Oh please, don't be angry. I'm just trying to help you develop a better playstyle. If noone demands anything out of you, you'll be stuck with that lazy, scummy approach forever. If you get lynched few times because of that, who knows, maybe you'll put some more effort into your play making it more fun for everyone .

As for mafia roles, framer sounds cool but It's very situational. All it takes to avoid framing is cop not making obvious checks. I'm pretty sure mafia knows that and will spend most if not all of their points on their role cop.

That's what I was saying. The Framer isn't as strong of a role on night one (or probably even night two) because it would literally require our Cop to investigate the exact same person that the Framer visited that night. Chance of that happening on the first night (assuming a first day lynch) would be ~9.1% (1 in 11) or ~8.3% (1 in 12) without a first day lynch.

I actually want to discuss some kind of game plan for the town here. Should we let the cop use the 1st 2-3 night actions? He can't come out with his results early I think, BUT if he happens to get killed before he reveals his results, we're screwed... That Framer and Mafia Role Cop (who might also get the 1st 2-3 night actions from the Mafia) might be a game breaker as well. Or how do we want to play this? We have only 3 PR and potentially 6 night actions, where the cop is the most important one. I have no idea if/when it's or will be smart to use the other 2 roles?
 
I really have no clue how hard it'll be to win this game as the town and how different it'll be from the normal games.

On my phone so bare with me (Internet service is out.)

I feel the best strategy would be getting the cop to last until D3 (2 night actions.) Vigilante and Jail keeper (who in my opinion shold be treated like a VT) hold off and hopefully the cop and Vigilante last til D3. The cop releases the names and findings, because I don't think we should risk going into D4 with the cop dead and no information. If he finds a scum, Townes Lynch and Vigilante gets the next best guess. By D4, we should have a pretty good guess at whose scum. As for the framer, odds are the framer and cop won't hit the same person. I don't think that'll be much of a worry.

The best strategy for town on the first day is to not lynch anyone because there is no evidence and most of the evidence is basically conjecture or for lulz. This was discussed in my last game and I'm surprised to see that many of the same people who voted for this, actually have already voted for someone.  Ali bin turban as been especially eager to vote for a lynch even though he knows that a mislynch (highly probable at this point) would only hurt the town. This looks scummy to me. But as for the rest of his actions, they genuinely look good.

 

I'm not very sure about anyone at this point.

We need everyone to be active in this game. That means we need people like Rafay to post more regularly. This is a new format and with only 13 players in the game, having even one inactive will really hurt our chances, even more so if that person happens to have one of the three town power roles.

Very interesting setup. Townies have 4 power actions. This means the townies with power roles really need to pay attention to what we are posting and not go around using their actions every night (god..I hope rafay isnt one of those with a PR). They need to hold back and conserve their actions to be used at the most opportune times.

 

For Night 1,

- the Vigilante should not be using his power. He has a higher probability of hitting town shooting in the dark than with some info.

- the jailkeeper should not be using his power as well. He has a chance of blocking the cop. Jailing the framer and role cop also gives little benefit to the town for now as chance of framer and cop hitting the same target is very low and chance of role cop targetting a VT is also high.

- the cop should be using his power. The decision to who he should target should be based on posting patterns and scumminess indicators from D1. For example, my BS detector meter kept on going off the charts every time Rhizo posted in the last 2 games I played with him. Look for such signs and target him.

 

So that will take up only 1 out of the 4 power actions we have, leaving 3 for the later days. On Day 2 we will re-evaluate the results from D1 and N1 and consider our options again as to what actions to take next.

 

For Day 1, we need to lynch. We lynch the lurkers. As I have already pointed out town and specially the townies with power role really need to pay attention to this game. If you are a town and too busy to play, let the Mod know right now that you are not available so that a replacement can be found. Dont just stay around and do nothing ruining the game for everyone.

After this we could let the Jailkeeper protect the cop and it'll be a guessing game for the Mafia like Ali said.

That may be a nice strategy for us,I think. Cop is the most important role and should be protected at all costs, but the jail will hinder his ability too, making him useless.

I agree that he should come out with his results as soon he identifies someone as scum because of two reasons:

A) He may die the next night, with his knowledge
There's arole changer (or something ) on mafia's side and hemay change the result. Hence all accused by the cop should get a chance to explain themselves too, and that isn't possible if there's no time

I think I'd stand firm on the cop coming out on D3. Despite if he finds a scum on N1, I still think he has a good chance of making it past N2 alive and giving us more results.
