WTF? Someone stole your package?
To add to this you can create an account with each delivery service and set up preferences such as requiring them to hand it to you.

Highest average I can find is 40k a year for an anesthesiologists. The one higher is brain surgeon but that isn't a common enough field that it should be included. Edit: Apparently OB/GYN actually have a lot higher paying between 85k to 200k per year 2nd Edit: looks like the first site I went to was wrong and I double confirmed it on 2 other sites both saying that depending on practice it is 100k-200k per year. So um whoops I was wrong

Well to be fair it isn't the insurance companies solely to blame. Its the companies that own the insurance companies, hospitals and suppliers that hike up the prices crazy like. There are more than a few states (might be all of them I haven't looked that deep) where you get up-charged all along the way. The aspirin cost $10 per tablet but its provided by a company that charges $5 per tablet (which they either bought or produced for less than $.02 each) and insurance is charged that $10 and your insurance will then charge you that $10 or a reduced amount depending on if you had hit your deductible meanwhile they are all owned by the same parent company so that company is making money off of the ridiculously overpriced aspirin a minimum of 2 times. Now according to free market principles someone is supposed to compete against them to lower the prices and raise the quality of service, instead what happened is the insurance companies got together and divided up the states and used predatory tactics such as saying that some places can only accept certain insurance companies. As is the healthcare system is broken because these corporations prevent healthy competition and the government has done nothing to regulate it. That is why a lot of people want a government ran healthcare system because the current one is for profit, and sadly the ones who are making that tremendous profit are not the doctors, nurses and other people who treat you. \ While doctors do make a lot you have to consider how many patients they see per day and how much they get off each one. I have insurance and a visit can cost me up to $50, and they last about 15 tops, an average work day is 8 hours. 32 patients in one day with each getting you a minimum $50 is $1,600. Being as the average visit is actually $200 if the doctor works only an average of 4 days a week and has that many patients (I have heard of horror stories where doctors had a lot more than that) that is 1.2mil rounded down. Average salary of a doctor is 190k, average salary of a nurse is 72k, and those are the two highest cost positions. Keep in mind most offices have multiple doctors working there to also bring down costs such as the building and so on making the overhead lower. So a long story short, the money is going somewhere and its not the doctors and nurses that are taking it.

Now that is a good idea. There's a lot of instances where the government did a good job as well, and almost every instance where the government gave up something to a private company to run it the costs went up. For example the private prison system is garbage that has severe implications besides just costing much more than when it was all government run. When student loans were no longer government ran everything went down hill and cost us billions not counting the students who owe{d) immense money. Perhaps the best way to do it is to have what you suggested, medicaid competing against the insurance companies, but as is the system needs to be more than just insurance companies or you are screwed

Voting system is a bit broken at the moment so fixing it would be quite difficult especially since the key issue is that ACA includes insurance companies which are for profit not for care. Health costs are expensive because of insurance companies. The ACA is a nightmare because of insurance companies. If we did medicare for all it would actually cut down costs and improve the lives of the healthcare providers. Right now the US health system is a racket designed to milk its "customers" for profit, its not designed to provide the best care for a fair price.

Congrats, Democrats
As someone who has to deal with the ACA for work it is a nightmare. Most my work hours are dealing with the ACA. I like the idea of something like medicare for all, but the ACA was badly designed and rushed out

Colin Kaepernick
To be fair Nike is a sport related company so it wouldnt make sense to not have someone related to professional sports, and honestly Nike probably wanted the controversy that followed Kaepernick

Colin Kaepernick
I think you hit it on the nose there. If Brady were the one taking a knee he would still be playing, and in my opinion any of the top 10 QBs wouldn't have lost their jobs over protesting either.

Colin Kaepernick
Recently the debate on how good Kaepernick was/is has re-surged and that teams are being racist by not signing him and many people are saying he was one of the best QBs playing. Now kneeling aside I wanted to have a discussion just based on this. If you were an NFL owner and have a media circus around a player would you want to sign him. Here is a link to his stats and I will toss a summary down as well. He was active for 6 seasons To put these stats into perspective Russell Wilson a top five QB Here is another top 5 QB Aaron Rodgers Here is a top 10 QB Philip Rivers Another top 10 QB Matt Ryan From what I remember when I watched him play both on TV and in person is he cracks under presser especially after being sac'd more than once. He would get skittish and would run the ball instead of looking for someone to pass when its a pass play. Kaepernick also threw the football like a fastball, which is more of a personal annoyance than anything else, but that also makes it easier to intercept in my opinion.

China has all of Hillary's emails...
We should build a wall out of those emails since no one can seem to get over them.

Jacksonville Landing Mass Shooting
I would? depending on the study it can be 10% to 89% of the shootings happen in gun free zones. Mass shootings happen everywhere and that is because for the most part this is done by people who are deeply disturbed mentally, and the rest because of crime but you could argue that those people aren't sane either. Here is some of my sources if you are curious. I don't mind gun free zones as long as they are not security theater and actually defended by professionals who are properly paid. The last event I went to had private security and a state officer there with only one way to enter and that required a metal detector. That seems pretty secure and I cant imagine it being too costly to replicate something like that.

Jacksonville Landing Mass Shooting
From what I hear it was some guy who lost a game and was a poor loser. What I cant understand is how he got a firearm in there, literally every event I go to around here has metal detectors.

Next time please don't act so impulsive. Discuss problem's first. I'm not a tyrant you know. I wont go further than this post on this topic but I feel it needs to be said. You shot us down when we pointed out that the trade was severely lopsided and denied any wrong doing, then when we said that we wouldn't stand for it you doubled down acting as if you were completely innocent and actually the victim. Lets say you had no ill intentions and were ignorant to the fact the trade gave you a incredible advantage over everyone else, it doesn't mean you were innocent if anything you were ignorant, and the second that we pointed it out you should have fixed the situation instead you forced our hands. Aside from Brewers promising to quit if it wasn't remedied we did not act impulsively, we tried to reason with you from the start. You are human and humans make mistakes so don't you dare put this squarely on us, especially when you caused the inciting incident. With that said lets move forward and have a fun season.

Well the courts are doing something right.
It is a pity we cant make some sort of rules against that and make it so public servants have to have their financials public and such, we could call them laws and when people break them we can have them go to jail and lose all the money they gained by breaking the laws. Then only people who are interested in improving the country and helping its people will run for office. Unless of course there isn't proper oversight.
-
Well the courts are doing something right.
As Onbekende mentioned, perhaps we shouldn't have billionaires in public office then.

I am not a fan of Trump but as someone who pays their taxes I take a sadistic joy in seeing someone who tries to avoid paying them getting busted. Also queue the Trump people saying that he will lie about Trump to get out of trouble and how scummy Manafort is and how they knew all along, yet hired him... Maybe he will lie under oath about Trump but it seems really strange that they guy who said he would drain the swamp has so many people committing crimes around him. Smoke doesn't mean fire though it means water obviously.

Trades in football are both parties trying to improve their teams. There is no benefit for him to do that trade and it stacks your team while gimping his. If this were legit and he wanted those players he could have gotten them during the draft. No games have been played and the draft wasn't even a week ago, so to see this trade it is obvious that two people are working together to make one team better than everyone else's thus giving that player an unfair advantage. The job of the commissioner is to prevent asshattery like this from happening, but instead you are the one taking part in it. But hey since as you say trades are allowed I guess you wont mind what happens next.

Yeah, best friend. He doesn't like NFL, he joined last year cuz we were short of a team and I asked him if he wanted to try a fun game. With who? It doesn't matter who, it matters that two players picked in the first two rounds were traded for absolutely nothing. If you are going to cheat then I will too. Undo the trade so we can keep this clean.

is that trade for real? if so this is a total crock of shit and I am out and not even going to bother playing with collusion like this That trade screams collusion. Literally every player is a step down for Lahore lightning. If this trade isn't reversed I will collude.

Ironic #MeToo hypocrisy
Really sounds like there was a lot more going on. Without more knowledge on the situation it would be foolhardy to take that example as fact for a common practice. Also if someone got fired for such a harmless comment would open the door for a wrongful termination suit. Also if you only have a single example that is iffy at best then I cant feel negative about a movement that tries to bring more professionalism in the workplace.
-
Ironic #MeToo hypocrisy
PC culture tends to not consider men, especially white men victims despite facts against it. This movement is far from perfect but its what we have. Perhaps it can becomes something better or a movement that is more ideal sprouts out of it.

Ironic #MeToo hypocrisy
Fear is an extremely powerful tool. In a business like being an actor someone who is well connected could literally make it so you cannot work, and you would have no proof or recourse to stop them from doing it. So if you were to deny someone with this power you wouldn't have a career anymore and there is nothing that you can do about it. For a moment I want you to pretend you are an actress, you went to school for acting, you are quite good and you were lucky enough to be naturally attractive on top of that you spent your entire life up until now building a solid portfolio and casting directors like you. You are cast in a movie but as a formality you have meet with a producer because he wants to make sure you are right for the role so he invites you to dinner with the casting director. Once dinner is over the casting director leaves and the producer asks you to his room to go through a set of lines, and you don't want to say no because he is your boss. You go up there and start the lines but then he wants you to strip or he starts feeling you up. Here is your decision you leave and hope nothing comes from it or you worry that if you leave you at the least lose your part. Since you have an anti black mailing stance you leave and first thing in the morning you get a call and are told that you aren't right for the part. From here you probably think whatever there are more parts what does one movie matter? You are a trained, experienced and good looking actress with a good reputation. Months go by and despite doing hundreds of auditions lesser actresses get the parts you were going for, and your agent finally finds out you were blacklisted because you turned down that producer. You cant tell on him because you have no proof, its your word against his. This is where you discover your word isn't as good because the producer will do anything to discredit you including saying that you are just angry about being fired for incompetence while citing your act of roles since then. So here you are unable to follow your dream and without any marketable skills. Sure you can get a job in a theater but that wont pay you anything, or perhaps you can get lucky and get on a tv show but when you are blacklisted then tv might be a pipe dream as well. I guess what I am getting at is try to see the world from the victim's point of view and never blame them. Even if the victim is partially to blame the predator never should have done it to begin with.
