Whitebeard and Fermion's posts seem to stand out the most...with Whitebeard getting agitated quickly with ABT, and Fermion with just repeating most others have said.
I always seem to be after Imran and I really don't want to be again...but bit surprised no scum haven't jumped on him with him having 2 votes and only needing 4 at deadline, which is only in a few hours. This would go for Rafay as well. But he made a townie post IMO (know he is well versed in Mafia and knows what to say if he is scum), but giving him the benefit of the doubt. Plus he is someone he is great to have if town, hate to mislynch him and lose his ability to detect scum.

Will likely be going Fermion or Whitebeard. Know pretty vague for me, but on phone and wanted to out some thoughts since Deadline is coming up

I'd like to add to this. Rafay is giving me a Townie feel, as well as Imran. Despite our disagreement on him wanting to lynch (his playstyle from my understanding) and I feel a no lynch would prevent risks, Imran seems to have the towns best interest from the way I'm deciphering his posts. He hasn't done anything scummy (try to create a wagon on bs reasons, flip-flop his opinions, etc). As for Whitebeard, I feel it being his first game and him not yet understanding everyone's playstyles can explain his behavior fairly well.

As for Ferm, I really dont have a strong enough opinion either way to join a discussion about him yet. I don't get a town feel for certain, but I'm also not getting a huge scum feeling from his as well.

My biggest suspicion on scum would be Isocialism. At this point, I don't feel he is contributing as much as everyone else (or relatively close) in figuring out a game plan for the town. His posts seem to have little to no weigh in my opinion.

Now back to the lynch v. No lynch debate, I feel a majority of us thought (despite the front page saying each living player is one real day) didn't think Kevin would hold true to the 2 week long D1. At least I didnt. I do believe we can get more information in 13 days than most D1s. Now, enough to convince me to lynch D1 is in the air, but if we can get a strong enough feeling towards someone being scum, i.e. someone royally messes up, I'll admit I'd put my stance behind me and cast a vote. As for now, I'm still sticking to no lynch.

Hey, he was only scum once. He was the SK the second time.

 

 

Analyzing what we've seen so far, Whitebeard's posts have stood out the most in terms of feeling scummy to me.

ABT presented several realistic scenarios about the lynch vs no lynch debate that seem to make sense for the most part. Whitebeard then posted saying that after looking at the scenarios he believed that no lynch was the best course of action when ABT's analysis basically indicates the opposite. It could very well just be that Whitebeard is new but the responses seemed odd.

 

At this point I'm getting the following reads:

• Fermion - Leaning towards scum
• Imran Ehsan - Leaning towards town
• iSocialism - Needs to post more
• King Hitler - Leaning towards town
• Lyner - Needs to post more

If iSoc and Rafay are town they really need to actively join the strategy discussion so that we can figure out the best course of action. It'd be nice to hear more of Lyner's thoughts as well. I really just think that Robert's lack of posting is due to inactivity but he either needs to be pinged or replaced. We need input from everyone.

Well mod also mentioned he will continue until a replacement is found. So he should post more to clear his name (or implicate himself further ) before he is replaced.

Let's not jump to conclusions about Whitebeard. It's his first mafia play and I don't think he fully understands yet how to play it (it's my second game and I don't fully understand it too ). So far it's rather a matter of personal behavior than anything else.

 

Also all lynch or no-lynch debate always seem to be a personal preference. Some people do like it, some don't (even if it's beneficial for the town). I don't think scums would fight at all cost to force no-lynch on the first day.

 

Current suspicion might be a good starting point for some actions in the future, but for now I think we have a big chance of hitting a rookie that's just learning the ropes.

 

Also TW, I don't know if you're town. Leave it for others to decide .

Finally onto Rafay, I think he's a rational person. He's maximizing his gains and choosing the tactic that benefit's him while requiring the least effort. He's an ideal model player for the purpose of game theory...and I'm just a balancing factor that pushes him into finding Nash Equilibrium between personal and town gains .

That's not a compliment. I'm just making myself clear    . I don't think you're bad player. I think you're rational player who uses not-so-good-for-the-town tactic because it benefits you and you can get away with it. I'd still like to help you find Nash Equilibrium (and that means lynching you ).

 

I'm also curious, what did you have on your mind when making post no #126.

Right. I just meant that if he's getting replaced he probably won't be too motivated to post.

His responses could very well just be those of a new player and that's why I haven't re-cast my vote for him yet. I'm just saying that they did raise the suspicion flags a little bit.

If anything I'd recommend people to use the vote, if you don't find anyone scummy then vote No Lynch, otherwise pick a target please

We're five days out from the deadline. Does anyone have a suggestion for strategy that hasn't been made up to this point or anything to add to any of the other discussions?

 

At this point in time we have six people who have standing votes for a day 1 lynch, four people who have voted no lynch, and three of us who have yet to vote one way or the other. If we are choosing to lynch, we should probably start figuring out the best way to consolidate that vote to at least get us to the 4 votes necessary to lynch.

 

Current Votes:

-Imran seems reasonably sure that Fermion might be scum and COD seems to agree.

-Mandarijn and Rafay have both voted for Robert. Correct me if I'm wrong but are those both votes because of inactivity?

-The other two votes (ABT voting for Rafay and iSoc voting for Imran) both seem to be based off of behaviors from other games.

 

The votes for Fermion seem to be based more off of habits in this game rather than being based off of inactivity or other games. If we choose to lynch and need to consolidate our votes for a lynch, this might be the best way to go.

 

Personally, I would still like to hear more from Whitebeard and Lyner as well.
