I believe what Fermion says. The things hes said and the fact that he's asking for a replacement only indicate someone who doesn't have time to keep up with how fast the discussion got in this game.

Id prefer lynching someone other than just an inactive but lowering the pool of inactives that scum can hide in now is better than trying to do it later.

I hate when people get really cheap and bring RL as an excuse: "I don't have time to play", "I don't care about this game anymore" ... yet they lurk on. That's the lowest scum can fall in order to save his hide (sure RL can hit anyone, but be honest as a player and state it as soon as it happens and not when you're about to get lynched).

That was my general thought...nothing about Fermion because he is sincere :P. He's not trying to hide but is asking for a replacement.

I think Robert might be a better target (though it would be better if he gets replaced) but for now I'd rather use option 3 that Lyner proposed and start another crusade.

That's based on a general feeling about him. He's just floating around, basically doing nothing, just making sure to show up from time to time (If I'm wrong feel free to correct me).

I don't know if I should counter argument this or just point out that most players in this thread are like that :P

Completely disagree with your first paragraph.

I also don't know why people are suddenly going from 1 inactive to the next.  Some have shifted from Fermion now to Robert...i don't see the logic.  Fermion is mostly inactive looking for a replacement, Robert is inactive, and Whitebeard is inactive (posted he was resigning from his positions).  The only different is Fermion and Whitebeard to me have both made comments that have come off a bit scummy where Robert has not.  So if I'm going to vote for an inactive, it's going to be someone I at least have a little to go on, not someone who hasn't said a peep.  I'm not so quickly to count people off as not scum because they're looking for a replacement or not, and I don't see the logic where it's better to vote Robert then Fermion or Whitebeard.  Will likely gain more from lynching one of those 2 then Robert, though with Robert being completely inactive I have no problem with him being killed.

My apologies. Thinking about it now, it was to harsh indeed. I generally find such explanation troubling because I can't tell whether it's true or just an evasion...but on the other hand wondering if someone would play dirty is kind of disrespectful towards that person.

As for voting Fermion there was not much on him and he explained himself well, so people are looking for other targets. Anyway it seems that town's run out of steam and we won't get much further.

Mandarijn is one of the perfect example, his last post is at 22 May 2016 and he has the same posts count as me, moreover, he's active and posting at the other mafia(we meta now) so it is a deliberate move.

I'm sure we can find more examples but come on, you need better reasons than that to accuse me :P

Being more active in another mafia thread which is on day 5 doesn't make it intentional. Not trying to say you are outright wrong, but its day one and as Kevin always says "nobody knows nuthin".

Therefore not contributing much on day one is kinda irrelevant unless you're just inactive

For me it's simple: Robert is inactive in both games. 0 posts here and we should get rid of him asap, power role or not. As he'll be useless to the town and might cost us the win...

Exactly. If a replacement comes along we can remove it.

Nah, I don't think it's a good example at all. You were supposed to show someone who "is just floating around, basically doing nothing, just making sure to show up from time to time" and your only argument is that he's not posted here for a few days :P? Also so far Mandarjin's post were a much better quality than yours (meaning more substantial and helpful to the town). He definitely wasn't floating around, he was among those that were trying to build a good strategy for the town.

But I'm sure you can find someone else (unless you want continue to debate on Mandarjin's posts) :P

Excuse me sir but that is a subjective evaluation of yours :P

On my perspective he is not any more helpful than you or me or anyone else except those who post fluff or just outright inactive, we've done what we can on day one and I'm content with my play for now

Now we just wait for the scum to put the last vote on either wagons:

Fermion (3): Imran Ehsan, Lyner, The Warrior,

Robert2424 (3): Mandarijn, Rafay, Chaplain of Death,

I wish you luck for my wagon, I'll keep this move of yours in mind for the next days :P

Deadline is in two days and we need to make a decision about what we want to do.

For me it's simple: Robert is inactive in both games. 0 posts here and we should get rid of him asap, power role or not. As he'll be useless to the town and might cost us the win...

I agree. The fact that Robert will not be any help at all (as well as Fermion's defense) has me considering switching to him. If no one else votes for him before Sunday I'll switch my vote.

At the risk of looking like a scum by 1) changing my stance and 2) making the lynching vote. I'll do it. Robert is way too inactive, there is lurking, there is harmless inactivity, and there is inactivity that harms the town no matter if he is town or scum. Robert's inactivity (can someone check on him? Is he having RL problems? I haven't seen him on other posts at all lately. Gotta make sure he's okay.) Hurts the town, despite his role. My problem is by lynching him, we don't get much information. He is simply being lynch for being inactive. He hasn't made any post at all for us to go off of. I honestly don't think anyone voting for him so far would be scum, why would scum want to wagon someone who provides no information?

Let's hope he's not the cop. That'd suck.

Unvote.

Vote Robert2424

I am not very comfortable with lynching someone completely inactive. I would rather they be replaced. If he has a power role he cant come and put up a defense.

Lurkers need to be lynched nit the inactives,

So what's helpful from your perspective? I'd really like to know, since you imply noone has done anything helpful yet (because let's say 7-8 people that are participating in the current discussion can't be equally helpful) :P. And if we've all done nothing helpful, why are you content with your play?

Us ganging up on some inactive guy does not spell success for me as far as D1 is concerned. Especially since there's not much to do at night (on top of that 2 guys are missing and if one of them happens to be a cop we're in trouble). We could probably do better (though I can't blame anyone for that).

Oh, and I'm not expecting (or willing) to go far on this wagon. For now I'm just trying to determine whether you're town on not ;).

This basically sums up mine.

At least others have posted some, Robert hasn't at all. But we'll see, if Robert is town, this is an easy lynch for Scum without drawing much attention to themselves, as a simple "yea lets vote an inactive," is not hard.

I still have more "gut" feelings off other people's posts and are pretty inactive then Robert with nothing. I get its a swing in the dark on D1, but I rather go off a hunch + inactive, then just voting because inactive. Though I likely see D2 looking like D1, so the likes of Robert/Whitebeard/Feemion are going to be top candidates for both days.

At this point Robert has 4, and enough to be lynched at deadline. There is no need to cast my vote, because since he reached 4 first he will be it unless someone voting Robert changes. My vote is open for the likes of Fermion or Whitbeard if Robert drops below 4 (those are the 2 I will vote for because both have given me reasonable suspicion)

Vote Robert2424

Ideally Scum would want to lynch a more active town, or one they can see likely to see through their posts/votes...but they aren't likely going to be able to get a wagon on those type of players without really selling themselves out on D1. It's a numbers game, and fact is, scum will take a lynch on D1 no matter the townie. Doesn't matter if they're active or not, they still knock off a town D1, and even more so, they can easily defend their vote by saying it was just for "inactivity," and they know lynching an inactive town won't give us much.

I don't expect a lot of scum involved in a lynch of a townie D1, but I bet there is at least 1. IMO, if whoever we do lynch D1 turns out town, i am betting 1 of them are scum.

Not any more helpful than the others, not 'not helpful'. This is day one and nobody knows nothing, any posts made are not significant unless it's about strategizing the night plan or trying to lynch someone, we've done both. The only helpful things to do now is not to be inactive and vote :P

Eh I disagree, I don't think we can lynch a scum on day one, so the point of the wagon is to just made some 'lines' for future reference

I'm not so sure about it. We've made a mistake by indicating we'll jump on a wagon if there are not enough votes, so why should they? We've made it comfortable for them (and I'm guilty of making such statements too). Unfortunately Robert didn't show up and lynching him wont get us far. Well, at least there's still possibility he was inactive scum but such small chance is not much comforting.

Again, D2 will not be different. Let's play a guessing game and assume we lynch Robert and he turns out to be a town. Then at night, lets say, KH is killed. What will you make out of it? Pretty much nothing. We need to put more effort than just being content with lynching inactives and waiting for the cop that may or may not yeld results.

But if you're so confident, please tell me what is your plan for the upcoming days? How do you imagine they'll play out?
