  1. I have no shame saying that this was the most perfect response. Really the OP is too much information. We really didn't need to know that and it's none of our business... unless you think this is a dating site. It's not.
  2. OMG! I believed it too. I bet your facebook friend is the guy who fact checked Braveheart and ruined it for everyone.
  3. Only you would investigate a joke email a friend sent me. jeez. I just thought it was funny.
  4. It's time again for the annual 'Stella Awards'! For those unfamiliar with these awards, they are named after 81-year-old Stella Liebeck who spilled hot coffee on herself and successfully sued the McDonald's in New Mexico , where she purchased coffee. You remember, she took the lid off the coffee and put it between her knees while she was driving. Who would ever think one could get burned doing that, right? That's right; these are awards for the most outlandish lawsuits and verdicts in the U.S. You know, the kinds of cases that make you scratch your head. So keep your head scratcher handy. Here are the Stellas for the year 2013: SEVENTH PLACE Kathleen Robertson of Austin, Texas was awarded $8000 by a jury of her peers after breaking her ankle tripping over a toddler who was running inside a furniture store. The store owners were understandably surprised by the verdict, considering the running toddler was her own son. SIXTH PLACE Carl Truman, 19, of Los Angeles , California won $74,000 plus medical expenses when his neighbor ran over his hand with a Honda Accord. Truman apparently didn't notice there was someone at the wheel of the car when he was trying to steal his neighbor's hubcaps. FIFTH PLACE Terrence Dickson, of Bristol, Pennsylvania , who was leaving a house he had just burglarized by way of the garage. Unfortunately for Dickson, the automatic garage door opener malfunctioned and he could not get the garage door to open. Worse, he couldn't re-enter the house cause the door connecting the garage to the house locked when Dickson pulled it shut. Forced to sit for eight, count'em, EIGHT days and survive on a case of Pepsi and a large bag of dry dog food, he sued the homeowner's insurance company claiming undue mental Anguish. Amazingly, the jury said the insurance company must pay Dickson $500,000 for his anguish. We should all have this kind of anguish. FOURTH PLACE Jerry Williams, of Little Rock, Arkansas, garnered 4th Place in the Stella's when he was awarded $14,500 plus medical expenses after being bitten on the butt by his next door neighbor's beagle - even though the beagle was on a chain in its owner's fenced yard. Williams did not get as much as he asked for because the jury believed the beagle might have been provoked at the time of the butt bite because Williams had climbed over the fence into the yard and repeatedly shot the dog with a pellet gun. THIRD PLACE Amber Carson of Lancaster, Pennsylvania because a jury ordered a Philadelphia restaurant to pay her $113,500 after she slipped on a spilled soft drink and broke her tailbone. The reason the soft drink was on the floor: Ms. Carson had thrown it at her boyfriend 30 seconds earlier during an argument. Only two more... SECOND PLACE Kara Walton, of Claymont , Delaware sued the owner of a night club in a nearby city because she fell from the bathroom window to the floor, knocking out her two front teeth. Even though Ms. Walton was trying to sneak through the ladies room window to avoid paying the $3.50 cover charge, the jury said the night club had to pay her $12,000, oh yeah, plus dental expenses. Go figure. Ok. Here we go!! FIRST PLACE This year's runaway First Place Stella Award winner was: Mrs. Merv Grazinski, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma , who purchased new 32-foot Winnebago motor home. On her first trip home, from an OU football game, having driven on to the freeway, she set the cruise control at 70 mph and calmly left the driver's seat to go to the back of the new Winnebago to make herself a sandwich. Not surprisingly, the motor home left the freeway, crashed and overturned. Also not surprisingly, Mrs. Grazinski sued Winnebago for not putting in the owner's manual that she couldn't actually leave the driver's seat while the cruise control was set. The Oklahoma jury awarded her, are you sitting down? $1,750,000 PLUS a new motor home. Winnebago actually changed their manuals as a result of this suit, just in case Mrs. Grazinski has any relatives who might also buy a motor home. Can't wait for 2014.

  6. You are so right... thanks for digging deeper into what I said 6 months ago. 9/11 scared the shit out of a lot of people, and they were willing to sell their freedom by the pound for false security. Now they are saying "stop", and you can't get the genie back in the bottle. They use the weakness and fears of the monumentally stupid to buy votes and hold on to power. If Obamacare is so good for America... why do they keep delaying every aspect of the law that's intended to pay for it?
  7. I was hacked twice in WoW... I always got all my stuff back. Blizzard sent me an authenticator and I have never had a problem since.
  8. They are introducing a new Crusader class. I'm a Demon Hunter fan myself. I was never a huge fan of Diablo since D1. It was always so repetative and sleepy, but 3 did breathe new life into it. I've always been more of a strategy zealot and I was crazy about early WarCraft and StarCraft. But we play the hand that Blizzard deals us.
  9. If anyone plays Diablo 3, I've been smashing it pretty hard the past couple weeks to gear up for the Reaper of Souls expansion. My real ID on battle.net is DarienCrow#1999 and all my toons are named Lysistrata. It would be great to have people to run with. Send up a flare.
  10. Push the quote button on the Zipflash post and then type "This ^^^" under it. There is not enough money to steal that can take care of everyone's everything. When the world gets tired of our indulgence and we lose our world reserve statis... we'll crash overnight. Wake up and save your future.
  11. Bad news for The Hunger Games Philip Seymour Hoffman Rest in Peace... he will be missed.
  12. I guess your nation has a receding adult population. No one lives past the age of 10. Results of steroid poisoning.
  13. Yeah but the real target would be those hidden nuke silos right between the baseball diamond and that combination football-track field.
  14. Why do I instantly think aerial bombing photo?
  15. Actually about 20 of my ex-WoW guild came out to Las Vegas for a few days last year. I don't know how things are anymore but flights and rooms out here used to be dirt cheap. I'm sure we can find out. Allegiant and Southwest are reasonable. Let me know if I can help.

I nominate Yates... Beer expert and mega talented. My favorite beer... Guinness by far.
  17. In short Sir, I'm in Las Vegas. I firmly believe that private investors and the free market are the solutions to our stagnant economy. The Government takes (steals) money from people who earn it, gives it to people that don't earn it (their friends), and they don't care what happens to the money, because it's not their money. They just go get some more. Nothing is gained when there is no profit, and nobody cares until someone creates a way for there to be a profit. I am no economist and George Bush did a very bad thing paying for two wars on the credit card. He just didn't want the American people to "feel" like we were at war. End result... about 4 trillion added to the debt in 8 years. Bad George... no biscuit. Along comes Obama... 7 trillion in 5 years with 3 to go. It's not working. What happens when the Fed stops printing money to prop the DOW? What happens when interests rates go up? And they must go up sometime... the money is worthless when it's free. What happens if the rest of the world decides our money is just no good anymore and the dollar is no longer the world reserve currency? It all collapses and we're standing around burning tires cooking rats on a spit. Not my vision of the American Dream. With all our efforts since 2009, Obamacare has done more harm to itself in the last 3 months than we could ever do. Obama is repealing his own law a little more each day. Glorious.
  18. 1995 Vampire the Masquerade When was the last time you participated in a Live Role Playing Game?
  19. Hello Mr. Yates, I'm a member of the Republican Party. There is no such thing as a political party called The Tea Party. Many have tried to claim leadership and some have even tried to run under the label. They are phonies. It's been tried before, and some even say Ron Paul started it. He didn't. Snagging a web domain doesn't make you an authority on a movement. The Tea Party of 2009 resulted in names like Marco Rubio, Ron Johnson, Scott Brown, Chris Christie, Mike Lee, Alan West, Rand Paul, and I can go on for quite awhile but I don't need to. They are all Republicans. Even though I agree with every item on your little list... they are not why the Tea Party of 2009 was created. The Tea Party of 2009 included Republicans, Libertarians, Democrats and Independents. Conservatives each and every one of them. They were there to stop Obamacare and to unite for fiscal responsibility. Anything else you may have heard is a personal agenda. I don't agree that New Deal spending ended the depression. It made the depression impossible to end. WWII ended the depression by employing everyone. It will be chicken scratch compared to the depression that will happen if we don't get the debt under control. Oh before I go... nobody defines me... including great people I meet on game forums.
  20. Absolutely Sir. I would love to share thoughts. I am honored that you would ask.
  21. The point was what the Tea Party was created for. The reason for it's exsistance. The Constitution is the Law and the foundation of the USA. Everyone has to abide by that. It's a document that is designed to limit Government power over the people. We use the Constitution to legitimize our exsistance and our direction. My wife and I were in Washington DC 9/12/09 with Senator Jim DeMint. The first Tea Party March. I need no one to tell me what we are about.
  22. Woah. Let's take it down a notch. I think Sim intended to make a silly joke but it touched a nerve. That said, take a look at tonight's Daily Show. There's a series of clips from FOX News that actually makes Sim's point. It makes FOX News look really REALLY silly. And it's hard to take them serious when they embarrass themselves like that. I feel the same way about our party. I don't even know what the current Republican Party is. They are so out of touch with the world that I find it extremely difficult to identify with them anymore. And every time they kowtow to the Tea Party crazies I feel like another piece of the party dies. This, however, isn't the point of the thread. I still maintain that the biggest surprise here was GQ interviewing a hillbilly. I watch Jon Stewart when I want a good laugh. He's good at it. But he has a hard on for Fox and pulls clips that he can take out of context and exploit. It's his schtick and he's welcome to it... you know... freedom of speech? Which is the real thread topic. I would NEVER look to Jon for news... he's a comedian. I'm so sorry to hear this... I'm one of those Tea Party crazies you speak of so sharply. The Tea Party was created for 2 reasons, and 2 reasons only. All the rest is what opponents wanted people to believe and are all lies. Reason number 1 is to stop Obamacare... period. Number 2 is to stop the out of control Government spending. That is all... Nothing else. Anything other than that are all Lies. What is so crazy about that?
