TMCWPTI #2 - Game Thread

Featured Replies

Good analysis so far. I'm still sticking with cao cao and ccabal as my most suspicious and CD as my #3 pick. I still go with my gut that CD would not have been so vocal about lynching d3mon if CD was mafia.

At the time it was KevinH who was taking the most heat. Why would CD lead another charge when there was already a half majority vote on Kevin, a probable townie?

Nope, scum are scared to have their secret discovered. I think CD is likely townie and it's one of the other two or both.

Good point about CD's initiative - though when he first started pushing on d3mon he had no way of knowing d3mon would claim security guard. If he is scum, he could just keep up the 'suspicious roleclaim' direction - which is the same as he would do if he is town, due to how d3mon played. Youre probably right though that CD's boldness is something scum might avoid.

Also not posting much cuz of work and the long weekend holiday.

Same for this. I probably wont be on again until Sunday evening.

We'll have next week to make a decision so we're not TOO pressed for time yet. Also, whats the progress on the replacements? I havent seen anyone else in the thread yet...

If a scum is supposed to avoid boldness, then a scum should be bold to fool everyone. WIFOM!

Does that mean you're scum cuz you're BOLD in always voting no lynch on D1?

Was able to get on some tonight afterall!

lol CD.

Maybe I'm off-base thinking that; but I dont think scum would go THAT far out of their way to tie themselves to a particular lynch that they KNEW would be a townie, for fear of facing the obvious repercussion/suspicion that CD now does. Though d3mon's claim was definitely not your usual day 1 fare.

Also, since I didnt bold it before:

Mole: Do we have replacements for Narsis/Herodez coming in?

I try to play the same whether I'm scum or townie. Nevertheless, three players lynched a townie and are more likely candidates. We should lynch one of them.

Mega Catch-Up VOTE COUNT

Not Voting (10): CaoCao, AKCPLUTO, Preston, ccabal86, KevinH, CanucksDynasty, Electric Mango, reign of terror, TerrorChrist, Nerau

Edited by molestargazer

AKCPLUTO replaces Narsis with immediate effect.

Should have a replacement for Herodez, just need to get in touch.

What, no orange? :)

Welcome to AKCPLUTO then! Let's get you in here and posting.

Who done what?

Could someone recap the game for me please? Or wait...I'll get opening post.

OK, so 1 mislynch and 1 nightkill. Now what?

Cao Cao

4/1. Puts the 4th vote on KevinH. His reason, "I'm such a conformist". Later un-votes after people speak up on the dog piling of votes on Kevin.

4/6. Suspected TC may have been mafia janitor and found him suspicious.

4/6. Confirmed that TC was suspicious and also adds Kevin and Narsis to his list of suspects. Votes for TC.

4/11. Asks if it is worth while to no lynch in order to prove d3mons claim.

4/13. Votes d3mon and agrees with CD that it is better than no lynch and cites d3mons lack of recent posting as an added reason.

Post 4/13 D3mon makes several posts but cao cao remains silent until Day 2.

Ccabal86

random voting stage votes for d3mon and kept it there the rest of the day.

4/1. Speaks out against KevinH band wagon.

4/4. Says d3mon is suspicious over janitor issue.

4/6. Verifies that D is still acting suspiciosly.

4/9. States D should roleclaim to save his own skin.

4/11. Says D is acting increasingly suspicious.

4/12. Says no lynch would be optimal if we had a way to prove Ds townieness. Later says we don't have any good way to test it.

CD

I'm not going thru his posts, you know how I feel about him already. Basically very outspoken and moved the target away from a trusted townie to someone else.

===========================================

I would rank them in order of scumminess as follows:

1. Cao Cao

2. Ccabal86

3. Canucks Dynasty

will post some more thoughts on this soon.

While I try to play the same all the time, I think CD plays the same all the time, too.

He wrongly lynches townies on day 1 most of the time, whether he's scum or not. It always helps the scum, though.

I have him as most suspicious only because of his vanilla claim. I'm skeptical that any vanillas exist but if he truly is vanilla, it won't hurt us as bad as lynching a claimed security guard.

I def think there is one or two scum that voted for d3mon. I would rather lynch Cao Cao but it seems that more people want to vote CD. If I can't get enough people to vote for cao cao then I'll vote for CD too.
+1, EM. FOS: Canucks Dynasty. (BTW, what dynasty?)

TBH, if he didn't go inactive, I'd prefer voting for Narsis instead, unless he could come up with a VERY good explanation to support his D1 theory. But since he got replaced I believe we should give AKC a chance.

So, this means I'll end up voting for either CD or Cao Cao.

If you think I'm scum then go ahead and lynch me. I said I'm vanilla so it won't hurt the town.

Looks like a lot has been said today. I like the summaries EM, as that saves me the trouble of going back and looking through posts - which I really dont have the energy to do right now.

My suspicion list remains largely unchanged from my previous post, and per my previous post I dont feel strongly about ANY of them.

I listed CD as my most suspicious thus far, and agree with KevinH in suspecting we have few if any vanilla townies this time around based on the roles we've observed thus far - I asked CD about his roleclaim earlier in the day and he said he was not fakeclaiming. However I'm not sure that lynching CD based on the excuse "it wouldnt hurt as much since he's vanilla townie" is exactly accurate. Yes, he might not have a power role - but vanilla or not his analysis is VERY helpful; might almost call that a role in itself. However, Kevin DOES make a valid point that as scum CD would also behave in the same manner. I'm also not sure how to take CD's repeated "lynch me if you want" statements; whether he literally means that or not, if he's town I dont see why he would be setting himself up like that and giving people - even scum - an excuse to lynch him and then deny it saying that he said we could.

Cao cao seems to have been largely silent on day 2. I'm of two minds about this; either trying to lie low, or simply inactive? Would scum be MORE likely to be active, or less? I want to hear at least SOME opinion/defense/suspicion list from cao cao before I cast my vote. If only CD and ccabal present their sides then it's not a really fair comparison.

Ccabal isn't really a frontrunner for me at present; EM's list does highlight how ccabal openly suspected d3mon, but I cant really criticize that due to how d3mon acted - same as with CD and cao cao.

If I had to vote RIGHT NOW I would probably flip a coin between cao cao and CD; the former's inactivity works both for and against him, while the latter has been playing as well as one would expect if he were either scum OR town. So to break this stalemate I'll wait for cao cao to say something on day 2 - possibly hear more from Nerau and Herodez's replacement too (whenever that happens).

Still not entirely trusting E-M, I went through this list to see whether we aren't being manipulated, and I came across something else:

Woah, some unusually quick bandwagonig going on here. If I were a betting man, I'd say there's probably a scum among those voting for KevinH at this moment.

A quick lynch is definately not in our interest.

I'm inclined to agree with CD and Preston that we should probably lynch someone this day. Going off of last game's experience there is not much sense in waiting around for the investigators to come across something - it may never happen and even the results may be misleading, just think of CD's ability or my highly confusing "Curious Child" role.

By the end of the game we were technically down to a constant LYLO (heh, I like this acronym unlike WIFOM which sounds stupid) and town only won by a thread.

Both are on page 3.

Now knowing that D3mon turned out innocent, I see his suspecting me in a different daylight. And so, also CCabals responses.

He also edited a post in the beginning, which is a noobie thing to do. If I did it, it might be understandable, as I *AM* Noob here. But this guy has been registered in 2009. So by now, he should know the drill.

So my conclusion so far: the list E-M made contains no lies, but it is also not entirely complete. However, running through this, I have a strong FOS towards ccabal86.
