I guess evolution only happened to humans. Those chimps must have missed the evolution train. I would have a hard time explaining to my friend that her teacup poodle is a domesticated wolf, and I do believe there were no white people in America, or Australia, until Europeans arrived. Similarly, as I understand it, there were no horses in America until Europeans brought them here. Since my father was a pretty famous jockey, and I grew up with horses all around me, I am very grateful to our ancestral Europeans... they made everything on this planet so much better, everywhere they went. Amazing what a little talent and culture can do. Silly to have such discussions in a Republican Debate thread.

 

How 'bout that Marco Rubio? I thought Rand Paul had a strong debate also, but his foreign policy has already killed his chance.

If I roll four balls down a cliff, and they end up in different locations because one hit an outcrop and bounced differently, or a gust of wind hit another, the fact they are in different locations does not demonstrate that they were not rolled down the cliff. Ok its a clumsy metaphor, but it works.

 

This. Divergent and Convergent Evolution. Many plants that are worlds apart have same morphology and anatomy due to similar atmospheric conditions while not being in the same family.

Oh you're talking about planned parenthood? Well I think it comes under Affordable Health for all so the govt. is subsidizing those. As for choosing, I won't chose but I do believe that people should be allowed to chose whether they want to live or not. I mean ppl who are completely paralyzed can't possibly want to live like that. Those that do are free to do so and those that don't shouldn't be forced to live in a nightmare.

 

Do you know any Mexicans? Didn't think so. I know Mexicans, I'm friends with Mexicans... lots of Mexicans. They are an amazing people, and really good food. Most are very family oriented, hard working, and very Catholic... especially the women. Going to the doctor for anything other than a life threatening event... is not affordable at all.

 

And it shouldn't be that way. So Obama is trying to change that. I don't know exactly what is wrong here, I mean do you have to pay more taxes now so is that hurting the pockets of general ppl?

 

Each State has their own minimum wage... do you understand? There is no need for a Federal minimum wage.

 

I understand that its a state's rights issue. Maybe you're right but personally I won't mind a strong central govt. w/ direct control over finances. I think it'd be helpful if min wage is raised it could mean more taxes wouldn't it?

Hi Rafay... We used to be able to see a doctor for anything. You get a chest or ear infection, you go to the doctor, pay a small co-pay, and the prescriptions cost $5.00. The deductible was $1,000 for the year. That's all gone now. We still get our insurance through my wife's employer... I'm self employed, but the deductible is now $3,000 and prescriptions are no longer covered. Many employers have dropped health coverage and just pay the fine. Offering health insurance is no longer a nice benefit for employers to offer their employees... it's a government mandated money pit that is way too expensive... so they just pay the fine. The individual mandate is a joke... if you say you have insurance, there is no penalty... so you really don't even have to do it. It just makes everyone a liar. The only people that have made out like bandits is expanded Medicaid... that's the poor getting everything free.

 

So in reality, you have more people getting less healthcare, and a choice of what equals to an extra car payment for life, or lying to the government. Who came up with this? All Democrats... not a single Republican vote. It's the stupidest thing that has ever been done by the US Government. I would have just offered for anyone to be able to buy into Medicaid and leave everything else alone, but that would have been just too easy, and Democrats wouldn't have been able to screw up everyone's lives.

Thusfar "science" has controlled the weather by either shunning it (aka, indoors) or by provocking it (aka rainmakers). Nothing else has been either tried, let alone succeeded.

 

As for the "breaking planet cycle", sure. Sadly we are helping it along this cycle. This will be the third cycle (could be counting wrong, aint sure) in which the inhabitants of the planet made it happen. Believe me, the 2 former times I know off weren't done so blatantly intentionally.

I think you are correct Sir. All initiative to lead has been lost, and knowing what to do is above my pay grade. It looks like they killed "Jihadi John"... they will hold that up as a victory, but it's just propaganda, not a solution. I only see everything that gets touched as making things worse, so whatever happens I hope for the best for you and yours. The USA and the Russians being anywhere near each other is bad for everyone, anyone that lived through the 70's and 80's knows this. I believe we should stay away, but I don't think that will happen. It was/is Obama's "crowning achievement". That's why he is a joke. He even botched the legislation's rollout.

 

All the Affordable Care Act did was make health care too expensive for hard working people. To illustrate one thing Lysistrata mentioned with a personal experience of my own: After the Affordable Care Act was passed into law, my employer sent out a notice that our health care plan would no longer support our spouses because the rising costs were too great. We were told that our spouses could no longer be covered under our health plan UNLESS they did not have access to their own health insurance through their own employers. For this reason, my wife and I are on two separate health insurances. Two years (with health insurance premium costs rising) later and my company has now moved to a "self-funded" insurance plan.

 

This legislation hasn't done anything but cause hardship on America's working middle class. Any positive press that the legislation received was from the liberal media.

Sadly those don't excist in Russia (or anywhere else for that matter, seeing as made up terms for demographics usually are mere words to fill a university's PhD dissertation), or if they do, the KGBFSB will make short work of it.

I got a question for you... if humans evolved from apes, why are there still apes? Where are those half apes? Or did we all "evolve" at the same rate? I'm not a religious man, but I will never believe that any human is related to an ape. I believe humans are a unique species, and if we do not allow each other to be different, it will eventually destroy us all.

You got it wrong, humans ARE apes. Humans didn't evolve from the other ape species you see today, they evolved from a common ancestor that is now extinct. And yes, their remains were found.

EDIT: Actually, let me clarify that. As we are closest to chimpanzees in evolution, the sealing evidence would be to find the chimpanzee-human last common ancestor. So far, we haven't found the fossilized remains of this particular species, but, we have found plenty of fossils from earlier ancestors who have since become extinct.

Yes he did... Ted Cruz is a champion at debate, and anyone who knows him from his years at Princeton and Harvard are scared to death of him on a debate stage. Obama will never debate Cruz because he knows Cruz will destroy him and make him look like a bumbling fool. So Teddy takes the opportunity to show he's a coward and he has something to hide.

 

As far as the Republican debates go, Cruz has a brilliant strategy of remaining in the middle of the pack and staying on the main debate stage. Those at the top will either get boring, or burn out and fall. Those at the bottom will drop out. When he gets to where there are about 4 left he will absolutely shine as the one to nominate. Marco Rubio is the only one that is quick enough to compete with Cruz, but Rubio isn't as smart as Cruz, so we will see what happens.
