. So the mere idea that these people get to line their pockets on top of charging the customers around here a king's ransom is vexes me to no end.

What does an ad blocker have to do with this? A side note I use a VPN, so it would be harder to track me. My annoyance isn't for me but rather that others who know less have to be victims. The rule you guys are crying about has never seen the light of day. It never happened, so you have lost nothing. It was another trap laid by the Obama Administration, so when they kill it, and they knew they would because it needed to die, snowflake liberals will have something to point at and scream about. The rule is a failed attempt to prevent your ISP, and only your ISP, from using your browsing history for targeted advertising. That is all. The FCC under Obama knew it would never stand. They wanted to plant bombs all over everywhere to make Republicans look bad. I guess from what I see here, it must be working. Wise up. Selling your personal information is already illegal. You guys might want to check out this article... it's from the same place DarkFox just put up http://www.theverge.com/2017/3/29/15115382/buy-congress-web-history-gop-fake-internet-privacy Yep it was aborted early. The thing is ISPs are basically a monopoly, one that is funded by us both via taxes and us being customers. When a small group of people are able to collect data which is knowledge and we all know knowledge is power. Now I admit I might be paranoid but every time we let the bad guys win we all suffer. Just to clarify I call them the bad guys because they do not care about you or I, but instead only about themselves and do not care what potential damage can be caused from their actions as long as they get what they want.

It's already there. Anything with a GPS knows where you are. It's sold as an easy way for you to get where you want to go, but it works by first letting everyone know where you are. Your smart phone is a tracking device. The only way to stay off the grid is to never go on it. Opting out doesn't protect you from anything... it just confirms they have hit their target. The internet is the new marketplace, and when you turn it on and plug in... you are in their world, and they will know who you are one way or another. Zuckerberg, Bezos, and other buddies of Obama wanted him to kill some of their competition... that is it. If you want privacy, stay off. Anything and everything you do online is at risk of being abused. It's the new world, and creating a regulation to single out and restrict one entity to benefit others is not right. It is not a matter if it is already here, but whether or not it is legal. Right now it is illegal to track cars, and you can turn location off on your smart phone. What annoys me isn't that they are doing it, but that they are allowed to do it. The government and clever hackers have been able to track us since the late 90s. Hell they have been doing movies for years about how hackers and special agents do some of that crap. With this data anyone can pick out a person in particular and rob them using social engineering and by making something like this legal means that some basement dweller who isn't smart enough to learn how to do it without getting caught before can now acquire mass amounts of data and use that maliciously without as much effort. It is an unnecessary security risk, all because a few companies paid our politicians who aren't supposed to be bought to get a bill passed which doesn't benefit you or I in any way. tl;dr Just because they can and have been, doesn't mean that they should. Furthermore why the hell should we make it easy for them?

How about if I sell you a car, can I use it to tell people where its at? Or perhaps where its been? Also Google and Facebook don't charge anything, last I checked I get a pretty large internet bill every month for service less than that of other countries. So in what world do you feel they are within their right to charge us for an inferior product and then sell our information after bribing senators to allow this and other misdeeds from occurring?

After years of crying about Obamacare, Trump and GOP drop the ball
You are correct Sir. This is why we need to break down the protection barriers they have put up. Allow insurance to be purchased from any company that offers it, rather than the few that are in your area. If we could drive the costs down enough, it may be possible to question why we need to buy insurance at all. The insurance could become more expensive than just paying for it yourself when you have a problem. We will get this worked out... because we really don't have a choice anymore. I completely agree.

The big companies have agreements with each other to stay out of each other's pockets. For example with internet service providers; They team up against the little guy, and agree on charging the same or similar amounts. Competition is only good when it is actually competition.

Write up your proposal and put this sentence at the end of it, right before your signature. Deliver it to your Congressman, and with some luck it could make it all the way to Trump's desk. If he signs it, and everything goes well for you, someone will be digging through the rubble one day and unearth a statue of you with this sentence carved in the stone. The great archaeological dig of the ruins of the once great Republic of the United States of America... and the only thing they will say about us is that we didn't last as long as the Romans. That pessimism is what kept us in the dark ages for so long.

People once said that we would never fly. Real life is full of possibilities and the only ones holding ourselves back is ourselves.

Private practice is freedom. They can do whatever they want, treat whoever they want, charge whatever they want, and get paid whichever way they want. Single payer will not pay them what they want... so they would only service the people that will pay them. This is why the poor have such a hard time finding a doctor that will accept Medicaid. Very few doctors will put up with government limits, and they take forever to get paid. Medicaid fraud is all over the place as well. They charge the government for people they never treated, and for illness they never had. They believe it's justified because the government screws them over so bad for what they really do. So when we have a single payer system, we would still have the problem of not enough care, and only the wealthy receiving the best. Government would have to step in and force them to do it... hence the law to abolish private practice. Great to hear you are only wanting a little Communism, but if you listen closely to Bernie Sanders and his followers, you will discover the screaming creatures I was talking about. Rights are free, and no one has to be a government slave to supply them to anyone. You have the right to bear arms... but no one is required to give you a gun. You have the right to an attorney... but Public Defenders work for the people that will convict you. They will only tell you to keep quiet, and when they find you guilty, throw yourself on the mercy of the court. You have the right to life... no one can legally just kill you. You have freedom of speech... say whatever you want. The only thing that has cost is the soldiers that keep it that way. But if you're hungry you go out and buy some food. If you want a place to live you have to buy a house or rent an apartment. If you want to get to work you must buy a bus pass, or buy a car. If you have a toe infection, you go to a doctor and pay him to prescribe you a cream... then you go to the pharmacy and pay them for the cream. All of this costs money... for you, and only you. You must pay for it. None of this is a right. Most of your examples are based off of a current flawed system. Other countries where the government covers it do not have issues so why would we? We have more resources and ability than some of the countries that have had great success with it. Fixing healthcare helps us all. If everyone goes to the doctor then it stops the spread of preventable diseases and possibly kills them off. Saying that the chronically ill and those who could never afford to just need to take care of themselves in a system that is designed against them is folly. While yes it will remove some freedoms I think that is a small sacrifice for the well being of others.

Hmmm... reminds me of an old Steely Dan song I listened to when I was a teenager, until I wore the record out. I have the CD now but I haven't listened to it in a few years... it goes like this: "I heard it was you... talkin' 'bout a world where all is free... it just couldn't be... and only a fool would say that" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06a19-S77F4 Taking care of your medical needs takes time and knowledge from people that like very much to stick their own price tag on their talent. What you want is socialized healthcare, and to supply that to 320 million people would not be possible. We don't have a convenience store... like a Starbucks... on every corner handing out PhD's for $5 a shot. How do you think Doctors and Surgeons will feel when the law is signed by the President that they can't have a private practice anymore? We would then have a medical crisis on our hands. You also can't have a little bit of Communism. As soon as healthcare is a right, then you will see these creatures screaming for food, and houses, and transportation, and every other service that costs money. It's the road to ruin my friend. On paper you can create a cashless society where everything is free, and everybody is just fine with it... but in the real world you would be drawn and quartered in the street... real medieval like. No one wants that to happen. Why wouldn't doctors be able to have private practices? All they would have to do is bill the government for the treatment like they do in Canada. If we follow similar model as them the doctor's income would drop a little bit but the overhead would drop immensely and the working conditions would improve. Our medical system has been an utter joke for far too long when we are supposed to be the greatest country in the world. Between this and our shitty school system I am ashamed with how our leaders let the corrupt act in the past 20 years specifically. Also I am not talking about Communism, it is a social reform. A purely capitalistic state is doomed to fail because eventually there are poor people and rich people, no middle class. We shouldn't seek labels but instead what works and what doesn't. I don't want free money, food, shelter and having to work where I am told to, I want a place where we treat others well and their happiness improves ours. That may sound like hippy crap but it is what we are a society should stride for, because it is not possible in 10 or 20 years from now, but instead is possible today. Why should we settle for anything less than greatness? Why wouldn't doctors be able to have private practices? All they would have to do if bill the government for the treatment like they do in Canada. If we follow similar model as them their income

What I was trying to say if I didn't come off clearly is; I want a universal healthcare that doesn't categorize people and treats everyone exactly the same regardless of age, race, and wealth. Charging everyone in taxes the same percentage across the board and not having the insurance companies involved since they skim heavily. That of course is a super simplified version, but I believe it would be a good goal to work towards.

After years of crying about Obamacare, Trump and GOP drop the ball
Last I checked Popsicle sticks don't cost a dollar each. Monopolies is what causes high prices. Every single step of our healthcare is for profit. Next time you get a routine procedure ask for an itemized bill. Everything is inflated, especially when you have insurance. If we break it into averages here is the math doctor average salary $189,000 average cost of doctor's visit $200 average hours per week 59.6 (will round to 60 for this example) average time spent in an appointment 16 minutes That is 45k income per week. So just paying the yearly salary for that doctor takes under 5 weeks. Now yes there are other employees there but just going off of what you said about salary being the main expense, this should prove it is in fact not. Medical supplies, machines and the medicine itself are the highest cost. The machines are fairly close to competitively priced so if its not that then it must be the medicine and supplies that are marked up. The people who decide that are the pharmaceutical companies and the insurance companies. Insurance companies are notorious at forcing hospitals they don't own to buy certain products from certain companies, which in many cases are sister companies or owned by the same insurance companies. In fact one of the main reasons why Obamacare lacks is because they are forcing people to buy into insurance instead of just expanding medicare and cutting out the middleman. Sure it would screw over the health insurance companies, but lets face it; they have been screwing us for a long time.

Now I am in no means a fan of Obamacare. My insurance went from $70 a month with a $25 copay and a $5 grand deductible. Now I am at $145, $40 copay and $6k deductible. Now if it were just that it would be fine, but the insurance doesn't cover in house procedures from my usual doctor like they used to. I had to pay $400 for 3 visits to remove a pesky wart. With that said I am an outlier, and I am fine with that. This current proposed change doesn't fix anything but instead provides tax cuts to the wealthy, why on Earth would anyone think this is a good idea? Unless of course their goal is to receive said tax cut. In my opinion Obamacare isn't perfect and could be made into something great, but they are letting politics get into the way of it. Why does it have to be expensive though? From my while limited experience I have seen greed by certain people make things expensive. The healthcare system itself is screwed up because of the corruption of greed. Insurance companies owning hospitals, pharma companies and the suppliers to the hospitals and then hiking up prices. Corruption is why things are expensive, not life.

Absolutely. I think it was the first mouth to mouth interracial interaction on TV... and it was totally forced against their will by a God named Apollo. Heads exploded all over the universe... and I was wondering why, because I was 7 years old. Too funny. Best part was Nimoy was supposed to do the kiss, Shatner insisted on him doing it.

Minimum wage
Not just a silly notion... just like the show... it's total fantasy. Don't get me wrong... I've been a Trekkie since 1966 when I was laying on the floor in my pajamas, watching Star Trek on one of the only color TV's on my block. Do you really believe Captain Kirk doesn't get something more than Uhura? The only benefit to being Captain is you get to tell everyone else what to do? Be the best at something and you get a medal from the Council for the Benefit of Mankind Society? Hardly. All Socialist ideas work wonderful on paper. Then a little thing called the human condition kicks in and blows it all apart. As long as you have over-achievers and deadbeats, that fantasy world cannot exist... and Captain James T. Kirk was an over-achiever. Haha yeah Kirk totally got Uhura. I am sure you heard the story about that interracial kiss right? Also probably not in my lifetime but something like startrek could be a real thing eventually. With how much robots, computers and manufacturing technology has advanced I wouldn't discount it.

I'm not gonna complain, I hated till work. Also you'll never be ID'd at one of those which is great! Those machines will require more technicians to keep them operating which leads to some of those being reemployed for that. It's no different than adding machines to assembly lines. Eventually some stores will win custom on the basis of providing a human interaction at the end of your shop and those of us who don't want to wait or exchange soul crushing glances with some slightly smelly elderly person or overweight teen at the checkout don't have to. There are many jobs which employed large numbers of people that have been wiped for ever, but that's progress... and new jobs get made. As they say, the best schools teach kids to work in jobs that don't even exist yet. The net total of jobs will be less, not right away of course but eventually it will get to the point where it will be exceedingly difficult to find a profession. Many smart people have tossed around the idea of a base income just for being alive and such, but that wouldn't help people who need to work to have fulfillment in their lives. Quite a few people are hoping it we to a startrek level of society. Everything is free, people work because they enjoy it and there is more traveling and exploration and doing things for the benefit of mankind. A silly notion but it is a possibility.

Like burglars in broad daylight. Bailed out by the taxpayers, and they were supposed to help people keep their homes. They let out a big sigh of relief... said to each other that they "dodged a bullet on that one"... payed each other off... banked the cash... and left us to die. I know exactly what you mean, and I was against the bailout too. They should have fried along with us, but they didn't. Student loans are a trap to keep the over-bloated Department of Education afloat... they should die too. I agree with you 100% there.
