TBH if it's game long, I'd be more apt to just lynch ABT now if we have no better options as he'd continue to skate by lynches because cops/trackers/etc are too afraid to investigate him. Basing him solely off a claim he was targeted by cupid is quite risky, especially later in game.

Even if it's not game-long, I'm inclined to lynch Ali bin Turban today.
At best, we lynch a scum who tried a clever gambit.
At worst, we lose a townie that doesn't have a power that will help the town.

Why would you conclude that Ali has no power? I mean chances are slim, but we can’t say this for certain or am I missing something?

im not asking for him to confirm if the role exists, im asking as a hypothetical.  TW saying if he would inform someone or not if they became a lover does not equate to him saying the role is in the game

Well at this point it seems TW is not going to answer how the role of cupid works, be it the only night it is used or for whole game.  Without knowing this, we don't know if it will ever be possible to target ABT with an investigation role without becoming lovers or not.  Thus, he himself has now become a huge liability with basically uncheckable since Admin wont elaborate on how Cupid's role would work if he implemented in game.

I suggest waiting a little bit for voting for abt on the chance tw does indeed tell us more about the role. Otherwise we risk potentially killing multiple town at once if he is indeed being honest and was targeted by anyone

well the cop can find out if he is town or making this whole thing up and is actually scum.  but its a risk cause if one dies all the lovers die.  so lets say you are the cop and u visit abt and become a lover, and sbg became a lover n1 with him.  if sbg was killed or lynched, the cop and abt would both die as well.  so the more people that are lovers, the worse it gets, since if one dies they all die.

 

i suggest staying far away from abt

Because the mod hasn't clarified that him being hit by cupid means anyone who uses a role on ABT would be a lover just for the same night he was targeted, or if that means for all game, basically from N1 forward.

I've just realized I got a message from TW yesterday. It turns out I got targeted by a Cupid last night. Now, there's not much info on the cupid role, so I have few questions:

 

@TW

1. Is the cupid role taken from the Greater Idea Mafia?

2. About night actions resolution. Mafia sends a cupid to visit me and also let's assume they try to kill me on the same night. Would everyone that visited me that night be killed (except for cupid), including the mafia guy delivering the kill?

3. Could cupid visit someone and at the same time deliver a kill?

how do you know for sure you were targeted by the cupid?  what does the message say?  I know the rules say you cant quote your role PMs, but would quoting the exact message (if it even exists) be a rules violation?

I'm just trying to figure out what Cupid is. Don't mind me.
