Shit doesn't look good, guys...
This was a serious question. What do you want to do about it?I'm doing my reasonable part (e.g. recycle what I can, trying not to waste electricity/water, etc) but it doesn't really matter in the end. I could live in the woods like a nomad and eat roots only and it wouldn't make the slightest difference in the end. In the end it's up to the bigger players like the govt to do things like replace coal plants with less polluting ones (nuclear power is not all bad) or subsidize eco-friendly businesses and investments. At this point we've likely already crossed the threshold of doing something about it. At this point, we'd probably need a very serious global wide initiative for "climate reversal" to make any kind of difference. Even if humans disappeared tomorrow I fear the runaway greenhouse effect is already here. Scientists have already screamed at us from the top of their lungs for years. It got about 2.5 minutes of news time and then everyone went back to their daily lives of not giving any fucks.

Shit doesn't look good, guys...
Dude, I've been thinking about this the last few months. Where I'm from, it should have been snowing at least a month ago. Or at least it should be far, far, FAR colder. I was just camping a few days ago near Palisades dam. That's absolutely unheard of this time of year. That place should be covered in snow but it's dry as a bone. The reservoir is already much lower than normal and they had to release a lot more water because the water in the river was getting too hot for the fish to survive. I have a feeling that my area will be having a drought next year. There's simply not enough snow, not enough water. It still hasn't snowed one flake in the valleys or plains. I mean shit, it basically feels like summer here. You don't even need a coat to go outside and that's fucking alarming in November around here. Scientists have been screaming at us for years and nobody has listened at all. They still aren't and will continue to ignore the impending apocalypse. This is why I say, at least I will get to know how the world ends. Something I've always been curious about. What do you want to do about it? [TROLL] I feel the issue is that it is far too cold for us to live there. We can probably increase our pollution output, and build massive heaters up there to warm it up faster so we can start settling up there. Plus Santa gave me coal one year, so fuck him. [/TROLL] Way too cold. The temp just dropped to under 50F in Las Vegas and it's too cold for me. My daughter in Denver tells me it's in the 20's there. Yikes... we're gonna have a cold winter this year. I want to know how much these guys are getting paid to watch water freeze and ice melt. Obama should have given those jobs to all the coal miners he forced his unemployment on. Trump's coming and the long nightmare will end. I don't understand all this concern about polar bears. Polar bears hibernate... wake up... eat seals... make more polar bears... and then hibernate again. If all the polar bears died, the only thing that would happen is seals would smile more. Read my comment. Complete opposite of yours. Also, there's a reason we call it climate change now instead of global warming. I lived in Vegas for a while and it was incredibly hot. Couldn't stand the summers, at least not outside during the day. Though it does look like you guys are chilling around the 60's in the day time right now.

Favorite "Ancient" Culture
This is a hard choice. There are so many cool ancient cultures. I can't really pick one. But a few favorites: Vikings for their hard lives and sea fairing accomplishments. Egyptians for their extremely old and mysterious architectural megaliths. China for their ancient history of competing dynasties and philosophical ideas. Japan for the samurai culture and cool mythologies. Rome for their politics accomplishments. Mostly though, I find greatest interest in the very ancient megalith cultures. Like Egypt or the early Indo-European cultures that spread into Europe like the Beaker culture. The ancient cultural phenomena of building megaliths is amazing and confusing.

Make the UK Great Again
My wife and I make a pretty comfortable life. We spend the least amount of time possible doing that. We spend most of our time doing exactly what we want to do, at any given time. Example: She's on a 7 day cruise right now with her Mother, while I'm here talking with you. Reason I'm not there: I would rather chew glass than be trapped on a floating buffet, for 7 days, with my Mother-in-law. We avoid drama, keep a small circle of close friends, never interfere with anyone's lives, and make absolute sure that no one interferes with ours. We smile constantly. We love our lives, and spend no time on worry, indecision, or being "confused". We see Progressives as the biggest threat to our happiness. We do everything possible to prevent them from changing our lives... and we do it while smiling. That to me, is a great America, and that would make any country great. Sounds simple. Talk crap on lefties being miserable all you want, but for the most part, I think it might be because we don't live such simple lives. You strike me as someone who lives in a rural area and doesn't exactly go out of his way to meet people. Which wouldn't be bad. Just probably not the way many liberals live. IMO Hillary and Trump are both equally terrible in their own ways. The one thing I can give to Trump that I seriously like is his opinion toward Russia, which is in a way, personal to me. But in actual response to your comment, what exactly do you not like about progressivism? IMO, progressivism is our only hope as a species. Can I answer that too? I love everything that Wikipedia article lists... Unfortunately too many who call themselves "progressives" are happy to curtail free speech, brand opinions they don't like as "-ist" or "-phobe" and are generally very intolerant of opinions not closely mirroring their own. This has become somewhat mainstream behavior with the American left, Europe only being slightly better. True. I think you might be thinking more along the lines of SJW's though. Whom IMO are just intolerant leftists. Funny enough, they seem to often express themselves as privileged college students, complaining about the privileges they don't even even realize they have. Other than that, many other progressives might seem intolerant because we press for constant change rather than statisticism. But I don't think most of us are intolerant. I think it's more fair to say we just cant stand the staticism of conservatism and by definition, will always oppose it.

America great again? Serious question.
Don't think for a second that I am saying there will be no such thing as "global cataclysm", because there will be. This planet we live on has come to life, destroyed itself, come back to life, and destroyed itself... no less than 4 times in the last few billion years. What I am saying is it will happen again, and there is nothing we can do about it. It's not "climate change"... it's "planet change". We need to invest in a way to live off this planet before it dies again. NASA was pretty damn good at things like that. At any time, the crust can burst open and fill our atmosphere with methane gas and kill everything. At any time, the sun can burp a flare and burn everything up... this is just a couple things that can go horribly wrong. Just be happy while you're here. No one ever thinks about how damn lucky we are to even be alive. Canik... you are talking to me about pollution? You should have seen the Los Angeles basin in the early 70's... it was like trying to see through pea soup. We cleaned it all up for you. We did that. Now everyone says we didn't do enough. Yes we did. The bigger concern is the Holocene extinction event which is entirely in our hands. And just because climate change is more outside our hands, doesn't mean we should ignore it. India took an ass whooping with heat waves this year. Not sure how many people died but I believe it's at least over 1,000. When pavement starts turning into soup, that's not good.

America great again? Serious question.
America has almost always been "great" and never stopped. "Make America great again" is just a nationalist slogan/rallying cry, implying a completely undefined problem.

How do I stop getting this box to appear when I click and drag mouse
- TRUMP WINS!
I would have voted for Jill Stein but meh. If Trump were a CN player, he'd probably be like Methrage or Tywin at best. Or one of the countless noobs who've tried to declare war on NPO for "being too big" at worst.- TRUMP WINS!
And Hillary wanted to start a war with Russia. So we know which douche bag is in charge. Congratulations America! We fucking suck!- The New Atheist Movement - what we are blabbering about
I think the world could benefit from a Pantheist perspective of their existence. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethics_(Spinoza)#God_or_Nature- I'll argue for anything
Even suggesting that almost triggered me. Am I a militant environmentalist? That makes me feel bad. But at the same time it doesn't. Global warming isn't real! Did that trigger you? (Not my actual beliefs) Almost, yes. Course I've also been drinking so it doesn't take much ATM.- I'll argue for anything
Even suggesting that almost triggered me. Am I a militant environmentalist? That makes me feel bad. But at the same time it doesn't.- I'll argue for anything
This does make for an open mind though. I used to do similar things. It can be fun.- I'll argue for anything
Argue for why red is objectively better than blue.- Presidential Debates
Yup. They will probably keep increasing every year in higher iterations as much as they can get away with. Insurers increased premiums by an average of 7.5% from 2014-2015. This year it's an average increase of 22%. Ever since Obamacare was implemented, insurance companies profits have dropped and competitors have been forced out the market leaving less competition. So prices are going up, rather than down.- Presidential Debates
Am I the only worried about this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmE9Jj-rEVs And the fact that Hillary actually wants said "no fly zone". After Libya we know that her "no fly zone" is just a clever way of saying "all out bombing campaign against the government". I think I actually want Trump to win, and I didn't think I'd ever say that.- Presidential Debates
Yup. Obamacare is really nothing but forcing people to pay for the same unaffordable crap we already had. Meanwhile, Hillary wants to start WW3. I actually feel conservative as fuck right now.- Presidential Debates
Just throwing this out there: After all this talk about the "no fly zone", I actually almost want Trump to win.- Cod Infinite Warfare
Black Ops 1 was one of my favorite CoD's. I agree it has gone downhill from there, however MW3 in my opinion was not terrible. I liked BO1 better, but I can say I enjoyed MW3 and playing it. Any games following that has sucked. Now that they've gone to this exo boosting BS and people are flying around like Halo, and ultimate abilities, it has transformed into something completely different then what it use to be, and something I cannot get behind. I've been saying for years they need to move from all this advance warfare and future shit and do a game back from an older era...seems Battlefield listened to people. I continued to buy hoping a new CoD would bring me back to the enjoyment I once had with it...but unfortunately it continues to be a let down for which I'm done. Especially after playing the Beta where everything didn't even look like real life or reality and now someone can jump around on their hands and knees like a monkey and kill people, I'm done. https://twitter.com/tmartn/status/788067961311559681 Welcome to the new CoD Survival is really the only thing I liked about MW. Aside from WaW BO1 is my favorite. Mostly because of one small detail in multiplayer. The tomahawk. Best thing ever put into a CoD game. It's been forever since I've played any of them, but I think a later one had something similar like a knife or something. In any case, the tomahawk was something I really had fun with. And yeah, the whole exo suit boost jumps were pretty dumb. They've done a good job on creating story lines in the campaigns but the gameplay just keeps going downhill.- Battlefield 1
Any terrible problems like the last 2?- Cod Infinite Warfare
BO1 was the last CoD worth playing IMO. - TRUMP WINS!
