FYI SinKon - I had FoS'd AoD (The person you replaced) previously. You haven't done much to change that opinion.

Regarding the random placement, we should not have EM derive our positioning until we come to a lynch or no-lynch or deadline. Why?

Because who the mafia votes for will be EXTREMELY influenced by the positioning within the plane. If I'm mafia and we occupy rooms 2, 3, and 4, we would obviously try to lynch someone in room 1.

EM, you should tell us our assignments either:
- One day before deadline,
- L-1 / NL-1

Maybe I'm missing something. We have 13 people. No matter who gets lynched, all four rooms will still have 3 people going into the night. Let me know if I've over looked something.


I'd like to focus on lynching now.

I'm voting for SinKon and here's my reasons.

SinKon is making it very hard to focus and I find myself skipping over his posts. I feel like I have to sift through a bunch of spam to get the message. I know he's a new player and I should cut him slack (sorry SinKon) but this game is getting cluttered up enough without him. I don't want someone around that makes it harder to focus on catching scum.

Alright, I'll get on board with this. I think SinKon is the best candidate to be scum. I've had an FOS on him now, and seeing that we're actually getting down to voting I might as well put the hammer down. In addition to the reasons I FOSd him for and the reasons other players have voted for him my specific reason is that he continues to promulgate strategies that do not benefit the town. We're talking about more than the general lynch/no-lynch debate. Unlike in other games, with the advantage of rooms here we can show that it is undoubtablely the best strategy to go for the lynch here. With that:

In my first mafia game on these forums we all had one bullet to kill anyone we wanted. I threatened someone and they turned around and killed me outright. It was funny but, you're lucky to have the luxury of people actually voting to kill you. Plus, you have 3ish votes on you now? Its more than that to get a majority. Convince everyone else but, please do not withdraw!

For the record, I like your amount of posting.

On the first day, some players insist on a lynch but nobody really knows anything so it's really a random lynch. If you get lynched and are shown to be townie, I'll say "I told you so!" (I always do)

It takes 7 votes for a majority lynch to end the day before the deadline.

I think EM summed it up pretty nicely. I found myself skimming over the recent posts as well. The problem is not so much that Sinkon posts a lot or that his posts are lengthy. The problem is that his posts are not very coherent and that in general they are based on debatable 'facts'. For example his theory that Sir Jesus cannot be the cop because he voted no lynch did not make much sense to me. Why would the cop be any less likely to vote no lynch than any of the other players? Sure, ignoring WIFOM and the implication of voting no lynch for a moment, I could see that a no lynch is in favor of the mafia and that the mafia players would, theoretically, thus be more likely to vote no lynch. However, why would a cop be less likely to vote no lynch than a regular townie?

Anyway, because he is new, I had decided to just ignore him and give him a few days. I still can't say I am convinced he is scum. I could see a new player getting excited and jumping on every piece of evidence he thinks he can find. I can also understand that a new player may come to certain conclusions that the more experienced players know are not necessarily true. However, I have no other suspects and, therefore, I wouldn't mind lynching him. If nothing else, it would increase my motivation for reading all posts again and it would get us down to the desirable 12 players for 4 rooms.

What I found remarkable is people claiming they were already suspicious of AoD. The only thing I remember about AoD is that he was inactive. Of course, lurking is a known mafia tactic. But he did ask to be replaced. Seeing how AoD had to ask for a replacement because he didn't have enough time, I can't see how we can hold the previous inactivity of AoD against Sinkon. I, therefore, find the people quoting previous suspicions of AoD more suspicious. It offers an easy way to jump on/support the bandwagon without offering any real evidence.

You are correct. One of the reasons to no-lynch is to avoid lynching the cop. If you are the cop, that reason is gone.

By that logic, everyone voting for a lynch has a higher probability of being the cop than those that voting no lynch. It would be statistically better for us to lynch you or Sir Jesus then right?

i was thinking the same thing.

i think i need to go reread stuff...the conversation got quite a bit cluttered with the whole lynch/list debate and i havent been focusing much on scum hunting...

As to my previous FoS on AoD it was due to the support of the "Max Spread" strategy without giving any reason for two days, the response to the FoS was "I don't respond to every FoS". Thus the suspiscion.

I will be very grateful if you don't lynch me but the town has too lynch somebody. The odds is about the same for everyone, though I am very suspicious of sir jesus, I can not be sure.
Even, my own logic does not provide a good reason not to kill me...
