A strange twist to "follow the cop".
If the night kills are forced kills by random players, why wouldn't we go all the way down to four?
If a scum gets a chance to kill, they will target the cop and we'll start lynching from there.
Im sure there are night kills other than the random ones. Like how imran was cured. so the scum have to have something else, right? if not, that just seems like they would be a little too underpowered.

If we lynch the cop, we'll get information about 3 of the 11 remaining players.
We'll know nothing about the other 8 players.
If we don't lynch the cop, we'll get information about 4 players with 10 or 11 players remaining.
Even if random killings occur and take out those he has investigated, he can stay 3 ahead.
When there are only 4 players left, it will be time to lynch the cop.
He's now 3 ahead.
If 1 random killing doesn't take out someone he investigated, he'll be 4 ahead and we can lynch him when there are 5 left.
If 2 random killings don't take out someone he investigated, he'll be 5 ahead and we can lynch him when there are 6 left.
If 3 random killings don't take out someone he investigated, he'll be 6 ahead and we can lynch him when there are 7 left.
...
The point is that we should not lynch the cop. If he doesn't die, we have the best chance of winning.
There's a chance that when it gets down to 6, that 3 of the revealed investigations would be scum. But just like any other game, it best to play the odds.

If I was scum, I would want to be revealed so my scum buddies could remain anonymous.
After the cop gets more investigations, nobody will be anonymous and scum will be lynched.
As I think about this, all we really need is a majority to be investigated and then revealed at the cop's death.
If there are no scum revealed, the majority can then pick off the uninvestigated with lynches.
If there are scum revealed, the uninvestigated townies will join the investigated townies and lynch the scum until the investigated townies are in the majority and where they can then proceed to pick off the rest of the uninvestigated.
Town wins.

Supposedly Alternate has no idea the outcome of his investigations either. so far as I could tell from his roleclaim. So his voting will have no real insight more then any of the rest of us.
Except that he is our only "confirmed" townie, or at least the closest we have. I'd be more keen to follow someone in his position whether he knows what he is doing or not.
