How long have you been on the Day 1 No Lynch band wagon? Granted, I haven't played Mafia recently, but KevinH is the only person I remember playing with that has always been a staunch supporter of that strategy. Please correct me if I'm wrong but if you've suddenly changed your playing style then I would find that suspicious.

 

Its nothing new.. I have been supporting no lynch on day 1 since my second game. IIRC, I got lynched on day 1 in my first game but I think I was supporting no lynch back then too (or maybe I ended up trying to do that to save my neck )

I find it rather interesting that reign of terror hasn't said a word since he voted and hasn't been picked up on or did I miss something?

I'm still here, but I outlined my strategy for at least the first day in that post and haven't found anything that has been posted since then strong enough to sway my position.

I'm gonna go on the bet that there is a cop and he gets lucky before a lynch or lose situation.

I take it that this is the last post you were referring to. Assuming the cops exists, it is more likely than not that his night action produces a townie and not a scum. What will your plans be going into Day 2?

The chance of finding a mafia with the cop gets progressively bigger and bigger if the cop isn't killed. I'm guessing that the doc will protect the cop every night and the cop will investigate and possibly role-claim as to not get lynched.

It's a fair argument, but the problem is that a majority has to vote no-lynch for this to work.

That is the post I was referring to. On Day 2 we will at least have a night kill and something to go on even if the cop doesn't find scum. So my plan is to wait until we at least know who the scum targeted then we can make an educated guess instead of just throwing random accusations like we are now.

Seems like no consensus is being reached as to what to do next. Reminder to those not voting that there's probably 3 scum in the game..the last game had 2 mafia and 1 God father. So 3 of them voting can lynch a townie if others sit on the fence undecided or have their votes split. So I am switching my vote.

I am glad though that we do have this discussion to look back on in future days to find the scum, instead of the quick no lynch that almost happened.
