Texas Justice II - GAME OVER!

Endgame - CLICK ME

TEXAS JUSTICE II

During the night, you hear a shot echoing from the town hall. Each townsperson alerts the other, and slowly a small crowd of people, each carrying a rifle, run to the hall. Slowly, carefully, you search the hall. Entering the Mayor's office, you see Mole Stargazer shot dead, his blood leaking all over his desk. Clutched in his hand is a note, written in a hurried scrawl.

"People!

The town is not safe! The mafia are about to kill me, I've not given them money.

Find them! Shoot them! Hur

The note trails off into a scribble, adorned with blood. Looking around with a shudder, you realise there are Mafia amongst you. The doors are slammed shut, and the rifles are readied - but you're willing to try discussion first.

I think that I can say that Jesus is probably still most people's preferred shootee. However, perhaps it is best to revote, seeing how is SJ is somehow townie, that could really screw us over (don't think it would be over yet, although I haven't thought to hard on the math). I think for my vote, I'd probably have to vote for Circufnwe to shoot SJ. I'm looking at it this way. Kevin seems most likely town, Naris I'm leaning on as being town. And then there's myself. And the other person with a bullet being Circufnwe. I'm thinking something like this. Circufnwe would shoot either SJ or CD (most likely SJ), then I'd shoot either the survivor or Circufinwe, then we have Kevin / Naris. If my gut is right on both of them, they would aim for the two survivors and town would win.

However, there's still a decent chance that scum still have one bullet due to us not being able to get scum to this point. It's that one possible bullet that will be impossible to predict. But I would warn everybody to keep their eye out for anything that may seem out of line in the potential shooting outcomes that will happen.

My vote is for Vgmmaster to shoot Sir Jesus. I choose Vgmmaster only because of the suggestion of abandoning the plan. I realize that's not a very strong scum tell because 2 players have abandoned the plan and one has proven to be townie.

My second choice for shooter is Curufinwe. This choice is for the revote suggestion which looked like an attempt to save Falzis. Falzis was proven townie so maybe it was an attempt to save Sir Jesus. If Sir Jesus ends up townie ... I don't even want to think of that!

Alive:

1. Sir Jesus ( )

3. vgmmaster (Bullet)

4. Curufinwe (Bullet)

7. CanucksDynasty ( )

9. KevinH (Bullet)

Not:

molestargazer, MAYOR, shot dead in the night.

Aquinas, TOWNIE, shot dead.

Electric Mango, TOWNIE, shot dead.

Falzies, TOWNIE, shot dead.

Alright...so let's use some logic shall we?

First, one of SJ or CD has to be scum. Unless the scum are stupid enough to not have shot the two townies with bullets by now, then that has to be true. Why? Because scum could win the game right now if they both had bullets left.

Personally, my gut says SJ.

So the question now becomes...who shoots him?

To be honest...my gut seems to keep saying that Kevin is scum. It has been for a fair part of the game. People have been giving him a free pass more or less simply because he suggested a plan that was considered game-breaking. However, in the mafaiscumwiki that very strategy is listed as one of the game-breaking methods for Texas Justice.(http://mafiascum.net/wiki/index.php?title=Texas_Justice) Anyone that was willing to do a bit of research could have easily seen that.

So anyway...I think that Kevin should shoot SJ.

Sadly I agree with this, that kevin should shoot, I know that this could backfire on me horribly, but my gut agrees, and when you have two scum out there you have to go with your gut.

...

Alright...so let's use some logic shall we?

Inconspicuously missing is Narsis (Bullet).

Scum tell? Maybe, maybe not.

I agree that if the scum had two bullets, they would win right now so either Sir Jesus or CanucksDynasty (or both) must be scum.

We therefore have three townie bullets and one scum bullet (or maybe zero scum bullets, but that doesn't matter)

We probably won't be able to convince the scum to shoot their last bullet so I'm happy to take the shot. I think we have this won anyway. If you can believe I am townie, follow these instructions and we win.

Case 1: I shoot Sir Jesus and he is not scum.

Then we know that CanucksDynasty must be scum. A townie should shoot him (no vote required, the town will win). That will leave one townie bullet and one scum bullet plus two townies without bullets. The townie with the bullet should shoot the other player with the bullet. Even if the scum is quick and shoots the townie with the remaining bullet, the town will win with a 2-1 advantage.

What will lose for the town is if the remaining townie with a bullet is convinced to shoot someone without a bullet who is a townie. Then the scum with a bullet can shoot any remaining townie and win because of the 1-1 tie at the end.

Case 2: I shoot Sir Jesus and he is scum.

We don't know at this point if CanucksDynasty is scum or not but it doesn't matter. The townies will outnumber the scum 5-1. If we continue shooting players without bullets, there's a chance the remaining scum could survive down to a 1-1 end and thus win. Instead, the next shot should be at a player with a bullet. If we get lucky, scum will be hit and we'll win.

If we hit a townie with a bullet, we're still OK. We'll have a 4-1 advantage: 3 players without bullets and 2 players with bullets. A remaining townie with a bullet should shoot the other player with a bullet. That will use up all the bullets and even if another townie gets killed, we will win 3-1.

My analysis shows that the town has this game won. Can anyone dispute this?

yes. the town does not win if we outnumber the scum and no bullets are left. i believe the scum win in that situation.

also that's odd. i copied the list from moles post.

After a query from a player, I can confirm that scum will win if they EQUAL or OUTNUMBER the town players, regardless of bullets.

Seems clear to me.

Can someone please explain the logic behind why either me or CD MUST be scum again?

If neither of you are scum, then the scum have two bullets left. If the scum have two bullets left, they can shoot the two townie bullets and win.

The town only needs to outnumber the scum.

We have a couple of assumptions that I believe to be true:

  • There are 2 scum
  • Either Sir Jesus or CanucksDynasty are scum

We can easily reduce the number of scum to 1.

We will win if we can run out of bullets with 2 townies left.

If there are 2 townies and 1 scum alive, then yes.

If you need ANY clarification on that rule at all, let me know.

Kind of been out of it the last few days, but I do think Kevin has the right idea as far as how the shooting should go down.

With that said, of the 3 of us with bullets (myself / Curufinwe / Narsis) who should be the one shooting CD? If I voted, I'd go for Narsis. Of course, it's probably best to wait to see the outcome of SJ first just to see if he is indeed scum or not. Part of the reason I am suggesting Narsis is this though. If we follow out with Kevin's plan, I'm on enough so should be able to shoot the other bullet holder if we go that route. As far as why I'd prefer Narsis to be the shooter of CD instead of the bullet holder (who Curu will be) is only because I suspect Curu more then I suspect Naris. So I feel this would give us a better shot of landing scum that way.

"Dammit, SHOOT!" Sir Jesus' panicky voice rings through the room. KevinH glances at him.

"Happy to." Sir Jesus' eyes widen in horror, as KevinH raises his rifle, takes steady aim, and fired. Sir Jesus staggers against the now bloodstained wall, coughing. He slides to the floor, coughing miserably. With one final gasping breath, he mutters "Silly bastards with your plan..". He coughs horribly, and many are forced to turn away in disgust as Sir Jesus coughs up blood. Finally, his eyes glaze over.

40 minutes later, the voice returns. "We've double-checked. He's town."

The five remaining folk look at one another coldly.

Sir Jesus, TOWNIE, has been shot.

oh the drama!

i most definitely am not firing now. at least not quite yet...

also vgm...that last post of yours has some inconsitencies. you want me, a person you suspect less, to lose my bullet. that doesn't make sense, especially that now we know CD is scum. i'd rather try to find the scum with a bullet left, if they still do.

So much for thinking SJ was town.

But anyways, yes, my post may sound a bit odd. But if we did the plan Kevin mentioned (which I'm a little unsure on now seeing as SJ came up as townie), I just was thinking you could fire the bullet. With my situation in real life, I can be around pretty much whenever, so if needed, I could shoot Curu asap. Not knowing your situation, I don't know how active / around you are and would be able to pull that off which is why I suggested that you could possibly be the shooter. I have no problem with being the next shooter myself if I'm wrong about your situation, I was just trying to think into the future on what may (hopefully) be better.

Anyways, as far as CD goes, my thought is, are we sure he's scum? I mean, yes, it's a 40% chance with 5 people being alive. If CD happens to be town, we would lose (I believe Mole said scum win if scum = town regardless of bullets). But thinking about it, I'm really becoming unsure on Kevin. Knowing the situation, he could say that SJ or CD must be scum. Seeing how SJ came up town, if CD becomes town, we fell into a trap. But yet, if CD is scum, that doesn't clearly say Kevin isn't. It could possibly be a sacrifice of a scum buddy, and if CD was scum, we would maybe be more willing to trust Kevin as town. Dunno really. But he's definitely gone up on the radar.

ok that part about CD and Kevin is like major WIFOM. it confused even me...

a part of me thinks that Curu should shoot. if he's the one you are so worried about why not take away his bullet? then you don't even need to worry about being online in time to take him out if he is scum.

so Curu shoots CD...

curu...

vgm...

Kevin...

me...

making one of you guys scum. my gut would lean Kevin.

so vgm shoots Kevin...

and if scum is still alive...

then its a toss up between vgm and curu...

Super-Duper-Extra-Strong-Finger of Suspicion: CanucksDynasty

Case 1: I shoot Sir Jesus and he is not scum.

Then we know that CanucksDynasty must be scum. A townie should shoot him (no vote required, the town will win). That will leave one townie bullet and one scum bullet plus two townies without bullets. The townie with the bullet should shoot the other player with the bullet. Even if the scum is quick and shoots the townie with the remaining bullet, the town will win with a 2-1 advantage.

Given the assumption of 2 scum, and given that the 2 scum didn't take the opportunity to win when they could have, CanucksDynasty must be scum.

It doesn't really matter who shoots him.

There are 2 townie bullets and 1 scum bullet remaining. If one of the bullets shoots CanucksDynasty and another bullet shoots the the last bullet, the town will win.

If one of the 3 remaining bullets shoots another bullet, it's possible that we will lose.
