If Imran is correct on his hunch(he guessed correctly on the last game ) then we got a confirmed town and a dead scum here

 

Scum will not try to bus his friend this early in the game so people that voted early and didn't change his vote in the wagon should be given townie points

 

There is also a risk that Fermion is town, but this is still a good info for the power role than nothing at all

 

It's 3 against 10 for scum, it'd be risky for them to get attention this early in the game

 

 

I propose 3 options for today:

1. We go for Fermion

2. We go for no lynch

3. Someone starts another crusade on another person

Scum party will be in a quandary. If Fermion is scum they can't really sacrifice him on d1. If he is town they don't want to be seen Wagoning in on a townie lynch. So I am interested to see how this unfolds. Watcha gonna do my scum friends? if you mysteriously go inactive without taking a stand I will have my eyes on you.

I know that Fermion has requested a replacement but Kevin did say that he would continue to play until a replacement is found. We haven't seen him again yet even though he is active in other areas (including spam forums).

Active is a big stretch with two posts, non? When I'm active, and have time, I usually post a bunch, not in just a few threads. My inactivity and hence the inability to keep up with the games due to some RL commitments is the reason why I requested a replacement.

I'll address the issues as much as I can later today, in an hour or two.

I didn't. When I first posted and voted for no Lynch everyone was trying to bandwagon on someone just because their play style didn't suit them. I thought this was wrong and posted as much, along with the reason for no Lynch.

Re: Me acting scummy by trying to frame Ali.

I wasn't framing him, just posting my thoughts on a player. This is how I think. I consider all the sides of the story, all the ways that an action can be interpreted, and post my interpretations just in case I get killed. In the end, Ali's post looked pro town to me. His probabilities were accurate (I calculated, lol) and he was putting a lot effort into strategising even if I didn't agree with that particular one (the reason for which was given in my other second last post)

Well, i was the first one to advocate no Lynch, when all others were voting for arbitrary reasons. Then for the strategy, Mandarijn' strategy of letting the cop come out on day 2 seemed good enough to me, since in the previous game I played the cop car was killed early and could provide nothing of substance. Mandarijn's strategy ensured that that scenario had low chance of happening. Afterwards people started voting for stuff like not active enough and everything again. In another mafia (cybernations) Kevin advocated a similar lynch and killed a power role. This doesn't help us at all, but since Rhizo had already made a long post about why no Lynch was better, I just made a small post in agreement and what was the extent to which that strategy benefitted us.

I put my two cents in earlier after mandarijn's and posted my thoughts on lynch/no Lynch strategy, after that I got busy and couldn't keep up. That's why I asked for a replacement on

I believe what Fermion says. The things hes said and the fact that he's asking for a replacement only indicate someone who doesn't have time to keep up with how fast the discussion got in this game.

Id prefer lynching someone other than just an inactive but lowering the pool of inactives that scum can hide in now is better than trying to do it later.

I hate when people get really cheap and bring RL as an excuse: "I don't have time to play", "I don't care about this game anymore" ... yet they lurk on. That's the lowest scum can fall in order to save his hide (sure RL can hit anyone, but be honest as a player and state it as soon as it happens and not when you're about to get lynched).

 

That was my general thought...nothing about Fermion because he is sincere . He's not trying to hide but is asking for a replacement.

 

I think Robert might be a better target (though it would be better if he gets replaced) but for now I'd rather use option 3 that Lyner proposed and start another crusade.

I also don't know why people are suddenly going from 1 inactive to the next.  Some have shifted from Fermion now to Robert...i don't see the logic.  Fermion is mostly inactive looking for a replacement, Robert is inactive, and Whitebeard is inactive (posted he was resigning from his positions).  The only different is Fermion and Whitebeard to me have both made comments that have come off a bit scummy where Robert has not.  So if I'm going to vote for an inactive, it's going to be someone I at least have a little to go on, not someone who hasn't said a peep.  I'm not so quickly to count people off as not scum because they're looking for a replacement or not, and I don't see the logic where it's better to vote Robert then Fermion or Whitebeard.  Will likely gain more from lynching one of those 2 then Robert, though with Robert being completely inactive I have no problem with him being killed.

My apologies. Thinking about it now, it was to harsh indeed. I generally find such explanation troubling because I can't tell whether it's true or just an evasion...but on the other hand wondering if someone would play dirty is kind of disrespectful towards that person.

 

As for voting Fermion there was not much on him and he explained himself well, so people are looking for other targets. Anyway it seems that town's run out of steam and we won't get much further.

Mandarijn is one of the perfect example, his last post is at 22 May 2016 and he has the same posts count as me, moreover, he's active and posting at the other mafia(we meta now) so it is a deliberate move.

 

I'm sure we can find more examples but come on, you need better reasons than that to accuse me

Being more active in another mafia thread which is on day 5 doesn't make it intentional. Not trying to say you are outright wrong, but its day one and as Kevin always says "nobody knows nuthin".
Therefore not contributing much on day one is kinda irrelevant unless you're just inactive
