My wife, my eldest daughter, and myself actually sat down inside a little place called "Norm's Diner" this morning, and had full breakfast complete with two mimosas each. The only thing strange was the empty tables between parties. No one was wearing a mask... not even the server or the cook. We had an amazing time, left the girl a 20 spot tip, and went on with our day. I built my daughters new desk today. It's huge, and it was made in China. Things are looking up.

I was able to actually get a haircut today. The woman that cuts my hair has really been having a hard time since the shutdown, and she said if it happens again to call her, and she'll cut my hair regardless. I gave her a $30 tip... she gave me a hug.

 

The Coast Casinos are a chain of hotels all around Las Vegas that cater largely to the locals. I got word yesterday they are booking rooms starting May 23. I got an email from the Venetian/Palazzo... that's a Strip hotel... that says they are booking for June 1. So things are beginning to get back to normal here.

The problem is... I don't know if it's bull crap. What I see are logical explanations to a lot of unanswered questions. In response, I see an aggressive, extremely hostile, organized machine, that has been relentlessly unleashed to utterly silence these people. In my experience, that means there is some truth to what they are saying. I'm always in favor of following the money.

 

Looking at this from your side, I have not seen one single report about this on any news channel. That tells me a lot as well.

I guess you didn’t look very hard. Here’s just a few pieces showing her to be a fraud, please note she admits to being inaccurate. I could link dozens more. She is a debunked fraud. If you stubbornly hold on to that video as anything but fiction, you’re a sucker.

So, the government has finally started large-scale testing here in Hungary, and very few cases outside of hospitals and retirement homes have been found. The country is slowly reopening.

Yes it is important to me. Fake news aimed at discrediting science and genuinely helpful people, who are trying to slow the death rate at a time when 80,000+ Americans have died from a  new disease in less than 5 months. That is important to me. The fact that you, a man who models himself as a well informed American, who hates fake news, are spreading it is disappointing.

Fake news aimed at discrediting science and genuinely helpful people

That's the issue... it's not "Fake News" at all. It has not been reported by any news agencies... at all. It's a video clip from a movie someone is making, much the same as Michael Moore has done many. This is a free speech issue that is being argued online during an international lockdown that a lot of people believe was not an accident. These people are allowed to be heard. We are not obligated to believe them, but we are obligated to protect what they have to say. Unless of course you believe Michael Moore is free to make his movies, but these people must be silenced for the "greater good". That's Fascism.

 

For the record... I do not believe Covid-19 was an accident. I do believe it came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and I do believe it was done on purpose. Too strange that as soon as the China candidate Michael Bloomberg bombed out on Super Tuesday, we suddenly have a virus from China that destroys the US economy. I always thought Trump would destroy China's economy... yeah, I think this was done to us. We just showed them how easy it is to turn the entire USA into a herd of sheep. Shame.

I never suggested banning or silencing anything. And for the record, I am not a Michael Moore fan, some of his work has been very misleading and not documentary.

For the record... I do not believe Covid-19 was an accident. I do believe it came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and I do believe it was done on purpose. Too strange that as soon as the China candidate Michael Bloomberg bombed out on Super Tuesday, we suddenly have a virus from China that destroys the US economy. I always thought Trump would destroy China's economy... yeah, I think this was done to us. We just showed them how easy it is to turn the entire USA into a herd of sheep. Shame.

In answer toyour question as to what made America stop being great, I have some concrete examples for you. America lost its greatness when a 70 year old hate spewing huckster got elected president and succeeded in his agenda to make the rich richer at any cost to the middle and lower classes. And his success at spreading hate and dismantling the checks and balances that help define America has really dented our greatness. moscow mitch, presiding over the senate trial, after announcing that he was working directly with trump’s defense team, damaged America. The gross mismanagement of the pandemic has been the icing on the tarnish trump spread upon us. In a nutshell, trump’s mismanagement, cronyism, and general corruption has made America not great.
