Play-Off spots finalized in Week 13

 

A brief look at Regular season of the Teams that made it through

 

Seed no. 1: Han Solo Strike Team:  Representing the Ferrous division Han Solo are the top seeded team in the draft and won their division. After a less than spectacular start with 2 losses, the team is on a small 3-game winning streak right now heading into the last week of the regular season.

 

Seed no. 2: ThorsHammers: The leaders of Ferric division had a roller coaster first  weeks with alternate wins and losses. After that they started a 5 game winning streak that helped them clinch a play-off spot.

 

Seed no. 3: Gridiron Empire: The Empire started their season with a loss but struck back with a record 7 game win streak that helped them land in the play-offs and in contention w/ ThorsHammers for a division title. They were rated 2nd best team post draft.

 

Seed no. 4: Lahore Lightning: The 3rd worst rated team post draft had an incredible first 5 games which they all won including 2 by less than a point. The team had a rough nest few weeks but their earl season success helped them coast through the rest of the season and after picking up wins here and there, they are in the play-offs. One of the underdog teams.

Seed no 5: Brewsersalliance: The best rated team post-draft did not have the best of the regular season. They started with 3 wins back to back but their momentum was stifled by a 2 back to back losses. However, the team managed to gather enough wins to reach the play-offs w/ a 7-6 record. They are also the best team when it comes to intra-divisional match-ups (6-1).

 

Seed no. 6: Karachi Dolphins: The worst rated team post draft Karachi had a good start with a 5-1 record in 6 weeks but they were plagued by injuries and since then have been struggling to find the winning combination. The teams play-off contention was in jeopardy with a recent 4 game losing streak which they snapped against divisional rivals Lahore. Karachi like Breswsers have earned 6 of their 7 victories when playing against divisional opponents.

 

Seed no 7: Acme States Folly: Acme States had a winning start however a 5 game losing streak put a huge question mark on their play-off contention. Not to be counted out, the team put on a 4 game winning streak and inched out 1 more win to attain a 6-7 record which was enough for play-off qualification.

 

Seed no. 8: Texas Bees: Texas just did enough to limp to a play-off spot. They were on a literal roller-coaster ride alternating wins and losses each week. They have a 6-7 record.

After losing in week 13 by 0.56 points I am ending a frustrating season.

You absolutely destroyed me not too long ago. I assume it was because of that 180 something points I put up against you earlier this season. Anyway please don't drop your players it will mess with the playoffs.

Congrats!  Next year can we not do a week 17 championship?  Players always end up resting/sitting out which can really screw someone over (me lolol)

As the inaugural winner of the Steel Bowl I would like to take this opportunity and use my platform to discuss a topic that is near and dear to me and deserves the appropriate attention of all.

 

 

Since the dawn of time creatures have walked this earth. These creatures were magnificent. Some had long legs, some had auburn hair, some spit fire, some had rather large firm chests, and still others had a little bit of a temper.

 

But the one thing that all of these creatures had in common was their beauty. One glance at these beings and any man would be in awe of their majesty. Mouths would drop open and gazes would be fixed. It was a glorious time.

 

Unfortunately, these creatures have now largely gone extinct. No more are they seen in these parts with any regularity and we are far worse off because of it.

 

It's time that we wake up and perk up as we bring these beautiful creatures back.

 

I am, of course, referring to the Foxy Ladies of Foxtrot. We want them and we need them to come back.

 

I have long sought out these wonderful beings and with a little bit of charm and by virtue of my title as Steel Bowl Champion, I have convinced them to make their return to this world.
